8.6/10.An epic here. The Amazons portrayed as they should be:cold blooded warriors who care for nothing but conquest and killing men. Here they constantly terrorize the local villages for tribute and to forcibly rape the men to reproduce. It's a much more accurate portrayal of them than anything that dopey character Wonder Woman could ever do.Here they're not about peace and love, they're about domination and bloodlust. They care only for the expansion of their empire and use men as a means to an end to ensure their race survives. The ending's one of the more chilling one's I've seen in a sword and sandals movie.

Rob245

6.9/10.A pretty good Amazon movie.I can understand some people not liking it due to its cheesiness. But I enjoyed it thoroughly as it was an amusing watch and perfect cheesy movie of the 70's.They seemed to play it up some like a Looney Toons cartoon.A pretty decent effort.

Suicide Squad (2016)

8.5/10.It's a bit of a mess sure but I've seen worse. Ghostbusters 2016 anyone? Here they're trying to be faithful to the source material with a well rounded cast who match each other pretty good.I would say the best two here are Margot Robbie and Will Smith in one of the few good movies he's had outside of Men In Black and Independence Day.The real star is Margot Robbie who brings Harley Quinn to life perfectly. If anything positive should be said here it's that Margot Robbie proves herself as a very good and capable actress with the right material.Sure it's not on The Avengers level but I still prefer Suicide Squad to The Avengers.

The Enforcer (1976)

7.1/10.A decent third movie in the Dirty Harry franchise.Clint Eastwood still remains great as Dirty Harry Callahan. Here he tackles the subject of women as cops with Tyne Daly who's actually pretty good here. I never felt like they got it across to the audience what the bad guys wanted.Still it's a pretty good effort here that shouldn't be ignored.

Scary Movie 3 (2003)

7.7/10.The last good Scary Movie.I found the presence of too many famous cameos distracting particularly Jenny McCarthy, Pamela Anderson, Queen Latifah, Eddie Griffin, and all those rappers.Anna Faris still carries the movie with no hint she might be tiring of it.Regina Hall also shows the same enthusiasm as before with Simon Rex being a surprising break out actor here.I found his character of George Logan funny as hell despite the presence of Charlie Sheen, another unnecessary person here.If anything this should've been the last one in the franchise were it not for studio greed.Still I regard as a pretty decent sequel just not on the level of its two predecessors.Leslie Nielsen's a wonderful addition as President Harris. If would've been hilarious if President Harris had gotten his own movie, imagine the hilarity there.Still this is a pretty good send off, which is how I regard Scary Movie 3, the end of the franchise.

Scary Movie 2 (2001)

9.5/10.A pretty good sequel to an already excellent satire. Here Anna Faris is again with the same level of zest and she brings the best out in everyone else in the cast.Tim Curry's presence was a nice touch as he seemed to be game for this.Satirizing the like of The Exorcist and Poltergeist isn't easy but the Wayans, to their credit, did pretty good here.I found it solid, not lacking in laughs or in acting.Anna Faris does another great job here.If anything this would be a sequel that came close to topping the original.

Texas Chainsaw 3D (2013)

7.2/10.A pretty decent direct sequel to the original.I thought it was nice that they had Gunnar Hansen there as well as screened it for Tobe Hooper.Alexandra Daddario is a break out star here.Clearly she got the material and ran with it.They focus on what made the original great and crafted a well told story here. The idea of making the Sawyers sympathetic was an novel concept that paid off.If anything I was entertained, never bored, this worked well even if they never do another sequel.

The Village (2004)

7.1/10.Pretty good.I thought it was decent though two mistakes bothered me.One being is how they're just sequestered away from the real world and Bryce Dallas Howard as the lead. She shouldn't have been there. She did a decent job though I would've preferred Judy Greer, who plays her older sister, as the lead.If not for her last name, Bryce wouldn't be getting any work.Judy Greer should've been the lead here.I otherwise found it a pretty decent movie regardless.

