Trivia: Foley having a foot-fetish and forcing Nica to wear high-heel shoes for his own satisfaction was a last-minute addition to the script. As scripted, Nica would have spent the last act barefoot. However, the filming location was so cold, actress Fiona Dourif would have gotten frostbite if she was walking barefoot in the snow. The fetish/shoe angle was added purely to protect her feet. (Foley kissing her feet was an idea a crew member had, which director Don Mancini found too twisted to resist.)
