Revealing mistake: When Quicksilver is fidgeting inside his containment shell, the animators neglected to properly sync his body movement. You can see that his shoulders are not "connected" to his arms, as if his head and shoulders were separated from the rest of his body.
Other mistake: Rogue states that this is Jubilee's first Christmas as an X-Man. However, Jubilee was already a member of the X-Men when Senator Kelly declared his candidacy for President in season 1, and the season 2 premiere episode showed him being sworn-in as President. Election Day is in November and the President is sworn-in in January, so Jubilee should have already had at least one Christmas as a member of the X-Men.
Continuity mistake: Magneto straps Wolverine to the port side of a boat and then drops the boat on a warehouse. When Gambit is freeing Wolverine, Wolverine is suddenly on the starboard side of the boat. After Gambit frees Wolverine, they are both shown to be on the boat's port side.
00:17:00 - 00:18:00Phaneron
Revealing mistake: When Mr. Sinister is mocking Jubilee, take a close look at his neckline as he moves his head. The animators moved his neckline as he moved his head, but his shoulders stay in place, so his head and neck look like they are floating above his shoulders.
Factual error: When Rogue attempts to correct the space shuttle's flight path, she has to let go because of the intense heat due to re-entry. Indeed, a temperature as hot as a shuttle in re-entry (upwards of 3,000° F) would have completely melted through her gloves, yet when she lets go, they only have a little smoke coming off them.
Factual error: When Moira is calling her ex-husband Joe in Edinburgh from the Blackbird phone, she dials a typical U.S. seven-digit phone number (it looks like she dials 555-1238). However, even assuming she wouldn't be required to dial an exit code from the Blackbird, a typical Edinburgh phone number would have more digits, along the lines of +44-131-XXX-XXXX.
Character mistake: When the civilians are fleeing the coffee shop, there are two spelling errors on the coffee shop's marquee. Firstly, the name of the coffee shop is Rip Van Winkle, but on the marquee, Winkle is spelled as "Winkile." To the right of that, Coffee House is spelled as "Coffe House."
Continuity mistake: There are two continuity errors regarding the final shot of Wolverine in this episode. Firstly, his arms are colored yellow. Secondly, his costume has magically mended itself after being torn to shreds by his mutation earlier in the episode.
Other mistake: When Scarlet Witch falls from the cliff, she lands on a hover craft and kicks its pilot off. The pilot is then immediately show falling into a pond. It then takes Scarlet Witch several seconds to save Quicksilver who was free-falling from the same cliff. Given how fast the hover craft pilot fell to the ground, Quicksilver also would have fallen to the ground before Scarlet Witch could have caught him.
Continuity mistake: After Magneto and Wolverine have been captured, when Wolverine is asking Magneto what is going on, the perspective of the shot makes it look like Magneto is looking down on Wolverine from a considerably taller height when they are both standing on a level floor. Additionally, the square slabs that make up the floor become smaller.
Revealing mistake: After the New Men have captured Magneto, Wolverine, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, the establishing shot of the High Evolutionary's headquarters is a recycled shot of when Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver first arrived at his headquarters a few minutes earlier in the episode, played on a loop (note the lightning strikes and the High Evolutionary's pink energy field being repeated).
00:05:35 - 00:12:40Phaneron
Continuity mistake: For the first half of this episode, Magneto is wearing a red dress-shirt with a black tie under a dark gray trenchcoat. After he is captured by the High Evolutionary, he is suddenly wearing his usual red and purple costume. Even if Magneto brought a change of clothes with him, it's extremely unlikely that the High Evolutionary would change his clothes for him.
00:03:40 - 00:12:40Phaneron
Continuity mistake: The style of the lettering on Magda's gravestone changes after the goat-woman runs away from Magneto. There is also a stone that was next to the grave when it is first shown that has suddenly disappeared in the same shot of the goat-woman running away.
00:09:10 - 00:09:45Phaneron
Continuity mistake: When Bova is bringing the baby twins to Django and Marya's house, the arm she is carrying the respective twin in changes depending on the shot. When she is first shown walking towards the house, she is holding Wanda in her left arm and Pietro in her right. When she is walking up the steps to the door, she is carrying Pietro in her left arm and Wanda in her right. When the shot changes after Django opens the door, the twins have switched arms again, and then again when she hands the babies to Django and Marya.
