Continuity mistake: When the guys are listening to the baseball game on the radio, dispatch drops tones for Engine 16 and only Squad 51, yet Chet turns the radio off, and all the engine company guys rush out of the day room then head to their rig, even though it's only Roy and John that were dispatched.
Visible crew/equipment: After Engine 51 rolls up to the scene of Paula's car accident, when Captain Hammer stands up in the engine's cab, the reflection of production equipment can be seen on the engine's chrome spotlight.
Visible crew/equipment: At the start, when Squad 51 rolls up on the car accident scene, in the shot from inside the squad we can see the entire area around the wrecked car, and there's only a utility pole, short wood fencing, and trees. When Roy and John are treating Paula, and then removing her from the car, in the overhead shots as the camera faces the wrecked car and 51's rigs, there's a very large rectangular shadow being cast over the car, which is presumably from a reflector screen facing the front of the car.

Continuity mistake: While Early, Dixie, and Brackett are talking in the hallway about going to lunch, Ellen comes out of the treatment room (opposite receiving) next door to treatment 2 and calls to Dr. Early, but when Early and Ellen walk back into that room, they are now in treatment 3, which is directly opposite from treatment 2.

Other mistake: When Johnny and Roy visit the woman they assisted in delivery, they go through the ER's double doors opposite receiving, as if heading upstairs to her room, and soon she even comments that the baby was brought up to her from the ER. Then, when the guys leave her room, Roy pushes open the door on the right, and we can see the ER's treatment 5 and the silver cabinets right up the hallway, so we know that Roy and John were actually in the room just off to the side of the nurses' station in the ER.
Continuity mistake: After Johnny and Roy find the motorcycle and its injured rider, Johnny wraps his arm/shoulder area, but the way it's wrapped - whether or not it's over the shoulder and/or at his waist, and the amount that's wound around his body, significantly differs between shots until they see Vince at the base station.
Visible crew/equipment: After Squad 51 is dispatched to the cliff rescue, when Roy and Johnny board Copter 10 at Rampart, the reflection of the production vehicle/equipment is visible on the glass surface at the helicopter's nose.
Other mistake: When Roy's talking to Dixie while John's waiting out in the squad, a call comes over the HT that Roy's holding, and Squad 51 is asked to respond to a 'possible heart case'. Roy pulls a piece of paper out of his pocket, and as we hear the dispatcher giving the address, we can see Keven Tighe softly mouthing the address at the same time that it's being given for the first time.
Other mistake: When the boy is brought to the ER by his babysitter, they hook him up to the ventilator and we see the bag dramatically showing inflation and deflation in the closeup, but in the wide shots the bag is deflated and doesn't move.
Continuity mistake: When the man who doesn't speak English is in treatment 4, there's a closeup of the Datascope 850 monitor, and then the girl points to the EKG monitoring unit behind the gurney and asks Dixie why the thing is bouncing up and down. Problem is that the Datascope 850 is used by the paramedics and it's not actually in that treatment room. The treatment room has a Zenith Travenol unit.
Continuity mistake: When Squad 51 is dispatched to the attempted suicide, the dispatcher states that he's in apartment 2A, and when Roy and John arrive at the scene the police officer also says he's in apartment 2A, but when they get to the second floor they pass apt 2A and go to the apartment at the end of the hall.
Continuity mistake: When the guys of Station 51 are dealing with the rescue of the doctor from the radioactive lab, Johnny's, Chet's, and Marco's SCBA cylinders change during this scene while they're all wearing them. Differences such as tall, slim, with a flat top vs short, wide, with a rounded top, and also the writing on the tanks. Marco's even changes between shots, when he exits the lab's doorway.
Other mistake: After Station 51 responds to the 'man caught in an air conditioning duct', when they get on the elevator its metal sliding doors and metal jamb on the lower lobby have scratches and dents on the exterior, and the same scratches and dents are on the doors and jamb, when they reach the upper level.
Other mistake: When 51's guys are watching the Adam-12 episode on TV, on that show just after Reed is knocked out by one of the hitmen, the hitman says "Nate would've blown his stack if I'd let you go," (refers to the hitman's partner, Nate), but Emergency!'s subtitles read, "Pete would've blown his stack...," (Pete is Jim Reed's partner) Then a few moments later the hitman Nate yells, "I wanna talk a deal," but subtitles read, "I wanna talk to Neil," and there isn't even anyone named Neil.
Other mistake: After being dispatched to the heart attack, when John and Roy have cardioverted the V-fib Brackett asks for another EKG strip, and when Brackett lifts the chart paper to read it, it just shows flatlining, no rhythm whatsoever.

Continuity mistake: When Roy and Johnny are dispatched to the home of the woman who's in labor, the deputy shatters the door's pane of glass, but there is absolutely no glass on the carpet once they enter the house.
The Wedsworth-Townsend Act - S1-E1
Other mistake: Before the car goes over the cliff, Dixie says that the woman has a fractured radius and ulna (forearm), and then at the hospital when Dr. Brackett talks to Dixie he says the same thing, but when Dr. Early walks into Brackett's office, he says "The woman with the busted fibula (lower leg), she's coming out of shock now."

Revealing mistake: When Gage and DeSoto are on scene with the unconscious woman and a dog, they break the front window of the house. In the interior shot as DeSoto climbs through the window, there is a white wall beside the window outside, which blocks the view of the "outside." That wall does not exist in the exterior shots. The same thing happens when Gage opens the front door.
Continuity mistake: When dispatch calls on a possible overdose, Gage puts on his turnout coat and gets into the squad, but as they drive away from the station house Gage is not wearing that jacket, and when they reach their destination he is once again.
The Wedsworth-Townsend Act - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: When Dr. Early hands the sousaphone with the bunny to Dr. Brackett, the instrument's mouthpiece faces Dr. Early, but in the next shot the instrument has flipped and the mouthpiece now faces Dr. Brackett. (00:50:50)
Answer: Yes, there's a thin cable secured to the sign's bottom mounting bracket which leads upward to the crane arm, and can be seen in quite a few shots at various angles. It's reasonable to presume that this cable which is secured to the crane was part of the sign's mounting process to the two wall brackets before the winds caused the accident, the premise of this rescue. For this reason it really can't be noted as "stunt wires being visible" or something like that.
