Other mistake: Before their next shift starts, when Johnny walks into the locker room whistling he turns the corner and walks through the doorway between the dorm and locker room, but what's odd is that right behind him there's a brick wall instead of the dorm.
Other mistake: At the start of shift, after Roy digs into Johnny for calling Joanne, Station 51 is dispatched to the children lost in the flooding storm drain and time out is 08:32. Then at the scene, the officer says that they got a report about two missing boys two hours earlier, and that a witness saw teenagers pull up the manhole cover just before noon, and another witnessed the two boys playing around the open manhole. So what time is it supposed to be - early in the morning or some time in the afternoon? The times just don't sync.
Other mistake: While 51's guys are at the accident scene by the freeway on-ramp, when Roy's standing on the ladder and says the car door's jammed, Captain Stanley tells Chet and Marco to get the Porta Power, but subtitles read "Jack, Marco, we need the Porta Power," even though there's no character named Jack. Other mistake: Jamie Farr appears in 2x19 "Boot" as Alan Austen, the guy who claims that he can't move his arm because of a curse, but he's mistakenly listed in the credits at the end of this episode.
Other mistake: After Roy tells Captain Stanley, over the HT, that he and Johnny may have found something in the flooding storm drain, Captain Stanley uses his HT to contact Marco and Chet (who are driving Squad 51 while John and Roy are down below), and says "Squad 51, Engine 51..," but the subtitles read, "Car 51, Engine 51..." Other mistake: Roy and Johnny are in the squad when they're dispatched to the fire at the junior high, and while en route in the interior shot, in the rear-view mirror we see the reflection of the driver's helmet, and it has an 18 on it, instead of 51.
Other mistake: During the structure fire at the Atlas Hotel, when Roy and John are with the unconscious man being given proper CPR by civilians, it is too painfully apparent that the man giving rescue breaths is just leaning over the man's face, nowhere near the victim's mouth, particularly after Marco and Chet drop off the stokes.

However, in episode 2x5, "Peace Pipe", Brackett presses two buttons - the third and fifth, when Squad 51 is at the scene of the drunk driver's accident, and in 2x10, "Dinner Date", Dixie presses the second button to record, when Squad 51 is with the little girl whose arm is stuck in the pool drain.

Other mistake: After the guys rescue Dr. Temple from under the library bookcase, when the attendants take him to the ambulance Johnny alone leaves with him, and while Billy and Roy are still in the library talking we hear the ambulance leaving with its siren blaring, but when the ambulance arrives at Rampart the attendant opens the back door and somehow Billy has actually joined Johnny and Dr. Temple in the ambulance.

Other mistake: After Johnny and Roy are dispatched to the actor with the possible heart attack, Brackett asks them to send an EKG strip, and when Brackett lifts the chart paper to read it, he is not looking at the side that would have the line tracing recorded by the stylus, he is actually looking at the back of the paper as it's rolling out of the machine. Also note that the chart paper is quite blank on both sides. Additionally, just prior to this, when Brackett presses the record tab on the recorder, it just pops back up and does not engage.
Other mistake: At the start of this episode the tones drop and Station 51 is dispatched to a fire and explosion. In this closeup, all the guys come running from the kitchen into the apparatus bay and head for the vehicles, but wait, none of them are actually 51's guys.
Other mistake: When Roy and Johnny are with the guy who somersaulted off the roof into the pool, Johnny is in the pool giving him oxygen, and in the closeups Johnny's left hand varies between very hairy, not hairy at all, normal fingernails and bitten up fingernails. Additionally, the hand holding the mask on the boy's face changes back and forth between Johnny's left and right hand, between shots.
Other mistake: When all the guys are asleep in the dorm, at 12:47 AM the dispatcher drops tones for Squad 51 and we hear him say, "Squad 51, person sick," yet the footage that is shown is of all the guys getting up, not just Roy and Johnny, putting on their turnouts.
Other mistake: After Marco offers Boot the ground beef while the guys are trying to figure out what's wrong with the dog, the tones drop and we hear the dispatcher say, "Station 51, Engine 95, Foam 27," but the odd subtitles read "Engine 95, Phone 27." Subtitles from Universal Studios 2010 DVD.
Other mistake: When Brackett asks Early to see the patient (Jaime Farr) who claims he can't move his arm because of a curse, Early walks into treatment 5, but in the shot from inside the room we can see that they're in treatment 2.
Other mistake: When Roy and Johnny are with the woman whose hand is caught in the mixer, we can see tape on the side of the stand mixer (Sunbeam) as well on the food containers, covering all their brand names.
Other mistake: When Johnny and Roy are with the baby who's sleeping in the back seat of the locked car John says, "The roof is hot, I think the heat might have built up inside," and the bystander says, "Lord knows how long he's been lying in there broiling in the sun," but what's funny is that they're all wearing winter coats and jackets.
Answer: It is standard practice to wet down driveways so that they stand out in a long shot.
