Publicity Hound - S1-E8

Other mistake: When Johnny is complaining about Tom Wheeler while the guys are preparing lunch, Squad 51 is dispatched to a structure fire so Roy and Johnny head out of the kitchen, but Marco turns the stove flame off and the rest of the guys in the engine company leave the kitchen as well, even though they were not dispatched.

Other mistake: After Johnny gets off the phone with Tom Wheeler, and starts complaining about him while the guys are preparing lunch, there are two milk containers on the table which have orange tape covering the brand names.

Audio problem: After Tom Wheeler and his partner Kirk show up to assist with the trapped girl, when it cuts to Roy down in the rescue shaft we see him ask Johnny, "Do you see her yet?" but we don't hear any audio, just before we hear Johnny say, "We're getting close." Additionally, earlier at the start of the little girl's rescue, when Johnny tries to loop the rope around Helena's wrist and it doesn't work, he says,"Damn it," but the subtitles read "Darn it."

Publicity Hound - S1-E8

Continuity mistake: While John's lying in the lateral tunnel when digging to reach Helena, his entire uniform is covered in dirt, but when John pulls her out and is with Roy in the rescue shaft, John's uniform is only a little dirty, nowhere near as filthy as it was just moments before.

Visible crew/equipment: When John and Roy are tunneling through to the little girl trapped in the hole, they're in the second larger hole that has been shored up on all sides with wood (to keep it from collapsing), but when Roy points the chrome flashlight down the lateral hole Johnny's digging in, we can see in its reflection that the fourth wall doesn't exist, where the camera and lights are located.

Revealing mistake: On scene with the little girl trapped in the hole, when they shine the flashlight down the hole in the overhead closeup, it's too obvious that it's a doll with its arm raised up, plus the fact that we see plenty of space around the doll, contradicting the plot of the little girl being wedged in a tight space.

Weird Wednesday - S1-E9

Visible crew/equipment: While Roy and John are on scene with the "car over cliff" Johnny heads down to the car too quickly, and when he ends up falling his mic transmitter and cable slip out from their hidden area, and become visible on the front of his shirt.

Weird Wednesday - S1-E9

Revealing mistake: When Squad 51 is dispatched to the man who has difficulty breathing, once they arrive and it cuts to a closeup, at the top of the screen there is a small dark film square that moves towards the left corner, and then it stays there in the following shots facing Johnny, until he contacts Rampart on the Biophone.

Weird Wednesday - S1-E9

Visible crew/equipment: When Early and Brackett try to deal with the elderly group who want to see their friend, as the group walk away toward the waiting room, two actors' T-marks are visible on the floor, one of them is at Dixie's feet, the other beside her.

Weird Wednesday - S1-E9

Continuity mistake: When the guys are listening to the baseball game on the radio, dispatch drops tones for Engine 16 and only Squad 51, yet Chet turns the radio off, and all the engine company guys rush out of the day room then head to their rig, even though it's only Roy and John that were dispatched.

Weird Wednesday - S1-E9

Continuity mistake: When the man who doesn't speak English is in treatment 4, there's a closeup of the Datascope 850 monitor, and then the girl points to the EKG monitoring unit behind the gurney and asks Dixie why the thing is bouncing up and down. Problem is that the Datascope 850 is used by the paramedics and it's not actually in that treatment room. The treatment room has a Zenith Travenol unit.

Weird Wednesday - S1-E9

Continuity mistake: When Roy breaks the key in the squad's ignition, while he's holding the broken piece in the two wide shots there's something dangling from the key's hole (another key/keychain), but in the closeup it's just the broken bit in his hand.

Weird Wednesday - S1-E9

Continuity mistake: When the man who doesn't speak English is lying in treatment 4, in Dixie's closeups she and the patient's 'friend' are standing in front of the wall with the white dispenser, but in the repeated wide shots of Early with the patient, that wall is seen behind Early and nobody is standing in front of it.

Dilemma - S1-E10

Visible crew/equipment: After the man with trichloroethylene poisoning is hosed down and loaded onto the ambulance, while Roy's on the Biophone with Rampart, John's uniform jacket is pulled open with his hands on his hips, and we can see the outline of his mic transmitter in his shirt pocket with the wires coming out of the pocket.

Dilemma - S1-E10

Continuity mistake: Responding to the elevator call, in the overhead shot Squad 51 pulls up adjacent to the street awning when Gage and DeSoto get out, but in the next ground shot the squad is 20-25 feet farther down.

Trainee - S2-E8

Roy: I think you're on some sort of an ego trip, Ed. And in my book that makes you a very dangerous character.
Ed: [Laughs.] Ego trip, huh? Well, I didn't realize that psychiatry was part of the paramedic's training.
Roy: Oh that's good, Ed, you be funny. But that isn't gonna change anything. You wanna know what I figure? Well, I figure when you were working in Vietnam, it was rough. So rough you started playing over your head. And you were making it, you were doing real good. Considering it was a combat situation. And pretty soon you started getting all blown up about how Ed Marlowe is just as good as the real doctors. And you've been living on that ever since. And the trouble is, Ed, you are good. Except for two little problems. You can't quit competing with real doctors. And you can't face being wrong. You see, those people we treat out there, I mean the people we work for, the people who pay for this whole operation, they're real people, Ed, with real problems. And they have a right to expect more than just being used by you for some sort of trip. [Completely exasperated.] I guess what I'm trying to say to you, Ed, is that in my book you're just plain unprofessional.
[Ed walks out.]
John: Do you think it did any good?
Roy: Do you?

Limelight - S6-E24

Trivia: Keep your eyes peeled for the big sheepdog who runs right into the patio door in the background, when Roy and Johnny are with the sitter who's hyperventilating, due to three very obnoxious boys she's been babysitting, and then the look on Johnny's face as he tries not to break character when he turns to Roy and says "Dumb dog." Also, a few moments later you'll see Roy and his imaginary watch. Absolutely priceless.

The Mouse - S4-E20

Question: The old man that comes in with his wife that can't breathe, the one that the head nurse tries to counsel and tempts him with a cup of coffee. I believe he is Alfred Hitchcock, though his name is not listed anywhere. Alfred Hitchcock is known for his cameo appearances in his own shows and in other shows. Can someone confirm that this is him? This is driving me nuts... It is toward the end of the episode, but I cannot give you times.

Answer: I believe you are speaking of the old man, Mr. Wilson. He's played by J. Pat O'Malley.

Bishop73

Correct, it was J. Pat O'Malley...he also played the grandfather with his grandson when their rocket exploded, and also played "Old Bill" in the episode with Ann Prentiss, where Gage saves the little girl from the burning tree house, and her mother falls in love with him.