Continuity mistake: When Xavier is surrounded by a group of mutants in his subconscious, if you look at Quicksilver you can see that the colorist made his shirt flesh-colored. You can tell he is supposed to be wearing a shirt because the lightning bolt design is still going across his torso.
Continuity mistake: During the battle at the end, Cyclops uses the crystal statue he brought with him in the fight by throwing it into the air and uses it to refocus his optic blasts on a crowd of attackers. After the battle is over he gives the statue to Dr. Prescott without ever having retrieved it.
00:18:55 - 00:20:20Phaneron
Other mistake: When the group of mutants are listening to Solarr's speech, in one continuous shot of ten of them that lasts at least four seconds, they are all standing completely still, not one of them moving a muscle, blinking or making the slightest adjustment in their facial expressions.
Plot hole: At the speed Cyclops is traveling in his mini-jet when he passes Watchdog's tower, he would have been long out of range before Watchdog could force him out of the air into a crash landing, considering that Watchdog had to take time to alert Solarr of Cyclops' presence and be ordered to knock him out of the air.
Other mistake: After Rogue absorbs Wolverine's healing powers and purges the transformation spores from her system, she reverts back into human form including losing the tail that she grew. Given that the tail protruded from her backside, there should have been a hole in the back of her pants afterwards, yet there is none.
Continuity mistake: When the biker discovers the children hiding in the tree, his motorcycle is parked right next to the tree with the left side of his motorcycle facing the pit. When he gets back on the motorcycle, it is suddenly several feet away from the tree and the front wheel is facing the pit.
Revealing mistake: The footage of Jubilee flying off in the mini-jet is recycled footage of her flying Colossus back to Russia from the season 4 episode "Red Dawn." You can even make out Colossus' silhouette in the window over the passenger seat in one shot, even though Jubilee is supposed to be by herself.
Continuity mistake: When Leech is first shown in his sick bed, he is shirtless and under the sheets. When he begins receiving a blood transfusion from Wolverine, he is fully clothed and also wearing a beanie. Given the weak and near-death state he was in, it's extremely unlikely the other Morlocks would bother dressing him.
00:09:20 - 00:14:15Phaneron
Other mistake: When Ape and Annalee walk to the back doors of the ambulance, the window on the right rolls down. Ignoring the fact that those windows don't actually roll down, neither Ape nor Annalee do anything to make it roll down.
Continuity mistake: The end of the episode shows Xavier standing with no assistance. The only time in the series that the use of his legs were restored were a side effect of him losing his powers. He has his powers in this scene, so there's not really any reason for him to suddenly have the use of his legs back.
Other mistake: During the montage of people being erased from time, the exterior shot of the X-Mansion shows part of the mansion destroyed. The mansion is later shown to be destroyed by Graymalkin after the heroes defeat Apocalypse, but at this point in the episode there's no reason for the damage.
Continuity mistake: The position of Cable's gun when it is holstered on his back varies throughout the episode. Sometimes it is slanted at a 45° angle with the butt going over his right shoulder, sometimes it is sticking straight up with the butt going over his left shoulder, etc.
Continuity mistake: When Mystique first impersonates Shard in order to fool Psylocke, both Mystique and the real Shard are missing the gun holster that is usually on top of Shard's right shoulder. When Pyslocke and Wolverine both state that they can see through Mystique's deception, the gun holster has suddenly appeared on Mystique's right shoulder.
Continuity mistake: The length of the chain attached to the collar of Archangel's guard dog varies. When the dog is first shown, the chain is only shown to be around three feet long. When the dog discovers Psylocke, it is able to run several feet towards her and away from the wall where it was chained up.
Plot hole: Beast comments on Mr. Sinister's new-found time travel abilities. However, Beast has no way of knowing that Mr. Sinister is time traveling. He only knows that Mr. Sinister is using portals, which could just as well be for teleportation.
Plot hole: Gambit remarks that Shard is his kind of time traveler. However, Shard was inside the mansion and Gambit was outside when he said that, and he had never previously met her, so there was no way he could have known who she was without having even seen her or even that she was a time traveler.
