Continuity mistake: After the sand worm spits out BB-8, he has lots of blue slime on various parts of his mechanical body and eye. Moments later, when Rey catches him, the amount of slime on his eye is less and not as thick; several spots of blue slime have moved around or vanished, and some are different sizes. (00:01:58)

Continuity mistake: When the sand worm spits out BB-8 and launches Rey's staff, both BB-8 and the staff go flying towards the downed AT-AT walker. They start to separate in the air, with BB-8 flying further and faster than Rey's staff. Yet in the next shot, suddenly they are together in the air again. (00:01:50)

The bottle is turned so the label is partially facing Ed but angled between him and Juliana. It moves around in a few shots and also at some points is turned so the label is nearly fully facing Ed. Continuity mistake: Rey throws her staff at the sand worm's location to free BB-8. When she does, her robe has a large loop of cloth hanging down behind her leg. Then, in the next shot after she throws the staff, suddenly that extra cloth loop is missing. (00:01:47)

With that first shot showing a second trail in the sand, BB-8 is leaving next to the trail he made already. Two trails. Then, when the sand worm slams down to spit Rey's staff back at her, that shot shows BB-8 and her still running the direction they came from, but now there's only one trail behind BB-8, the new one he's leaving now. Continuity mistake: In the kitchen after Petoria is cut off from the world, the fridge is shown with two notes on the freezer door next to the handle with scribbled writing on them. After Stewie takes a dump in his newspaper diaper, it cuts to a different closer angle, and now the writing on the notes has vanished. Usually in animation, details being lost in a further out shot is normal; however, this is details lost in a closer angle. (00:17:42)
