Charlie's Angels picture

Revealing mistake: When the Angels are fighting the "Creepy Thin Man," right before Drew Barrymore lifts up Lucy Liu to spin her around and kick the thin man, to get Lucy's attention, Drew hollers out "Lucy!" even though Lucy Liu's character's name is "Alex."

Mission: Impossible 2 picture
Mission: Impossible 2 mistake picture

Continuity mistake: The tyres on the crotch rocket motorcycles they were riding kept changing from knobbly tyres to road slicks, back and forth depending on what terrain they were on. Easiest to see when Ethan skids on the road to avoid the white van - clear shot of slick tyres - then about 30 seconds later they're on the dirt, he skids into the old car and you can easily see that he's got off-road tyres front and back.

Gone in 60 Seconds picture

Continuity mistake: During the scene where Memphis (Nic Cage) is driving the lovely Shelby GT500 Mustang, and he knocks off the mirror, the car stalls as if it's reacting to the damage. He then leans down and tries to start the car by simply turning the ignition like he has a key, but when he first gets in the car and starts it, he uses 2 thin pieces of metal and he had to use both hands.

New this month Suggested correction: After the lock is picked you only need the one larger piece of metal to turn the ignition to the start position. That's why it took 2 hands to steal the car, but only one to restart it.

Meet the Parents picture

Miss Congeniality picture

Revealing mistake: Gracie hugs the Russian waitress in order to have a better view of the disc hand-off appear on the monitor. As she raises her left hand that holds the book/camera lens, we see that the digital feed that appears on the monitor stays steady and level, even though she is raising the book/camera lens higher and closer to her face. Obviously the feed that we see on the monitor is not taken from the book/camera lens.

Super Grover
Hollow Man picture

Factual error: The serum is transported by blood. Hair has no blood traveling to it, only the root. So, unless Bacon shaved his body clean, his hair wouldn't have become invisible, as wouldn't all of the fur on the gorilla.

Bring it On picture

Plot hole: Check out the final routine at the end of the movie for the Clovers. Watching carefully, approximately 20 seconds into the routine you will see two girls on the left hand side running face to face into each other. If this had been a proper competition they would have lost because it was a major error in the routine.

Battlefield Earth picture

Factual error: During the revolt, Carlo (Kim Coates) is attacked by several Psychlo gunships on the dome's roof. He then uses a Carl Gustav recoilless rifle to destroy one of them. Strangely, the missile he fires is heat seeking, evidenced by it missing the target and arcing back around to strike the gunship from behind. Carl Gustavs are not designed to fire heat seeking missiles, as they lack the tracking systems necessary to do so, since the weapon is an anti-tank rifle in real life.

Dom
Little Nicky picture

But towards the end, when the devil is reduced to no more than a mouth and 2 arms, he is able to have a conversation with his demons about what's going on and hear them perfectly.

The Cell picture

Plot hole: Peter goes into Carl's mind to save Catherine. When he's in there he sees the tank with the water nymph. On the tank are strange symbols which provide the FBI with the clue needed to find the latest victim. Makes sense so far. But, go back to the scene just after the FBI have captured the comatose killer and are looking in his basement. The FBI are looking at the contraption that the killer uses to suspend himself over the victim. On the contraption is the same symbol seen later on the water nymph's tank. Why didn't the FBI follow up the symbol then?

State and Main picture

Continuity mistake: William H. Macy makes dinner plans with the Mayor and writes "Dinner with the Mayor" on the dry erase board in his office. He writes "Dinner w/ the Mayor" in the "Tuesday" slot. Then an intern comes in and accidentally wipes the appointment off the board with her shirt. Macy yells at her and tells her to rewrite the appointment on the board. The whole premise of the joke and pretty big part of the movie is that the intern rewrites the appointment in the wrong day, thereby causing the Hollywood people to miss dinner, enrage the Mayor and his wife and have the town turn on them. When the girl walks away however, the appointment is clearly rewritten in the correct day (Tuesday). This ruins the whole misunderstanding because although the appointment is in the wrong day later in the movie, at the moment the joke is supposed to be set in motion, there is no mistake.

Pokemon 3: The Movie picture

Factual error: In "Pikachu and Pichu," when Pikachu and the Pichu brothers come to the big play structure thing, there are a bunch of Pokemon around, including a red-and-white, ball-shaped Pokemon called Voltorb. The dubbers for the English version made a very noticeable error here: instead of Voltorb saying "Voltorb," (almost all Pokemon say parts of their names when they speak) it says "Electrode," which is the name of a similar-looking, but different Pokemon. The two are both red and white, but the difference is that Voltorb has eyes on the red part of its body, while Electrode has eyes on the white part of its body.

In the wide shot when we see all of them playing we see that Davi's Digimon is in his "rookie" form, Veemon. When they show a closeup of him and Davis together, Veemon is now in his "in training" form DemiVeemon. Then they show them all playing again and he is now Veemon again.

The 6th Day picture

Continuity mistake: In the part where they're looking in the memories of the clone of Adam. They see two Adams but on the screen that's on the right it only shows one.

xx:xx:xx

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: The 4 monitors had different angles of the memories. They weren't the same image over all 4 monitors, so there's no mistake for one monitor not showing both Adams, especially since it took Drucker time to realise what was shown.

Bishop73
Shanghai Noon picture

Factual error: The evil man request 100,000 pieces of gold for ransom. Each gold piece looks to be about 10 ounces, and 100,000 of those would make the entire thing of gold weigh about or over 3 tons and 2 guys are carrying it around in a little chest throughout the movie.
