Justice League (2017)

Question: In the first scene, who was the shadowy man on the roof who asks Batman if this is happening because Superman died? Is it the burglar he was fighting with? If so, why is he chatting with a man he just tried to shoot?

Brian Katcher

Answer: Yes, he is the burglar who was just fighting with Batman. He is chatting because meeting a parademon face to face has caused him to realise that the world is seriously in trouble. He is genuinely curious whether or not Batman can stop this threat.

Question: When this movie was filmed, had George Lucas already decided that Luke and Leia would be brother and sister? If so, has he commented on the scene with their kiss?

Answer: It is unknown whether or not Lucas planned for Luke and Leia to be brother and sister when Empire Strikes Back was filmed. Early drafts of the screenplay make it clear that not only are Luke and Leia not brother and sister, but Darth Vader is not Luke's father. Luke does have a sister in these drafts but it isn't Leia, she is an unseen character named Nillith. At some point, obviously the script was changed to make Vader Luke's father and references to Luke's sister were completely removed. George Lucas has never commented on the kiss.

The Dark Tower (2017)

Question: Why doesn't the teacher at Jake's school punish the bully for teasing Jake?

Answer: All the bully really did was take the book out of Jake's hand and Jake violently assaulted him in retaliation. Jake's action was much worse. Also, we are never actually shown what punishment the bully received, he very well could have been punished in some way that was never mentioned.

The Flash (1990)

Show generally

Question: I've only seen a few episodes so some info would be helpful. After running very fast and for a long period of time, why does the Flash suddenly become very weak?

Answer: The Flash burns energy the same way a normal human does, just at an extremely high tolerance. His metabolism is incredibly high and he must constantly eat to maintain his energy levels. If he runs at high speed for a long period of time he will burn his stored energy and become very weak.

Zootopia (2016)

Question: If Bellwether's plan was to make predators go savage, why did she use the serum on Mr. Otterton instead of using it on Manchas who was a predator?

Answer: Otters are carnivorous and are therefore predators. They mostly prey on fish but also eat other aquatic animals such as frogs, crayfish, and crabs.

BaconIsMyBFF

Manchas is a bigger and stronger predator, though, wouldn't it have helped Bellwether to inject him instead?

Her plan is to expose predators in general as being inherently violent. It actually helps her plan more to show smaller, meek animals like Mr. Otterton going berserk.

X-Men 3 (2006)

Answer: The implication is that the cure was ineffective. Magneto has full control of his powers by the time we see him in the mid-credits scene of "The Wolverine." Rogue, who also received the cure in this film, has her powers back in the extended edition of "X-Men: Days of Future Past," which takes place in the same timeline as this film up until the very end of it.

Phaneron

Answer: The cure is only temporary. The Rogue Cut of X-Men: Days of Future Past makes this explicitly clear as Rogue has also regained her powers after taking the cure.

The Bodyguard (1992)

Question: Why did Nicki want Rachel dead?

Answer: While she did it high on drugs I don't think she actually regretted her actions that much. She had months to track down this Armando and cancel the hit. Also she 'paid him in full, and then some' so like surely she wound't have taken the kinda cash the first time she went to find him and ask him to do it.You don't have a sudden fit of jealousy while high with loads of money that just happens to be ready to go. Must have been two separate meetings. She was jealous and hateful deep down inside and it came out while she was high and then once it started she was didn't stop it.

She didn't want to stop it until the young boy Fletcher was almost killed in the boat that the guy the Hitman booby trapped she just didn't want the boy hurt but she always wanted her sister to be done with.

Answer: She admits that while high on drugs she had a fit of jealousy and hired an assassin to kill her sister.

Question: Why didn't Lokar have his men burn the bodies if he wanted to avoid being exposed?

Answer: Burning large piles of bodies is time consuming, laborious, and may actually draw more attention than simply leaving them in mass graves.

BaconIsMyBFF

Besides, it's difficult to destroy a body, even by burning it.

Halloween (1978)

Question: Where did all of the kids' parents go that required babysitters for the entire night? Seems like a small town such as Haddonfield would not have many options.

Answer: There are only two families that hire babysitters in the film, the Doyle and Wallace families. Where they went is never explained, but it could be potentially anywhere. They could have gone on a trip out of town for the night, they don't have to be in Haddonfield.

BaconIsMyBFF

Where did it state this was all night? It could have been a few hours. Remember that in the next one, it is still the same night and stays night through the entire movie.

Answer: Annual Halloween party as evidenced in the following instalment. Dr Mixtner was drunk and was at a party. The Strodes were also at a party, the same one if I recall correctly as the doctor.

Alan Keddie

Also we only SEE two families have babysitters. Other families could have had babysitters. We just don't see this. (I'm not sure if this adds anything additionally to the question asked, tho).

Alan Keddie

And why did Laurie's parents not come to the hospital? Did they not know she was there, even after the news release about the attack?

Radio (2003)

Question: Why were John and some of the other football players jealous of Radio? Why did they hate him in the first place?

Answer: The players (and their fathers) were jealous of Radio because Coach Jones began spending a lot of time with him. The players believed Coach Jones was neglecting them. The players immediately disliked Radio from the start for two reasons: his refusal to return the lost ball in the beginning irritated them and his mental disability was a source of ridicule.

Fast Five (2011)

Question: At the end on the bridge when Dom is about to be shot, Brian appears as if out of thin air, behind Dom, car and all, gun in hand, and shoots the bad guy who had to have been staring right at him for like a good minute while Brian drove to Dom, parked the car, got out and aimed his gun. What am I missing?

Stace Mann

Answer: After all the gun fire, explosions and flipped in a car however many times, I'm sure you'd be lucky if you'd even hear ringing and it doesn't really show when Brian comes back. He may have been working his way towards them.

Answer: You aren't missing anything. That's pretty much exactly what happens. Zizi is determined to kill Dom at this point and he isn't paying attention to anything else around him. He never even notices Brian until it's too late.

Game of Thrones (2011)

Season 7 generally

Question: Just what size relationship would the dragon eggs be compared to the adults? In season one, we see the eggs as being roughly the size of eggplants or a child's football, at the start of Season 7, the dragons thereof have grown to 747 (whale?) size. Just how big would the laying mother have been? Even if she reproduced in the equivalent of a teenage pregnancy, the size of the dragons in past seasons, her offspring would have been dust motes compared to her. If Season 7 represents them fully-grown (and think about it if they are not!), the dragon's biological mother would have been truly gargantuan compared to her offspring.

dizzyd

Answer: In the universe shown in this series, dragons can technically grow indefinitely. They continue to grow throughout their lives. They will stop growing, however if they live in captivity in a confined space. There is therefore no standard size for an adult dragon.

BaconIsMyBFF

Answer: The dragon of Aegon the Conqueror, the first king of the Seven Kingdom Balerion the Black Dread was so massive it could attack the megacastle of Harrenhal by itself. Free dragons not locked up in confinement can grow to whatever length it can. This is why Drogon is larger than his brothers Viseriyon and Rheagal.