Continuity mistake: The security footage of Cortez betraying Magneto is slightly different than the event itself. Cortez stated that Magneto would serve the mutant cause better as a martyr and then jettisoned his chambers into space. The security footage somehow has a shot of Magneto's chambers being jettisoned from a long distance with Cortez's martyr comment voiced over.
Continuity mistake: In the flashback during Magneto's memorial, when the Nazis are approaching his home it says "Lehnsherr" on the door. After they kick the door open, the writing on the door has disappeared and either a hatch or a small window has appeared on the door from nowhere.
Continuity mistake: When Fabian Cortez is scapegoating Gambit in front of the mob, he grabs him by the blue clothing that lines the body armor on his chest. When he says to Gambit "Mark my words X-Man..." the blue clothing is now the same brown color as Gambit's trenchcoat.
Continuity mistake: When Rogue is asking about Gambit's whereabouts, she along with Beast and Xavier are close to the front of the shuttle. When the shot changes, the three of them as well as one of the astronauts are suddenly further back in the shuttle (note the doorway).
Continuity mistake: When Magneto first notices the missiles being fired at Asteroid M, he is dressed in loungewear and Xavier is wearing his usual green suit. When the shot changes Magneto is suddenly wearing his costume and Xavier is wearing a more casual outfit. Given how fast the missiles are shown to be approaching, they wouldn't have had time to change their clothes.
Continuity mistake: When Magneto is showing Asteroid M to the delegates at the U.N. meeting, the Genoshan delegate he forced to sit down has either moved to another seat entirely or the people that were sitting around him moved to different seats and other people filled in their seats.
Plot hole: Some of the footage Magneto is showing the delegates at the U.N. meeting includes footage Magneto could not possibly have had access to even if such footage existed, such as the X-Men having mission briefings in the War Room, the Morlocks living in the sewers or Warren Worthington emerging from being buried under several feet of snow at his secluded home in the mountains.
00:03:10 - 00:04:05Phaneron
Continuity mistake: The exit door and stairwell outside of the town hall are shown to be at the very edge of the building when Proteus goes through it. When Xavier, Beast, Rogue and Wolverine use the same door and stairwell, the building suddenly stretches on for several more feet.
00:13:20 - 00:13:55Phaneron
Revealing mistake: When Proteus is leaving his father's home while possessing the police officer, the green glow of his eyes doesn't stay in place as he is moving. You can see the green glows leave his face and float in midair with the eye slots on the face turning black. It appears that the animators couldn't keep the glowing eyes synchronized with the body movement.
Other mistake: When the two civilians are walking past Joe McTaggert's campaign posters, they are shown to be walking unusually fast, almost as if the ground beneath them is moving them forward between strides (similar to as if you were walking on a moving sidewalk inside an airport).
Continuity mistake: At the very end of the previous episode after Proteus had messed with Wolverine's sense of reality, Wolverine is shown whimpering in an open area. When Wolverine is shown at the beginning of this episode still whimpering, he has suddenly moved next to a treeline. Given the state of shock he was in, it's doubtful he would have gotten up and moved.
Continuity mistake: During Xavier's flashback, Jean Grey goes from wearing her current (as of the show's broadcast) uniform while training in the Danger Room to her original "Marvel Girl" uniform when Amelia is leaving the mansion. Additionally, when Xavier is talking to Amelia in the Danger Room's control room, he is in his usual hoverchair, yet when Amelia is leaving the mansion, he is in a regular wheelchair.
Other mistake: Shard shows Storm and Wolverine surveillance footage of Trevor Fitzroy's deal with Master Mold, stating it was all they could get of their plan before the camera was discovered. However, the footage shows multiple camera angles that a lone mounted surveillance camera could not achieve.
00:11:30 - 00:12:35Phaneron
Continuity mistake: When Bishop and Shard first appear in the alternate present timeline, they appear right next to the doorway of the infirmary where Wolverine, Storm and others are taking refuge. When the shot changes to Bishop stating that they have arrived too late, he and Shard are suddenly several yards away from the doorway.
