Continuity mistake: In the scene where Sophie finds the cross key behind the painting, her hand is holding the painting while the key falls, but in the next shot, her hand isn't touching the painting at all.
Continuity mistake: At the orgy a man walks through a door with a naked woman on each arm, then the camera cuts so that Tom Cruise is in the shot with the man and two women approaching him. In this shot one of the women is a different woman from before.
Continuity mistake: When Cage's character offers the money for his brother and the brother is in the car about to get crushed, the back window gets broken out twice. (00:15:55)
Continuity mistake: During the police chase, the hub caps on Saul's police car keep appearing and disappearing throughout the whole chase.
Continuity mistake: When Jennifer Tilly is in bed wearing some kind of skimpy pink thing, only one strap is always on her shoulder, but between shots it changes from left, to the right, back to the left, repeatedly. Every two or three shots.
Continuity mistake: When Chris Rock and Anthony Hopkins are being chased through the woods, they crash into a tree near the end of the chase. When it shows the front of the Mercedes Benz crashing, the licence plate is torn from the car. Then in the next shot, the plate is simply dented, but still attached to the car.
Continuity mistake: Her bruise from being shot in the vest appears and disappears and reappears, also moves from her left to her right side.
Continuity mistake: At the start of the film, the dog is seen going from room to room looking for food. Just before he goes into Dana's room, someone can be seen through the crack in the door, moving from left to right.
Continuity mistake: When the firefighters go to the house of the first backdraft "victim" you see that he has gone through the windshield of his car. But when we saw him opening his front door and getting hurled away from the house he didn't land anyway near the car.
Continuity mistake: When Sonny is shot at the toll booth the front windshield is torn apart by bullets yet when the bodyguards arrive thirty seconds later, the windshield is intact. (01:53:20)
Continuity mistake: James takes off his tie to cover the cut on Kristen's hand, but when they run outside to escape in the car James is wearing his tie again, then after the failed escape they run back inside the house and James tie is missing. In another scene Kristen goes into the woods to look for James and falls into a ditch, then as she climbs out the tie is missing from her hand, but the next scene it's back in place.
Continuity mistake: When they are in the car with heavy rain, you can see the pedestrians are NOT using umbrellas or wearing raincoats. It’s also raining far harder on the left of the car than the right. In addition, Somerset is turning the wheel to the right, and yet they’re driving in a straight line. (00:12:10)
Continuity mistake: The three Marine helicopters leaving the carrier are three UH1N Marine model helicopters. When they arrive in Bosnia to rescue the downed Navy pilot the same helicopters become two Bell model 205C and a Bell 412. When landing back on the carrier with the rescued pilot, they are again N models. (01:26:50)
Continuity mistake: There's a scene where Ellie sleeps with Palmer, then gets up quickly to go to the lab. In her haste, she departs whipping on a shirt with no bra. If she had a bra inside that tight T-shirt the contours of the cups and straps would be visible and we would see her fitting and fastening it, instead she steps outside where suddenly it appears she is now wearing a bra.
Continuity mistake: In the scene after the prison break, we see Richards, Weiss and Laughlin walking through the city. On the big television screen there is a commercial for The Running Man game show. The footage they feature on the commercial is footage from the episode Richards is in. How could they show footage from that episode if it has not taken place yet?
Continuity mistake: At the beginning, before Karla's robbery of the jewelry store, when the limo turns the corner the front license plate reads "Dent". However, when the limo parks in front of Adriano's its front license plate reads "77". (00:00:25)
Continuity mistake: When John is driving to work and he hears Anna on the radio, he swerves to avoid a car. From inside the car you can see that there are no cars in the rear window, yet when the shot changes to an outside shot, there are 3 cars. (00:33:35)
Continuity mistake: When Sam and Mikaela handcuff all the agents, Sam is wearing a black short-sleeved tee shirt atop a blue long-sleeved tee, before putting on the hoodie. We see the dark tee sticking out when he and Mikaela climb onto Prime. Then moments later, Sam is wearing ONLY a long white short-sleeved (we see it has short sleeves when Bumblebee gives him the All Spark later, through a tear in the hoodie sleeve) tee shirt under his hoodie, when he falls from Prime, when he witnesses Bumblebee's capture and thereafter. (Earlier, after he knocks Mikaela off the moped, from that point on there is a very large hole at the back of his blue and black tees, where we see his skin under the jagged material edges, with no white material seen anywhere. We also see no sign of a long white undershirt at any time when Sam's dark tees go up, during his many action shots.)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Watson and Adler are laying out the map, they place two objects on the map to hold it down. In the very next clip where it shows Holmes talking, you see Watson and Adler placing those same objects on the map.
Continuity mistake: When Eddie Murphy is getting the bananas from the waiter in the hotel, the bananas he gets are straight. When he places the bananas in the tailpipe of the detectives' car, they are curved.
Suggested correction: Look again, the broken windows you are seeing are from the side windows, the windscreen was shot out entirely.
