Factual error: The TV station in the movie is KGSC channel 10, and the building shown at the beginning for the exterior shots is in fact Santa Barbara's TV station, but it's channel 3 and its call sign is KEYT. There is no channel 10 in Santa Barbara. In fact, the only channel 10 in Southern California is in San Diego. (00:01:45 - 00:34:45)
My Favorite Martian (1999)
1 factual error
Directed by: Donald Petrie
Starring: Jeff Daniels, Christopher Lloyd, Daryl Hannah, Elizabeth Hurley
Continuity mistake: When Martin shows Tim the alien gum, it's sealed under glass. But when Martin takes out the Venox 7 gum, the cover is gone with no time for it to have been taken off. (00:33:35)
Coleye: This is similar to the Martian incident of 1963.
Armitan: Careful, stupid. Not only is that incident classified, it never happened.
Trivia: Ray Walston, who plays Nineenert, played the original Uncle Martin in the TV show "My Favorite Martian." In the movie he says his antennae are always giving him problems and everything is in black and white and that his gum had lost its flavor in '66. The original TV show was in black and white and its final season was in 1966.
