Factual error: Senator Calvin Baynard orders police officers to arrest Joe Hallenbeck for crank calling him. In California, a person can only be arrested for a misdemeanor if caught in the act by law enforcement. At the time, harassment (unless it was a threat) by telephone was only a misdemeanor. In 1996 it became a felony due to the passing of the Telecommunications Act Of 1996 signed into law by then-president Bill Clinton. (01:36:59)

Factual error: When James Bond and Kara Milovy are on the plane and it runs out of fuel, one engine quits first. When this happens, the aircraft turns towards the stalled engine, so the pilot has to compensate by steering towards the good one, or the plane will spiral. James Bond doesn't do this, he just keeps the wheel straight and pilots normally. (01:59:17)

National Security (2003)

Factual error: When Hank and Earl commandeer the driving school car they start to look for Nash's white van. There is a sign indicating a fork in the road with PCH California 1 and Interstate 405. Those are real roads in Los Angeles but they don't intersect. (00:39:20)

National Security (2003)

Factual error: When Hank and Earl are leaving the police station after being released, there is a sign on the stairs that reads, "LA PD 26th Precinct." Los Angeles Police Department has divisions, not precincts. (00:35:35)

Factual error: When Arnie Cunningham visits Dennis Guilder in the hospital, Dennis does not have a back brace. Patients with broken backs are put in a back brace to immobilize the spine, serving the same purpose as a cast. (00:42:50)

Toy Story 3 (2010)

Video

Factual error: When Woody is looking at Andy's high school graduation picture in his room, there is a concert ticket in the upper left corner of the screen and another one just below it for a band called "Humble Beginnings" both with a date of Saturday, November 17, 2009. This date fell on a Tuesday. (00:11:15)

Factual error: The TV station in the movie is KGSC channel 10, and the building shown at the beginning for the exterior shots is in fact Santa Barbara's TV station, but it's channel 3 and its call sign is KEYT. There is no channel 10 in Santa Barbara. In fact, the only channel 10 in Southern California is in San Diego. (00:01:45 - 00:34:45)

Gremlins mistake picture

Factual error: For a movie supposedly set in late December in a Northern state, all of the deciduous trees still have leaves on them. The most obvious place to see this is in the opening scene, when Billy is trying to start his car in front of his house. (00:07:05)

Dr. Dolittle 2 (2001)

Porky's (1982)

Factual error: This movie was set in 1954, but in numerous street scenes more modern "cobrahead" streetlight fixtures are seen. That type of streetlight was first introduced in 1957.

Factual error: When the cop (Bobby) asks the woman if it's her van, she says she found it when she got home. In actuality, the police would get suspicious because she didn't report it. Someone comes home and sees someone else's vehicle parked in their driveway and neither her or the man call to report it (at the very least to have it towed)? (00:44:15)

Demolition Man (1993)

Commando (1985)

Factual error: Matrix reads coordinates N33° 13' W117° (or possibly W119°) 18'. Neither LAT or LONG has seconds; just degrees and minutes, but he says, "These coordinates are somewhere near Santa Barbara". Even if you fill in 59" for the latitude north, it's still quite a ways south of Santa Barbara. If you fill in 119° it takes you farther west out to sea: that much further from Santa Barbara. The closest island to those coordinates is San Nicolas Island, and since they did go to an island later, that must have been it. Still a far cry from Santa Barbara. The handwritten coordinates would be much easier to read on Blu Ray. (00:52:10)

American Pie 2 (2001)

Factual error: Jim looks at a postcard sent to him from Nadia and it's addressed to 7 Beach Way, Grand Harbor, MI 49456. There is no Grand Harbor in Michigan. 49456 is a real ZIP (postal) code for Spring Lake, Michigan. (01:00:40)
