Continuity mistake: In class, when Moody writes his name, unforgivable (curses), etc., on the chalkboard, the handwriting distinctly differs in the following shots. (00:22:30)

Continuity mistake: When Barbossa pulls apart his jacket, after he is shot by Jack, the fatal wound bleeds out staining a large portion of the front of his white shirt with blood. However, when Barbossa falls to the ground, in the close-up after he drops his beloved apple, his jacket is open and amazingly ALL the blood on his white shirt is gone. (This is ONLY visible on VHS.)

Continuity mistake: Aboard the Black Pearl, after Elizabeth walks out onto the deck and sees the skeletal pirates for the first time, in the shots as she stumbles backward and is tossed in mid-air her strapped shoes with heels are visible. After she knocks off Grapple's skeletal head with the wheel, as Elizabeth runs down the stairs her right shoe is perfectly visible and it most certainly isn't one of those pretty shoes with heels. Continuity mistake: At Isla de Muerta, when Will's hands are bound, Jack tosses Will the sword. In the two shots facing Will, first as he catches it then as he pushes the bald pirate, Will's hose are rolled down, whereas in the previous and following shots his hose are on properly. Orlando Bloom preferred to have the hose down during much of the shoot, when it was supposedly not visible onscreen. (This is ONLY visible on VHS.)

Continuity mistake: Aboard the Pearl, after Elizabeth begins to eat the turkey leg, in the shot facing Barbossa as he pours her wine, there is a hunk of bread with a bite taken out of it on Elizabeth's plate which wasn't in the previous shots. Problem is that it's not until three shots later that Elizabeth actually takes bread from the platter and bites into it, before dropping it. (This is ONLY visible on VHS.)

Continuity mistake: At the bank, when Gracie pushes the carriage into the "housewife," she leaps on the woman, the gun goes off and the carriage falls. After it cuts to Clonsky being hit by the bullet, when Gracie and the woman hit the ground the carriage is standing upright. Yet a few shots later, as they grapple for the gun, the carriage is overturned on the floor. (00:04:40)

Continuity mistake: When Gracie and Clonsky are at the bank, there is a tray attached to the handle of the carriage (with a sippy cup). After Gracie tells the "housewife" there's an agent in the carriage, in the shot facing Gracie as she tips the carriage, the tray comes loose. However, in the next shot the tray is still attached. Continuity mistake: When Gracie is reviewing Joel's etiquette rule book, her right hand holds the book while her left flips the pages, but in a consecutive shot she is suddenly holding the book with her left hand flipping pages with her right. (00:17:10)

Continuity mistake: When Gracie is on TV with Regis, he asks, "Could you give us a little encore..." and points toward the side of the stage with his outstretched left arm, but in the next shot he points with his right arm. (00:18:40)

Continuity mistake: At the kidnappers' shack, when one says, "Let's line this up," the TV's position in this shot not only differs in the next close-up, the junk beside the TV stand is gone. (00:31:30)

Continuity mistake: When Gracie is toying with Tom Abernathy about the press conference and says, "Ok everybody, I would love to stay and chat," the white handbag strap faces out, but in the next shot it's at the other side of the bag, facing Gracie. (00:44:00)

Continuity mistake: While at the bar with Tom Abernathy, Gracie's multi-strand pearl necklace keeps changing positions throughout the scene, with the limo driver. (00:42:50)

Continuity mistake: In Priscilla's classroom, Gracie removes the girl's hair clips and tosses them across the desk. However, when Priscilla stands up the hair clips are directly in front of Gracie, and they change position as the scene progresses. (01:45:45)
