Child's Play picture

Deliberate mistake: In the handyman's room, we see he has cameras secretly set up in the various apartments to spy on neighbors. But the placement of the camera spying on Mrs. Norris' dining room is kind-of ridiculous. It appears to be sitting out in the open on her dining room table. Sure, the handyman is a pervert, but there's no way he could get a camera onto such a spot without it being totally obvious.

Hellboy Animated: Sword of Storms picture

Deliberate mistake: When Hellboy is attacked by the spider-lady, as the spiders begin to descend on him to steal the sword, you can easily tell that some of the shots of the spiders coming down are repeated 2 or even 3 times, and simply flopped horizontally to appear different.

Hellboy Animated: Blood and Iron picture

Deliberate mistake: After Prof. Broom finally defeats the vampire countess near the end of the movie, many of her ghostly victims appear around the room. And, if you look closely, you can see that many of them look exactly like one another, revealing that the animators simply would repeat the same images over and over onscreen, to make the crowd bigger. (Confirmed in DVD commentary).

Army of Darkness picture

Deliberate mistake: Ash's car breaks out into the courtyard and the whirling, windmill thing batters the Deadites aside. We see the carnage a couple of times filmed from different angles, one Deadite, planted, legs apart, gets battered twice and the guys who come in from the left and are quickly jerked off screen are shown again seconds later.

Psycho picture

Deliberate mistake: When the CA. trooper is at the front of her car, the Arizona license plate is shown. In 1989, Arizona began issuing a single license plate and that plate is always on the back of the vehicle. This is deliberate, as the remake follows the original movie shot by shot, and there the trooper checks the front license plate.

Deliberate mistake: At the beginning, Alice turns on the tea kettle and it starts whistling less than a half a minute after it's turned on. It'd take alot longer. (00:10:00)

The Mummy picture

Deliberate mistake: The shot of Ardeth and his companions watching Rick leave Hamunuptra at the start of the film is reused again when Rick, Evie, Jonathan and the Warden re-enter Hamunuptra, although the reused shot has a blue filter over it. Ardeth even says exactly the same line he says in the original shot, but it is subtitled differently.

Gremlins 2: The New Batch picture

Deliberate mistake: The elevator operated by gremlins starts ascending at around 5 stories per second, based on the floor readings. Yet when the elevator suddenly stops dead, Kate does not fly into the air caused by the huge speed change. (00:50:05)

Deliberate mistake: When Leota is in the front seat of the automobile, the air bag is still full. Air bags will deploy and then immediately deflate to prevent people (or women in crystal balls) from being trapped. (01:10:45)

May picture

Deliberate mistake: There is blood all over the back of the couch that's supposed to be from the neck cutting, however there is not a trace of blood on May's dress or anywhere else but her hands. (01:13:30)

The Monster Squad picture

Deliberate mistake: When the vortex is summoned to get rid of the monsters, other things get sucked into it. Cars, trees, light poles, other police officers. However other things or people who are more accessible do not get sucked in. For example, Phoebe hiding behind a bench, the bench itself, Phoebe's mother and a few cops hiding behind a cop car, etc.

Underworld: Evolution picture

Deliberate mistake: When Selene and Michael are driving a truck, chased by Marcus, at one point in the chase Marcus flies directly ahead of the truck and stays upright in the air with wings outstretched, facing the truck. Given that the truck is travelling at high speed and Marcus is using wings for flying, it is just not possible. It can't be attributed to Marcus' inertia - he stays in front of the truck for a couple of seconds, long enough to lose any speed advantage he had before.

Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 picture

Deliberate mistake: In chapter 15 "Bad Service" as Kim drives away and almost hits the kids which are supposed to represent the "Burkittsville 7", count them. There are three girls and four boys. Rustin Parr kidnapped 8 kids; 4 boys and 4 girls. Kyle Brody survived so the Burkittsville 7 should be 4 girls and 3 boys.

Resident Evil picture Resident Evil mistake picture

Deliberate mistake: When the woman is attempting to escape from the elevator, it dislodges and falls down, so then the actress is facing the ground...but when her arm hits the floor, the floor itself bends. If you watch the DVD with the commentary on, the director points out that it was a break away floor in case the actress' head accidentally snapped forward, to avoid any injury. (00:08:00)

Scream picture

Deliberate mistake: When Sidney is typing the message to the police, you can see that there are red lights flashing, which must mean the police are there, 5 seconds after she types. Obviously deliberately done for the humor. (00:29:30 - 00:30:25)

Suggested correction: Contrary to what the entry says, I don't see police lights flashing as she types, nor when she talks to Billy. I do agree that still it's barely a minute before the police arrive in full force on the scene and it's pretty ridiculous (although I am not sure it's deliberate humour).

Sammo

There's a time skip between Sidney encountering Dewey at the front door and Billy being arrested. It's plausible Tatum had sent Dewey to check on Sidney knowing she was going to be late, and so he arrived before the rest of the authorities. Billy did not chase after Sidney and likely reacted calmly to Dewey to look as innocent as he could, he wouldn't necessarily have been arrested right away.

TonyPH

I have to disagree; you see Dewey's car and another cop car with flashing lights the moment she opens the door, and he instantly calls the others in, so they are already there in full force because of the 911 call.

Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth picture

Deliberate mistake: Joey finds Channard's photo of Capt. Elliot Spencer in the closed art gallery but Kirsty stole that photo and gave it to Pinhead in the second film, where it was left on the floor of Hell. Also, all the sketches of the box were amongst the things from Channard's institute but those pictures and the other similar ones were from Dr. Channard's home collection. They were never kept at the institute.

Suggested correction: It was actually in a room in the institute. Not hell. Easy enough to retrieve it.

Silent Hill: Revelation picture

Deliberate mistake: When Douglas' fingers are chopped off, they are hit from the right side by the blade, but they inexplicably fly directly forward (instead of to the left as they shoot), somersaulting smoothly through the air in a clean, uniform manner. Obviously done for the sake of the 3D effects in the film as they fly directly towards camera, but completely defying the laws of physics.
