Continuity mistake: In the scene just after the senator calls the cops, you see XXX round a corner in the Corvette, look closely and you will see both mirrors still intact, but in the next scene, they are gone again. (00:06:44)
Visible crew/equipment: Just after XXX says "There's the bridge" and points, you can see the boom mike on top of the frame. (01:46:20)
Visible crew/equipment: Watch Xander's face as he stands on his car before he jumps off the bridge at the beginning - it can be seen that it is the stunt double and not Xander.
Visible crew/equipment: When Xander is jumping from the plane with the snowboard attached to his feet he does some aerial moves. When he is finished and about to pull his parachute cord you get a shot from up above. On the ground you can see the shadow of the helicopter that is there to film the aerial shots of the scene.
Revealing mistake: When the AHAB launched its missile in the underground lab, it shows a shot of one of the scientists laying on the ground dead. You can see him breathing. (01:16:50)
Factual error: When Xander is snowboarding down the mountain, trying to outrun the avalanche, he is also at one point being chased by the gang on snowmobiles. According to the USSA World Speed Trials at Boonville, NY, the top clocked speed for a Ski-Doo down hill was 127.3mph, and in Marienville, PA, the fastest time for a Ski-Doo on a straight half-mile oval track was 87.0mph. However, the fastest recorded skiing speed was at The Super G Alpine Ski Competition, which was 85mph (men). Therefore, it would have been impossible for Xander to outrun an avalanche, practically with ease, yet have it catch up to the gang on snowmobiles in minutes, even seconds.
Continuity mistake: When XXX first gets on top of the AHAB submarine, he lands on it with a smash and you can clearly see his arm hitting the bubble covering the harddrive, which then is very loose and even opens up for a few centimeters. Next shot we see XXX opening up the bubble by releasing some security handles.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie where Xander's tanning at Bora Bora, notice that his tattoos are brighter. They have a just re-applied look.
Plot hole: When Xander is explaining how he knew the situation in the diner was a set up he mentions the Wall Street guy reading the financial times on a Sunday when the markets are closed. However Xander just woke up in a diner from a drug induced sleep with no idea how long he had been knocked out, how would he know it was Sunday?
Plot hole: Via his bondesque band-aids, Vin Diesel disposes of all the bad guys' vehicles - except the one next to the boss and Yelena (very conveniently or he would have killed his main villain and his girlfriend). He races super-fast to his hideout with his super-fast bike, he is in SUCH a rush that he does not even park the bike but just jumps off it and lets it crash into a dumpster. In his room he has a 45 second conversation with Sova. Somehow Asia Argento in less than a minute not only caught up with him, who had already a huge head start and she was never seen even beginning any pursuit, but she also contacted 'the Ivans', from a separate organization, shows up with them and she was there early enough to even infer that XXX was in trouble, so she must have been even quicker than that to eavesdrop. (01:20:00)
Plot hole: You are locked in a room. On one end of the room, a thick vault door of solid steel. On the other end, a security glass double door with your evil boss cackling maniacally, the remote for the deadly chemical bomb in his hand. You have automatic weapons at your disposal. Which door are you gonna shoot in your desperate attempt to save your skin? Apparently, ALL the literal rocket scientists in this movie decided that shooting at some inches of stainless steel is a better option than trying and dent a couple mm of plexiglass, which would have stopped their traitorous employer from releasing the gas or killed him too. No human being would be this stupid. (01:15:15)
Factual error: When Xander uses the x-ray binoculars, it is impossible for that to work. First it would have to have every single bit of each layer of what he is looking at pre-programmed in it, or it would have to determine what to see through and what to be able to see. (00:44:45)
Continuity mistake: After the Prague cop shoots at Vin Diesel and Yorgi, when they are in the garage, they chase him in the GTO. You see Diesel skid the car to a stop to shoot the cop, but when the camera pulls away, you see the car skid another couple of inches after it had clearly stopped before. (00:49:35)
Audio problem: In the mountain battle scene when Xander is in the airplane, he says: "Get me along that tower." His lips don't match with what he says, indicating this line was added during post-production.
Factual error: In the beginning of the movie where Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) takes the senator's automatic transmission Corvette, he hops in and immediately pulls the shifter as far back as it will go. The shift pattern goes P R N D 3 2 1. If you pull the shifter as far back as it will go you would be in first gear going forward, but he lit up the tires in reverse. It's definitely an automatic - in slow motion you can see there are only two pedals. (00:06:15)
Continuity mistake: During the test when they infiltrate the drug lord's camp and X escapes. In one scene before he leaves the barn/building to go outside and get the bike you see him get up and lean against the door twice. Once to get up and look outside to see one of the copters blow up a truck then it cuts to a reverse angle and you see him get up again to lean against the door.
Factual error: When X uses the tray to "skateboard" down on the rails of the stairs, how could that tray possibly take his weight? The tray would have either bent in half or snapped in half and would have had X fall crotch first onto the railing.