Cursed (2005)

8.9/10.One of the better day werewolf movies made.Christina Ricci and Judy Greer really sell this movie. They play well off each other. The look of the werewolf was well done for modern day effects.I liked the nods to the original Wolf Man, the godfather of werewolf movies.Wes Craven, despite interference by the Weinsteins, crafted a rather good, chilling werewolf movie.

Rob245

10/10.Possibly one of the best biographical movies ever made.Sissy Spacek shows her great acting range here. She's superb as Loretta Lynn, her singing's pretty good.I definitely thought I was seeing Loretta Lynn. She's one of the best actresses of all time, deserved the Oscar she won for this movie. If anything else this is one of the only biographical movies I've seen and liked.Watch it for yourselves, you might like it, I sure did.

The Fifth Element (1997)

7.4/10.An underrated sci fi movie. One of the first big movies for Milla Jovovich. The Leeloo character was a cute innocent type who could charm anyone.Bruce Willis does great here as Korben Dallas, one of his best roles outside of John McClane. One of the few negatives here is the over the top character played by Chris Tucker who reminds me of that freakish RuPaul. The best parts are the interactions between Willis and Jovovich, sort of like Jane and Tarzan. If anything it succeeds in being entertaining.

Caddyshack (1980)

10/10.The Slobs vs The Snobs. It's one of the best comedies ever made.Rodney Dangerfield and Bill Murray are brilliant here, would become comedic icons. The gopher joke's hilarious, the Baby Ruth candy bar in the pool is a gag you'll clutch your sides laughing at the first time. The antics at a golf club here are priceless.Director Harold Ramis was a genius when he headed this masterpiece.Comedy is defined excellently with Caddyshack. This one's in the top 10 of 100 greatest comedies ever made.

Spider-Man 3 (2007)

9.3/10.The hated one of the trilogy.I understand people's feelings as I questioned having Topher Grace playing Venom. He didn't seem to get it.If anything, he just seemed off.The symbiote affecting Peter's personality was a nice touch taken from the animated series. If anything it seemed like they were doing Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde here.I also wondered why have Bryce Dallas Howard as Gwen Stacy if she's not in there much, maybe 20 minutes tops?It was probably to further her career beyond being a star's child. I've heard Sam Raimi wanted to do the Vulture instead which would've been interesting, though I would've probably hated having John Malkovich in there. Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, and James Franco were still solid, good performances like before. Then there was Thomas Haden Church as the Sandman.I liked the idea of a desperate father in crime trying to get money to help cure his sick daughter. If anything I found this to be one of the most picked on sequels of all time, not nearly as bad as Star Wars:The Rise Of Skywalker.

Rob245

9.6/10.A sequel that brilliantly matches if not surpasses its predecessor.Sequels have that problem because the first movie was so good it's hard to match.A lot of the time they either flounder or stink. This one though is an example of doing a sequel right like Shrek 2 or The Empire Strikes Back.Eddie Murphy's one of the funniest guys ever to grace the big screen, He's the perfect example of someone who moved from TV to the big screen effortlessly. If anything, I found him reprising Axel Foley great.Beverly Hills Cop 2 is one sequel that matches and surpasses the original movie with ease.

Rob245

1/10.I can't believe what they allow on the big screen nowadays. Here it's just puppets being used to say and do some of the crudest and vulgar things possible. Don't get me wrong, I found the jokes mocking Hollywood people amusing, hence the one out of ten here. But let's face it, being vulgar, crass, and gross is all Matt Stone and Trey Parker know how to do.It's what's made them millionaires today. This is nothing more than a South Park spin off just with puppets instead of the crude paper doll animation. It's abysmal.

