Deliberate mistake: When Shishka-Jack falls, the rope is tied round his left ankle. When the pole gets stuck, in the second close-up of Jack spinning free the rope is actually tied round his right ankle (his spinning loose of the rope is also the opposite way). (00:42:00)

Deliberate mistake: When Will is bound and brought before "Chief" Jack, Will says, "The compass!" and there is a close-up of the compass, as it hangs to the right of the long striped cloth. Deliberate mistake: As Ray drives the pickup truck, an oncoming vehicle beeps and the marshal heads behind Ray's pickup. In the shot through the cab's rear window facing the bed, as the marshal pulls behind, the bed's side wall interior is seen (note the metal loop tie down on top) and the entire tailgate is gone; yet the tailgate is intact later, when the pickup flips over. The tailgate was removed for the shot to allow visibility of the marshal's vehicle.

Deliberate mistake: As "Fake Dolly" runs away from Gracie, it is rather obvious in the shot facing Dolly as she runs down the stairs and then when she turns to look behind her, that it really is a fake Dolly running. (00:48:20)

Deliberate mistake: When the rocks invade Goblin City, one Goblin runs into his home shouting, "I've had enough. I'm going to bed," in a close-up. His distinctive home and the one beside it, are the same homes seen near the large main gate, when Sir Didymus and the crazy riders squared off earlier (and other shots). However, in the close-up, things such as the long rope mounted to the pulley above the door disappear, and yet, pottery, baskets, etc., suddenly appear. (01:21:20 - 01:24:45)

Deliberate mistake: When Sarah, et al are surrounded by the Goblins in Goblin City, the first cannon fires causing an explosion in front of some buildings, one of which has a hanging sign with scissors on it. Later, after the squatty Goblin says, "Hey! I just fired you!" another cannon fires causing an explosion, and the very same shot is shown, only the first one was flipped. (01:20:15 - 01:25:35)

Deliberate mistake: While Faramir leads the Gondorian soldiers as they ride down the path in Minas Tirith, in the wideshot just prior to when Gandalf shouts, "Faramir!" they pass particularly distinctive buildings and a statue - this wideshot is flipped, the swords are at the soldiers' right sides. Then about ten shots later, they pass the same buildings and statue as they ride towards the front gate. (01:29:40)

Deliberate mistake: At Minas Tirith, Gandalf slams his staff across Denethor's face and shouts, "Prepare for battle." In the next shot he rides Shadowfax, from right to left, past a fix-it shop and three shots later he rides past the same shop, from left to right - the second shot is flipped. (02:01:35)

Deliberate mistake: During the Trojan attack on the Greeks at the beach, before Hector and "Achilles" have at it, there are two separate close-ups of Hector's sword slicing across a man's face, who promptly spins around and spews blood. This particular man is enjoyed twice in two takes of the same shot, just before and after Odysseus' close-ups. Then as if that's not enough, a few shots later this spewing man is actually seen a third time, but this time from another angle. (01:42:30)

Deliberate mistake: Numerous times throughout the film, when the men draw their swords from the cloth/wood/leather lined underside of their shields, which is plainly visible in many shots, the loud metallic rasping sound is dramatically heard. It is even heard in many other instances, such as when Hector removes the blade from Patroclus' neck or when Achilles takes the sword out of the sand, after Eudorus tells him of Patroclus' death. Deliberate mistake: When Achilles reaches the bottom of the stairs of Apollo's temple a Trojan pulls on Achilles' spear so he elbows that Trojan in the face, then turns and slices another one. When Achilles turns around he is face to face with a particular Trojan, who has two decorative clasps in his long hair, then he slices him across his face and he falls. In the next shot he fights another couple of Trojans. The following shot is the exact same shot as the previous one with the Trojan, who has two decorative clasps in his hair, that he proceeds to slice across the face again. (00:42:55)

Deliberate mistake: After Gregorio and Ingrid disappear through the ceiling hole, as robots Carmen and Juni appear, the waterfall painting is visible on the right, as is part of the 'water' and its container below. However, when the robots run up the wall and flip over, the 'water' and container below the painting are gone. (01:13:00)

Deliberate mistake: When Machete crashes through the puzzle shaped window, in the wide shot it's blatantly obvious that Lisp is a double (who appears in other shots as well), for one thing, in this shot light brown haired Lisp now has black hair! Also in this shot Ms. Gradenko moves off to the left, yet in the next shot she's still beside Lisp. (01:17:10)

Deliberate mistake: When Ingrid, Gregorio, Carmen and Juni are faced with all the robot children, Machete jumps through the puzzle window to their rescue. As he rolls off the floor the large bandage on the stuntguy's left elbow is visible, though it isn't in the previous or following shots. (01:17:10)

Deliberate mistake: When Juni runs out of the white/grey room, the next shot is flipped as he stops short in front of the backwards virtual room sign. Deliberate mistake: After Carmen rescues Juni on the boat/sub, he accidentally re-engages the autopilot and they submerge. In the next shot as two Thumb Thumbs jump off their speedboat, the name, 'Donzi', that is written across the side of the boat, is backwards. This shot is flipped. (00:24:10)

Deliberate mistake: In the Extended Edition, the location of the Tomb of the Stewards is shown to be behind the city of Minis Tirith, at the cemetery on the mountainside, accessible via a long bridge. Flaming Denethor later runs to the far prow of the city, leaps off and plummets. The distance between the two areas makes it is obviously entirely impossible for someone, even adrenaline charged Denethor, to run this distance while his oiled flesh burns. Admitted on the commentary that it's poetic license, due to director Peter Jackson's long awaited vision for this dramatic shot. (00:13:15 - 00:30:50)

Deliberate mistake: When Harry drops the Monster Book of Monsters, in the first shot facing Harry's feet as the book chomps at him, he runs backwards a few steps and he stands at the foot of the bed. However, in the shot facing the fireplace, there is actually plenty of floorspace now, much more than other shots, between the rug and bed for Harry to continue to run backwards. (00:15:15)

Deliberate mistake: As the Darlings and the Lost Boys laugh in the nursery, the narrator says, "There could not have been a lovelier sight...except a strange boy who was staring in at the window." When the camera pans out through the window Peter's back is visible at the right of the window. This is not Jeremy Sumpter. (01:40:00)
