The Jackal (1997)

Corrected entry: As the Jackal is checking out the tripod with the gun mounted on top, we see that the camera on top still has its lens cap on, but when we flick to the next angle that cap is missing. (00:55:30)

Scrappy

Correction: Those shots are not back to back. There is a 9 second gap between him taking the cover off the gun while it shows Lemont talking about it, before it shows the next angle of the gun. During this time you can hear the Jackal still moving some fabric around before he reaches down for ammo. There was about 2-3 seconds worth of time there after we see the lens cover that he could have slipped it off while Lemont was talking.

Double Impact (1991)

Corrected entry: During the scene in which we see Chad and Alex board the ship pretending to be captor and captive, we see the guard at the top of the ramp grab Alex and push him against the wall. From the shot from behind we see that the guard has a hold of Alex by the collar on his t-shirt, and then in a shot from Alex's point of view, the guard is standing with his arms folded and when scene goes back to first angle the guard is still holding him by the t-shirt.

Scrappy

Correction: I just re-viewed the scene, they are two separate guards. The view from Chad is of Alex and the second guard with his arms crossed. The first guard still has him pinned against the tank.

Corrected entry: When Harold and Kumar go to the Burger Shack drivethru, the employee goes nuts shouting about burning the place down. As he pulls over the breadrack his hat falls of his head. We then see him make his way back over toward the window and then fall. As he gets back up he is again wearing his hat which should still be several feet behind him.

Scrappy

Correction: During his rampage he could have kicked his hat around a bit to where he falls and put it on before he got back up.

Porky's (1982)

Corrected entry: At the end of the film we see Sheriff Wallace shoot the hood ornament from Porky's car. A moment later we see Porky and his gang pushing the car away and the hood ornament is back on.

Scrappy

Correction: The hood ornament is only half blown off. The ornament is still broken when they push the car away.

Band of Brothers (2001)

Currahee - S1-E1

Corrected entry: At the very start of this episode we see the soldiers watching the film and Winters leaving, walking past the projector just as the actors in the film are talking about "serving the cause". In the same scene from the opposite angle, toward the end of this episode, we see Bill Guarnere reading a letter just as the actors are talk about the same thing, however Winters is missing from this shot.

Scrappy

Correction: Winters is not missing from the scene, as Guarnere is reading the letter you can see the light from the film projector become interrupted, that is Winters getting up and walking out of the tent.

Day of Days - S1-E2

Corrected entry: In this episode we see the men attacking a gun battery through the connecting trenches. Good research by the programme-makers - this is a perfect textbook manouvre, and it is still used today.

Scrappy

Correction: Its a textbook maneuver because of how well it was done by Easy Company, and this is mentioned in the episode itself, hence it isn't trivia.

Lady Heather's Box - S3-E15

Corrected entry: In the scene where Lindsay is being questioned she says that the car driver got out of the car, then Eddie (Lindsay's father and Catherine's Ex) fell out of the car and into the water. This is not possible. The passenger side door was closed and as the car was on an angle and wedged against the ground and unable to open. It is not possible that he fell upwards and out of the driver side door.

Scrappy

Correction: Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable - a case can rarely be tried on that alone. In this case, the testimony is even more unreliable, as it comes from a child who was in grave danger at the time and was easily confused. The CSIs would not take what she said as the exact truth, but rather a starting point in the absence of anything else.

Blackball (2003)

Corrected entry: In the scene in which Ray Speight is instructing Majorie during her driving test, we see him counting down to when he is going to call for an emergency stop. Actual instructors are not allowed to do a count down. They first tell the driver that they will be performing the emergency stop along a stretch of road, and then call it by placing their hand on the dashboard and calling out "STOP".

Scrappy

Correction: We are never told if she is sitting her driving test. They are both members of the bowling club and for all we know he could be helping her out.

Eurotrip (2004)

Corrected entry: When Scotty tries to send Mike an E-mail after she has blocked him, he gets a message saying that he has been blocked. This would not happen as E-mails do not get returned from a blocked address, nor is the sender notified that he/she has been blocked.

Scrappy

Correction: It depends on the email server. If sending an email from my company website, any blocked mail is returned, however, it does not usually give a reason. The reason I know this is that while a sent an email to a friend, I received the letter back. After I called her, she unblocked the email address, then the letter went through without error.

Hard Target (1993)

Corrected entry: When Mr Van Cleef comes to kill the mortician we see him hold the gun up to the spy hole int he door covering it. As the mortician looks through the spyhole, you can see Mr Van Cleef holding the gun. However as he was blocking the spyhole with the gun there would have been no light shining through. The mortician should have not been able to see anything at all.

Scrappy

Correction: If you watch the film again, you will see that Mr Van Cleef raises the gun to the keyhole seconds after the mortician puts his eye to it. That would explain why there is light coming through it.

