Revealing mistake: During the "Outfox the Fox" number when Hawkins "cuts" the copies of himself in half, the copies are obviously all grown men, which then obviously become little people standing on each others' shoulders; it's easy to tell where the cloak hems of the little people on top end. Other mistake: When Jimmy is putting the first newspaper article up on the bulletin board, the article is titled "Owls Win Fifth Straight", but the actual article text talks about the Owls having just played and lost the last game of the season that "not only knocked the Owls from post-season action, but ended a 17 game winning streak." Continuity mistake: When Rango is stranded in the middle of the road, he is clutching a drinking glass in his left hand. For the rest of the scene (starting from when he molts), the glass switches to his right hand.
Continuity mistake: When Jimmy and the rest of the kids are standing on the balcony, Jimmy asks Goddard to activate his binoscope so they can get a better view of the arena. Goddard then extends his eyes into tubes and raises them. However, in the next shot, his eyes are raised but not extended into tubes yet. Continuity mistake: When Hubble is addressing the other dogs in a garage, on the day Owen can understand dogs, he is standing on a wooden crate. In some shots, there is a noticeable gap between the first and second piece of wood from the front on the crate. Continuity mistake: When Steve Martin is going berserk in the grocery store he is wearing white socks as he runs away from the assistant manager. In the next scene in the jail cell, he's wearing black socks.
Continuity mistake: Look at the scene where Chanel and her mom are putting on face cream. In the wide shot, Chanel only has cream on her chin, cheeks and forehead. Her mom hasn't applied the cream. In the close-up (when her mom says that they might be moving to Paris), there's cream all over their faces.
Continuity mistake: Stan is sitting at his desk listening to the answering machine messages and failing to do anything productive. During the whole scene, the handle of his mug switches orientation, pointing at him in every faraway shot, pointing to his left in every closer shot. (00:04:25 - 00:05:30)
