Trivia: Just an interesting contrast and parallel... Director David Leitch previously made "Deadpool 2," which had a character named Domino who had the superpower of having amazing luck. Things would just work out for her. "Bullet Train" is almost the opposite. In this movie, Brad Pitt's Ladybug mentions throughout that he has terrible luck, and this reflected by absurd and awful things happening to and around him frequently. (Although he does have flashes of good luck here and there).

Trivia: Minor Spoilers: It is revealed at the end that Ladybug's handler is played by Sandra Bullock in a cameo. (Her voice is heard throughout the film, but she doesn't appear onscreen until the final scene.) Originally, the role was meant to be played by Lady Gaga in a cameo. However, scheduling conflicts with "House of Gucci" made this impossible.

Trivia: Director Tom Holland left the film during editing because he had severe creative differences with the rest of the production team. His initial cut of the film was about two hours long and had nearly 20 more minutes of scenes with Chucky running around and interacting with other characters, which the producers felt made the doll less threatening and killed the pace. Holland refused to voluntarily cut the scenes and walked.

Trivia: Most of the crew reportedly hated director Tom Holland. Holland was allegedly rude, difficult, and had violent outbursts, including starting a physical fight with producer David Kirschner by throwing a glass coffee mug at his face over a simple disagreement about a shot. He also reportedly pulled a gun on Kirschner and fired at him, only to reveal it was loaded with blanks. The "Tommy" doll that gets killed and buried in the sequel was reportedly named after Holland as a subtle "f**k you."

Trivia: During rehearsals, William Hurt and Raul Julia actually traded roles at one point as an exercise and rehearsed all their scenes together playing each other's parts. Raul Julia said it was a fantastic exercise, as it allowed him to see and hear what his co-stars saw while acting against him.

Continuity mistake: Right after Max kisses the hand of Ryan's ditzy date, the shot cuts. In the first shot, her hand is still up, but instantly in the next shot, it's down by her side.

Continuity mistake: When Brooks is telling the embarrassing story about Max trying to give himself oral sex, at one point you see Kevin reach up and start to scratch his chin. The shot cuts, and suddenly both of his hands are down, and he's no longer scratching his chin.

Trivia: When the CEO and his assistant are walking the hallways in the beginning talking about the doll, there's an employee with curly dark hair and glasses that follows them for about 10 seconds before ducking into a room. This is series creator Don Mancini in a small cameo. Mancini wrote or co-wrote every film in the series (except the 2019 reboot), and also co-wrote and produced the 2021 "Chucky" TV show.

Trivia: Reportedly, both William Hurt and Raul Julia waived their usual upfront fees so the movie could get made because they believed in the project. The production was so tight that their usual paychecks would have eaten up too much of the budget.

Deliberate mistake: When Michelle brings up the photo of "Fake Denzel" on her phone, she says she put it into a hidden folder. Problem? She only presses on her phone once (based on the sound you hear), and has the photo up and filling the screen within about one second. Totally preposterous. Obviously, it was done that way to keep the scene moving quickly... but there's no way a single button press and a timespan of about one second is going to bring up and maximize a photo from a hidden folder on her phone.

Continuity mistake: When Michelle tells the kidnappers "We got you the list!" right before Gary shows up, she goes from facing down at the ground to facing up at the kidnappers instantly between cuts.

Continuity mistake: When Max and Brooks are having their heart-to-heart conversation on the bridge (while they are being held at gunpoint), the directions they are facing instantly changes between edits a few times. Sometimes they are facing forward... sometimes they are facing each other... etc.

Continuity mistake: After Max says "That's great... now they're gonna kill my brother," he turns to face Annie and then starts turning his again right as the shot cuts. The scene cuts to a different angle, and he is instantly facing straight forward and not moving at all.

Continuity mistake: When the group is playing Jenga to distract Gary, and Ryan snaps at Annie to make a decision, pay attention. In the first shot, Annie has her hand on her chin like she's thinking, but instantly between cuts, her hand is down on the table.

Revealing mistake: During the car chase, there are a few brief moments where you can get a look at the stunt-drivers who are driving the cars in the wideshots. They look similar to the actors... but not exactly the same.

Continuity mistake: During the car chase, there are a few moments where the background we see outside of the car windows doesn't quite match the background we see outside when we get wideshots of the cars driving. It usually matches, but there's 2 or 3 moments where it doesn't scatter throughout the scene.

Continuity mistake: When the two actors playing the "kidnappers " (who are part of the actual "game") break in and realise Ron the "FBI agent" was punched, pay attention. Between shots, the actors playing the "kidnappers" go from practically being shoulder-to-shoulder to suddenly being about 4 feet apart between cuts. (It happens when the one actor lifts off his mask).

Continuity mistake: When Ryan is explaining fight clubs, Annie starts to munch on a carrot. Right before the shot cuts, about half the carrot is sticking out of her mouth, and she's holding it with both hands. Instantly between cuts, she's eaten almost the entire carrot and is only holding it with one hand.

Trivia: The CEO is played by Peter Haskell. Before writing "Child's Play," creator Don Mancini had briefly worked on the soap opera "Search for Tomorrow" as an assistant, which Haskell co-starred in. Mancini said Haskell was one of the only cast members who was nice to him, so he recommended him for the CEO in "Child's Play 2." When he was writing "Child's Play 3," he again included the character, and gave him a memorable death as a twisted "thank you" to Haskell for being nice to him years prior.

Trivia: When Andy and De Silva arrive at the fair, there's a brief moment where a father, mother and three girls are on-camera. (The father just won one of his girls a stuffed toy.) This is a cameo by series producer David Kirschner and his family. He players the father, his wife plays the mother, and the three daughters are their actual real-life daughters. Kirschner has said he hates doing cameos, but director Jack Bender talked him into it by including his whole family.
