Continuity mistake: In the attic, Peter takes the Jumanji pieces out of the compartment, then closes it. Then when he takes the dice out the compartment, the compartment lid is open, not closed, and no-one touched it. (00:24:00)

Other mistake: When Prot visits the doctor's house, he thanks the wife and the camera is zoomed into his sunglasses. The reflection of his glasses shows the doctor looking at him, but the doctor is standing behind him. (00:53:40)

Continuity mistake: When Prot takes his sunglasses off for his "return" (because he would supposedly no longer need them due to the lower light levels on K-Pax), he places them on the nightstand upside-down, with the earpiece flush to the table. Two subsequent shots (including an elaborate effects shot) show the sunglasses right-side-up. (01:48:45 - 01:53:30)

Continuity mistake: During the scene when Alan is trapped in the quicksand, and the others are giving him items to hold onto, you can see behind him, to the viewers right of the blue chair in the background, a small stack of newspapers. But in later shots, such as after Peter runs out of the attic to go to the shed, and we then see Judy crawl over and grab the wooden music stand, to hit the spiders, the stack of newpapers has vanished, and a few other items change position, like the tennis racket. Continuity mistake: In the scene where Belushi and Jerry Lee (the dog) enter the warehouse, Belushi askes everyone to stop what they are doing and even has the forklift driver lift him up so he can talk to them. Once he is done talking, he tells the lift driver to bring him down. The next few shots where they show Belushi walking to his car, if you look closely, you will see that the fork lift is back up in the air, but there were no sounds and there isn't another lift to be found. Continuity mistake: Near the end of the film, as Willis is about to shoot the First Lady, we see a close up of him wearing sunglasses (part of his cop disguise) and looking through his binoculars. We then switch to the binocular view of the podium, but the shot is not given a darkened tint - it looks as if he is looking through the binoculars without the sunglasses. When we switch back to the first view of his face, however, the sunglasses are back in place. (01:36:10)

Continuity mistake: When Bruce Willis is driving his car to the abandoned warehouse to get the "gun" to commit the assassination on the first lady, the vehicle does not have a license plate... You can see that it is missing, plain as day... In the next scene, he pulls a switch, removing a once non-existent plate and replacing it with another. (00:45:50 - 00:49:15)

Factual error: On the ferry boat ride, which should have been from Canada to the United States, they were aboard a North Carolina ferry... The North Carolina flag was flapping in the wind next to the US flag. There was a closeup, and you could even see the name of the boat, which is named after a North Carolina Governor, and home ported in Moorhead City, North Carolina. (01:15:20)

Revealing mistake: Near the end of the film, when Bruce Willis is trying to escape into the Metro station, he swipes his fare card through the turnstile reader upside down - you can see the magnetic strip is visible above the slot. It still works anyway. (01:45:30)

Continuity mistake: As the FBI and Richard Gere rush to the hospital to save the First Lady they are flying in a helicopter. You see a shot of the helicopter flying over buildings then it cuts to dialogue inside then back to the landscape shot. However in the first shot the helicopter carries the number "28" on the side. When it cuts back after the dialogue it has "29" on the side of it. (01:36:35 - 01:40:00)

Continuity mistake: When Nicholas and Christine are starting to leave her apartment after Nicholas smashes the smoke detector, Christine puts on her coat, then it cuts to the CRS van. When it cuts back to her, she only has the coat on her right arm. (01:20:15)

Continuity mistake: When Nicholas waits at the CRS office he is supervised by a hidden camera. In the convex cover of the camera you see a reflection of the whole room but Nicholas, who is standing in the middle of the room, is not visible. (00:18:40)

Continuity mistake: When Pete is laying on Billy's bed talking to Gizmo, in one shot he's laying on his stomach, then in the next shot he's laying on his side. (00:23:55)

Continuity mistake: The baby's burping pad disappears and reappears from Claire's shoulder after Peyton pretends to save the baby from choking on the earring. (00:25:50)

Continuity mistake: When Billy puts the santa hat on Gizmo, in the first shot the hat is folded backwards so that the bobbled end is hanging behind the hat. In the next shot it hangs over the front of the hat. (00:19:45)

Trivia: When Billy's mom takes the picture of Gizmo at the beginning, Gizmo becomes frightened and runs over to Mr. Peltzer. When the scene is slowed, you can see the puppeteer's hand underneath while operating the Gizmo doll. Not a mistake as needs slo-mo, but worth a look. (00:19:10)

Factual error: For a movie supposedly set in late December in a Northern state, all of the deciduous trees still have leaves on them. The most obvious place to see this is in the opening scene, when Billy is trying to start his car in front of his house. (00:07:05)

Continuity mistake: In the scene at the restaurant, when the waitress runs into Michael Douglas and they both get wine all over each other, watch her shirt carefully. In one shot there are many wine stains all over. The next shot, there's not much. Then it goes back to having lots of wine stains. (00:35:40)

Visible crew/equipment: As Mrs. Deagle is walking along the street, carrying the broken snowman head, as she passes one store, clearly reflected, a little ahead of her, is a man carrying the boom mike. (00:10:00)

Continuity mistake: In Chief Beller's office when Kruger is handed Cullen's file, Kruger sits down while holding his left hand in the middle of the file. When it cuts his hand has moved out to the corner of the file. (00:11:25)