The 51st State (2001)

Corrected entry: When Dakota takes Elmo to the roof of the building it is right after the police did a drug raid on the club below. While they are on the roof we hear no police sirens, no flashing lights and see no police cars. When the police perform a raid they surround all of the building, have their lights flashing, and are often accompanied by a police helicopter which will hover above the scene to point out fleeing suspects.

Scrappy

Correction: Not necessarily. There have been lots of drug raids done on clubs, motorcycle gang clubhouses, and grow operations done around here, with absolutley NO sirens, lights or commotion. It depends on the jurisdiction, and whether stealth is preferred over a swift, noisy approach. You can often collar more suspects by infiltrating the building, than letting you presence be known.

Goal! (2005)

Corrected entry: In the movie we see the Newcastle team fly to London for Santiago's first game. Firstly Newcastle, nor any other English club fly to away games. They have a coach. Secondly, there are no flights from Newcastle to London at Newcastle or Teeside airport.

Scrappy

Correction: Incorrect. This has been proved by a recent Premier Leauge game between Wigan and Arsenal at the JJB Stadium. After the game I can't remember which player, but in the post match interview the player mentioned how dissapointed the team are going to be on the flight back home.

The Goonies (1985)

Corrected entry: During the diner scene, in which Chunk tells Mikey that this is not the sort of place you want to go to, in the bathroom we see a camera man moving from our right to left, in the mirror behind them.

Scrappy

Correction: Mikey never goes to the bathroom at the diner. He tells her he has to go, and she tells him where it is. He then goes downstairs, and straight to the room where they are keeping Sloth chained up. Then Josh comes and takes him out of the restaurant. Having said this, I can't find this camera person anywhere.

Jazetopher

I think Scrappy is referring to one of the Fratelli's carrying out the body. Chunk notices it over his shoulder which causes him to say "Dead things, Mikey..."

Corrected entry: The timing on the doorbell message at Ferris' house changes between the first time and the second time it is heard.

Scrappy

Correction: In order for the Doorbell Tape to work, he would have recorded the same message clips over and over again on the same tape, as no rewind feature would be available without someone there to rewind it manually. Since he recorded it more than once on the same tape, the next series of clips you hear should differ slightly as we hear, due in part to the fact that it's not the same clip as heard earlier. As such, continuity is not a factor, and no mistake is made.

Jazetopher

Corrected entry: Platform Nine and Three Quarters is supposed to be a secret platform that only magical people can access. However when Harry, Ron and Hermione have boarded the train and are looking for a cabin we can see out of the window a GNER (Great North-Eastern Railway) train visible on the next platform. The train is most noticeable for its blue colour with a single red stripe running the length of the train.

Scrappy

Correction: The Hogwarts Express is very much the same as the Knight Bus that Harry takes to the Leaky Cauldron, in the sense that muggles cannot see it, even when in the same vicinity as other cars. The same principle applies for the train sitting on the platform at the station next to the real trains.

Jazetopher

Corrected entry: When the Dementors are boarding the train, everything starts to go cold, so much so that the water on the windows starts to freeze, and even more noticeably the water in the bottle completely freezes. Once the Dementors have gone, the windows are completely free from ice and the water in the bottle has melted again. This is not possible in the short space of time that passed.

Scrappy

Correction: Neither water nor windows can freeze that fast either. Dementors are magic creatures, and have magical effects on their surroundings.

Footloose (1984)

Corrected entry: As Ren is dancing through the factory we see him take off his sweater and dump it on the ground. Later once he comes across Ariel back at his car we see him go and pick up his sweater from a nearby train carriage which is not near where he left it.

Scrappy

Correction: The dancing scene in the warehouse is a montage of the entire time he was there, thus giving him, or even Ariel, who was watching him, time to move it somewhere else.

Jazetopher

Corrected entry: The entire Warg attack sequence does not feature in the books written by Tolkien. The sequence was entirely thought up by Peter Jackson while on location in New Zealand.

Scrappy

Correction: It's actually in the books, but in "the Fellowship of the Ring". The Fellowship is attacked by the Wargs, Peter Jackson just moved it to film two.

The Simpsons (1989)

Season 4 generally

Corrected entry: On the series 4 DVD box set there is a message from Matt Groening. In the message he is talking about some of the episodes, and refers to "Ralph Wiggum's immortal 'Choo-Choo-Choose Me' valentine to Lisa." In actually, it was a valentine from Lisa to Ralph, and the card read "I Choo-Choo-Choose You."

Scrappy

Correction: The card does say that but Matt Groening is referring to Ralph's first words upon receiving the card which are "You choo choo choose me?"

The Bill (1984)

Correction: Not necessarily - it could be referring to March 2003.
