Heavyweights (1995)

Continuity mistake: After Lars makes the children do a Buddy Check in the lake, the nurse says something like "Well I see that you have a lot of power" and then walks past him. But when the shot zooms out, she is no longer on the screen.

The Ring (2002)

Question: What would happen if the people who watched the tape didn't answer the phone call and did not have an answering machine? Or if someone were to watch the video in a room or house with no phones. Would you still be killed in 7 days?

Josh Appelbaum

Answer: Noah never answered the call, it went to voicemail and was deleted, so you don't need to answer the call to be affected.

Chosen answer: Probably. The phone calls just make those last days more terrifying, and Samara can come out from any reflective surface. I don't think it would be possible to eliminate ALL reflective surfaces, just think about it: utensils, waxed floors, eyeglasses, anything metallic, even buttons.

The Simpsons (1989)

Chosen answer: Major League Baseball is very protective of their copyrights and trademarks, and likely to take legal action if they are used without permission. I think that is what the jokes refer to.

Bad Santa (2003)

Continuity mistake: The annoying kid gets a black eye from the skater kids. In the following scene with him boxing the midget, he no longer has a black eye. And in a few scenes later, he has the black eye again.

Rat Race (2001)

Revealing mistake: After Mr. Kameechi throws up on the airplane as part of a bet, he puts the "throw up" bag down on his tray. If you look closely, you will see that the bag has absolutely nothing in it (it's flat).

Rat Race (2001)

Continuity mistake: When Whoopi and her daughter arrive at the Silver City station, they are in a bus. The bus passes by the station, and you can see that they are fairly close to it. When they get off the bus and run towards the station, they are much farther away.

Titanic (1997)

Trivia: In 1898 (14 years prior to the Titanic tragedy), Morgan Robertson wrote a novel called "Futility." This fictitious novel was about the largest ship ever built hitting an iceberg in the Atlantic ocean on a cold April night. The fictional ship (named Titan) and the real ship Titanic were similar in design and their circumstances were remarkably alike. Both ships were labeled "unsinkable." This uncanny foresight by Morgan Robertson was mentioned at the beginning of Walter Lord's book "A Night to Remember" on which the 1958 British film was based. The comparisons and similarities are stunning, right down to the findings of an investigation after the sinking which blamed "excessive speed" for the tragedy.

Minority Report (2002)

Question: The "eye doctor" tells John not to take the bandages off until the 12 hours is up or else he'll go blind. If this is so, how come he didn't go blind after removing the bandages early?

Josh Appelbaum

Chosen answer: He did go blind but only in one eye. That is why he loses his depth perception for a bit (when emptying out the bag of eyeballs he misses by a lot). He only lets them scan one eye so his other one is good. This makes sense with the foreshadowing earlier in the movie: when buying drugs from the eyeless guy in the alley area at night, he says some quote about a one eyed man.

Rat Race (2001)

Continuity mistake: When Tracy and Nick arrive at Tracy's ex-boyfriend's house in her helicopter, Shawn's (Tracy's ex-boyfriend) mini-pool falls apart and water spills everywhere. He and the girl are both submerged in water and go flying. About 10 seconds later, he runs to his car in a collared shirt and he is completely dry.

Bruce Almighty (2003)

Chosen answer: There is the tomato soup reference at the diner which is referring to God parting the Red Sea for Moses. Then at the party we see Bruce leaning on the golden calf which is another reference to the Bible's 10 Commandments where it says that "thou shalt not worship any false idols." Meaning that only the faithful must worship God and no false entities. Again at the party Bruce is coming upstairs with a pitcher of water and a glass of wine which is a reference to Jesus turning water into wine at a social function. When God and Bruce meet out on the water this is a reference to Jesus walking on water and the search engine Bruce uses on his computer Yahweh, is also another name for God.

Minority Report (2002)

Chosen answer: It is meant that all the clues to him - being framed, etc. are right in front of him, he just has to look hard enough.
