Continuity mistake: During the flashback of Yugi building the Millennium Puzzle, in the establishing shot, Yugi has his left hand on the back of the puzzle. But in a close-up of the puzzle, his left hand is across the side of it. (00:04:43)
Other mistake: When Yugi summons Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts, the attack and defence points display shows it to have 2100 defence points. This monster only has 1200 defence points, as shown on the card when Yugi summoned it. (00:10:55)
Other mistake: When Marik draws Worm Drake from his deck, the monster card is a Level 8 monster. Worm Drake is a Level 4 monster. (00:11:23)