Twins (1988)

9.3/10.A fun Schwarzenegger movie and the only time I could tolerate Devito. The whole idea was so silly in that's what made it work.A man created to be perfect sounds part mad scientist part Nazi thinking. Here though it come off harmless and funny especially when a second child's born.If there was a message it's man shouldn't try to create a perfect person because he can't.The best one can do is raise a child with love and understanding not like an experiment. The love interests here of Chloe Webb for Devito and Kelly Preston for Schwarzenegger were great.I found Ms Preston to be one of the best leading ladies in any of Schwarzenegger's movies. She will be missed.

Rob245

9/10.The second Muppet movie and it's quite good.I was entertained as the Muppets are for everybody from young to old.The plot itself worked well with them causing mayhem in England. If anyone proved themselves here it was Diana Rigg. She'd been a Bond girl, had her own TV show, now doing this.If anything, she became immortalized just like when she was in the sixth James Bond movie.I would say to anyone if they asked me to name the five best Muppet movies here would be my list:1.The Muppet Movie,2.The Great Muppet Caper,3.Muppets In Space, 4. Muppets Take Manhattan,5.Muppet Treasure Island. They are and always be American icons. The Muppets were and still are part of a lot of people's memories because of the genius of Jim Henson who should always be remembered.

Chloe (2009)

9.7/10.One of the best erotic/part mystery thrillers I've seen.Yes it's a remake from an earlier french movie Nathalie but so what?.Here we get Julianne Moore seduced by Amanda Seyfried into a night of hot, passionate lovemaking.I would say the remake's better. The paranoia of Moore's Dr Catherine Stewart over her husband David's infidelity is well written and performed.Julianne Moore, when she's got the right scripts, proves herself as one of the best actresses of the last 30 years. She plays the role with the right mix of strength and vulnerability hence how Chloe could seduce her character.Amanda Seyfried's like her in that she too can be great with the right scripts. Her character of Chloe is cloaked in mystery. We as the audience can see she's a hooker but one who seems to aspire beyond that and find someone who counts, someone who she could love, who'd love her.If anything it also took cues from Desert Hearts of a straight laced up tight woman who seems to unwind in the presence of a younger carefree woman. They seem to exist only for each other for awhile, forgetting the world. The love scene subtly spoke on various things. One thing was relationships and how sometimes people may have gotten with the wrong person instead of waiting.Second was letting go and just seeing where a situation takes you.Third was how, even in this day and age, too many people are uptight about going with their own feelings and being happy opting to stay in a bad relationship or situation. This is made for people who like the genre of erotic mysteries.

Godzilla (2014)

9.7/10.The Godzilla we should've gotten in the 2000's.Still it was worth the wait.I had no problem with Godzilla not appearing soon enough, it was like the shark in Jaws, to fuel our imagination. If anything it worked, then Godzilla showed up it paid off.Aaron Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, and Bryan Cranston were a well put together cast.I liked the look of the MUTO's who seemed to be fueled from nightmares. The idea of such creatures having roamed the earth before man who're now revived certainly worked in the realm of science fiction.Godzilla himself is as good here as he was in the original 1954 version.Forget the 90's disaster with that doofus Mathew Broderrick, this is the true Godzilla. One of the best scenes was when he's leaving after seemingly having died.He stops at the water, then lets out his epic roar before diving in and swimming off. That shot was magnificent and made me eager for the sequel. It too would be well worth the wait.

Rob245

6/10.Possibly an interesting idea that fell flat somewhere along the way.I could sense the obvious bitterness in Wes Craven's direction here as well as Heather Langekamp's performance.Sure it may stink if you're known for only one role as an actor or movie as a director but so what? It's better people remember you for one role/movie/show than to forget you.Robert Englund and John Saxon were positive here as they seemed gracious about being there since the movies made them popular. The idea of a demon taking Freddy's form was interesting but the story seemed to drag it down.If anything, Wes Craven should be remembered as an iconic horror director who sadly turned bitter years later but his genius shouldn't be forgotten.Heather Langenkamp here still remained the same, wooden with little to no expression or range. It's an OK movie.
