The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: Homer isn't the most safety cautious person and this would have frightened Marge knowing he could harm or injure the family. With Marge being an officer she would have had training in firearms and firearm safety so it was likely she was more comfortable having one.

Correction: It would have been tough, but could have knocked the phone onto his shoulders to hold between his neck and used his nose to push the buttons.

The Simpsons (1989)

Helter Shelter - S14-E5

Corrected entry: When the Simpsons enter Lenny's apartment, they discover that he is exceptionally rich. Lenny is supposed to be poor, as in "Realty Bites" when he was shown to be living in a rundown shack.

Correction: Lenny never says he was rich. Thats just an assumption because he has a nice apartment. The terrible noise and vibration from the game that was being played against one of his walls shows the likely reason why if he wasn't rich he was able to afford the apartment. Added to this Lenny's financial situation has never really been established to make a conclusion to how he got the apartment. So for all we know Lenny started to save his money from that point, inherited money, got a loan etc.

Correction: Mr Krabs has shown on many cases to suddenly change his mind about how the Krusty Krab works. With no notice he has made Spongebob and Squidward deliver pizzas, forced them to work longer hours when he changed it to being open 24 hours a day and so on. Being that its now open Sunday is not exactly too much of a stretch.

Lummie

Correction: The point of the mispronunciation is the joke in the episode. Everyone seems to get his last name so horribly wrong. If you want to be technical, Spongebob doesn't really refer to Squidward by his last name and we can assume that maybe seeing it written on the certificate he presumed it was something different from Tentacles. A bit like how some names can sound and be pronounced much differently from how they are written.

Lummie

Corrected entry: The boys swear so much in the episodes, yet they are shocked when they hear Terrance and Philip swear.

Correction: It's the joke in the film. Being that there was bleeps when they spoke we assume from the film they never really heard what was being said, so to actually hear it without the bleep is what makes such a surprise for the boys.

Lummie

Correction: Patrick DOESN'T have a nose and in quite a few episodes thats made very clear. In "Wet painters" it was just done for comedic effect as Spongebob pulled out only one hair for his brush but Patrick pulled out a huge gob of hair.

No Free Rides / I'm Your Biggest Fanatic - S2-E10

Corrected entry: SpongeBob grabs the car after Ms Poff steals his boat. After a while, an "Educative television" sing appears that stops SpongeBob. There's a shot of Ms. Poff hearing SpongeBob screaming because of the television. But SpongeBob is in the radio area at the time. How can he be in two places at the same time?

Correction: We hear his voice becoming fainter as Puff drives on and just before she turns on the radio we don't hear him screaming anymore.

Correction: The likely reason is that Sandy's dome had no air movement or moisture. For example if you had a wet towel it will dry much quicker in a glass enclosure than just outside in the sun. Being on the surface they wouldn't have dried out as quickly and they were only there for less than a minute. In Sandy's dome they were there for a much longer period.

Aladdin (1992)

Corrected entry: When Ali enters the Palace throne room, a large doorway with blue curtains is on the wall to the left of the throne. The Sultan flies past this point several times in his Carpet flight and it has vanished.

Mike Wotton

Correction: The curtains remain there the entire time. There really is only one shot of that entrance when the sultan rides the carpet and the curtains are still there.

Corrected entry: As soon as Frankie pulled out Maggie's breathing tube, it should have triggered some kind of alarm in the nurses station. Instead he was able to talk to her for a while and inject the adrenalin. He didn't even put the breathing tube back in when he left, to hide the evidence. They certainly should have suspected foul play.

Correction: Before Frankie removes the breathing tube there is a shot of him pushing a switch on the heart monitor as to not alert the nurses when he injected the adrenalin. As for foul play, there was no doubt they would suspect that she was euthanised even if he put the tube back in. Things like the autopsy would reveal the adreanlin and the heart monitor being off would have alerted them in any case. Frankie was not seen coming in so he was just concerned about not being interrupted and that was the reason for turning the heart monitor off and leaving it off.

SB-129 / Karate Choppers - S1-E14

Corrected entry: Squidward goes into the past and shows how to catch claims. When he returns into the present, he asks who invented that game of catching claims. SpongeBob and Patrick answer with the truth, Squidward was the one that invented it. However, how can SpongeBob and Patrick know this, if more than a million years have passed? It's impossible that the SpongeBob and Patrick of the past told everybody that Squidward invented that game and the story survived a million years, making SpongeBob to know that Squidward was the inventor.

Correction: The most likely theory is that the information of what Squidward looked like was passed on over generations. In the scene they don't say Squidward's name but when asked who created the game they say "You are!". That didn't mean Squidward's name was passed on over time but his image would have been and two and two together they linked it to being Squidward.

Event Horizon (1997)

Corrected entry: The crew members whom the ship shows images of death (their own or otherwise) are shown accurate images we see later on. However, when the Captain is shown the death and torture of his current crewmate D.J., the body is hanging from the hooks almost vertically while the actual body is slanted in a much more horizontal position. The ship could show that future, but not the past?

Correction: The ship was manipulating their minds and using their thoughts and memories to scare them, not showing them the future and the past. Take Miller for example, he keeps being shown his old friend who was burnt to death and uses it to scare him. So essentially when D.J. was klled, Weir was able to kill him like in the nightmare but may have not carried out it out exactly like it was shown in the image.

Happy Gilmore (1996)

Corrected entry: When Shooter steals the jacket, everyone is chasing him and "Frankenstein" is in the middle of the pack. Then in the next shot, you hear him beating up Shooter.

Correction: The action takes place off camera so its near impossible to tell whether he got there too soon. The sounds we hear are just punches and could be from other spectators as there were a lot chasing after him.

Lummie

Corrected entry: If You've ever watched the TV series of SpongeBob, you will know that he dries up and almost dies every time he is out of water for a few minutes. Yet in the movie, SpongeBob and Patrick are on the beach chatting with David Hasselhoff and nothing happens to him.

Migster

Correction: Not quite right. In the episode Pressure, Spongebob and the gang take on a bet to go onto the surface for at least a minute. They get onto the land for over a minute and Spongebob never comes close to drying up.

Lummie

Correction: They were in wet-ish air in both Pressure and the movie. This could be why they don't dry up.

The Rock (1996)

Corrected entry: When Stanley is doing the 360 in the Ferrari, the airbag deploys and Stanley puts the gun against the bag so he's not crushed like a grape. About 4 seconds pass and he never pulls the trigger, so the airbag was not popped.

Correction: Stanley doesn't take that long. Watching the scene he takes less than a second between cocking the gun and pointing it at the airbag then we hear him shooting it when the camera is focusing on the cable car coming down the road.

Lummie

Corrected entry: When the big tugger is hurtling towards the waterfront, don't you think the Coast Guard would have warned the personnel at the waterfront about a boat going REALLY fast in their direction?

Correction: The coastguard may have only thought to warn at the last moment when it was too late. It could also be believed the coast guard was sure they would slow down or start turning. Even if they were concerned they might believe that the crew would warn them if they weren't able to slow down but as we see they were all dead - something the coast guard wasn't aware of.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Corrected entry: When Hammond's visitors are viewing the 'movie' about how DNA is extracted, a hypodermic syringe is shown taking a DNA sample from an amber source. It's clear that the syringe is one used exclusively for a tuberculosis skin test. It's even labeled as such because you can see the word 'tuberculin' on it.

Nicki

Correction: Essentially the mistake is of the characters not the film's creators. We know that in the film the people in the park created the footage to illustrate how dinosaurs were made. It might have not been the most essential thing to get stock footage that the syringe be labelled correctly.

Lummie

Correction: They don't EAT the snow to survive, they realise the snow is just water when they eat it. Sandy's treedome was uninhabitable to sealife because there was no water and the sun dried them out. The cold of the snow meant they didnt need their helmets filled with water to survive.

Your Shoe's Untied / Squid's Day Off - S2-E2

Corrected entry: In 'Your Shoe's Untied', Spongebob inches along the kitchen of the Krusty Krab to hand the patty to Squidward. You can see from the background that he moves past a box of patties, and even farther (judging by the time he takes), yet he remains in the same spot. I understand that it's for comedic effect, but it still doesn't make any sense.

Correction: The entire time we only see Spongebob's expression, and presumably what he was thinking. In other words he believed he had was right next to Squidward. When he tries to hand the patty he is no where near and Squidward yells "I'm over here now move!" indicating Spongebob thought he was closer than he actually was.
