Continuity mistake: When the statue is about to fall on Wolverine, his arms are colored yellow. (00:16:25)
Continuity mistake: When Apocalypse is saying "Go forth my horsemen," his right arm is raised up. When the shot changes, his right arm is immediately at his side. (00:06:30)
Continuity mistake: The trap door that Apocalypse uses to escape suddenly disappears once Wolverine tries to claw his way through it. (00:19:35)
Continuity mistake: When Warren Worthington is strapped to the table, the arm and leg restraints are gold. After the table has been lowered, the restraints are now silver. (00:02:29 - 00:02:56)
Continuity mistake: When the Lady Gardener kills the rose, it droops down almost to the surface of the table. When the shot changes, it is now only drooping about midway down its vase. (00:03:56)
Continuity mistake: When Rogue, Cyclops, Jean Grey and Xavier are first shown in the bar, the glasses in front of Rogue and Cyclops contain green liquid. When Cyclops is consoling Rogue, the liquid is now blue. When the shot changes, the liquid in the glass in front of Rogue is now green again. (00:03:49 - 00:04:18)
Continuity mistake: When Mystique, disguised as Warren Worthington, first walks into the bar, the walls are purple. When she is saying "You don't have to be mutants," the walls are now red. When the shot changes, they are back to being purple, and a framed picture has appeared over her left shoulder. (00:04:18)
Continuity mistake: When Storm turns on the TV, the news reporter's microphone has a yellow 7 on a black circle. A couple of shots later, the black circle is now also yellow. (00:07:49)
Continuity mistake: When Xavier is briefing the X-Men about Apocalypse, Storm is on Xavier's left, and as the camera pans up and to the left, you can see no-one is around her. When the shot changes, Cyclops and Rogue are suddenly next to Storm. (00:10:21)
Continuity mistake: When Rogue positions the platform that Mystique is shackled to upright, Mystique's feet are close to touching the floor. A couple of shots later, her feet are suddenly several inches higher. (00:14:08)
Other mistake: When Rogue is hovering above Muir Island, she pulls out a book to confirm she's in the right place, and the picture of Muir Island in her book shows it to have three smaller islands on its south side. When she lowers the book to look at the actual island, only the large island shown on the southwest side in the book is there. She's only hovering a few hundred feet above the island, so even though the other two islands were small, they should still be visible. (00:09:48)
Continuity mistake: When Gambit and Wolverine are about to fight each other, Wolverine's claws are extended, and Gambit has a kinetically charged playing card raised in his right hand. When Rogue intervenes, Wolverine's claws are suddenly retracted, his hands are incorrectly colored white, and Gambit's right arm is down at his side, not holding any card. A couple of shots later, Wolverine's claws are once again extended. (00:07:15)
Continuity mistake: When Cable has broken into Warren's lab from the balcony, the doorknobs on the double-door are intact. As the scene progresses, one or both doorknobs will disappear and reappear, and the broken glass on the one door will be intact. Additionally, when the opened door is first shown, there are a couple of broken pieces of glass on the floor next to it. When the shot changes, the pieces of glass are gone. (00:02:35 - 00:04:30)
Factual error: The commercial airplane that Rogue is piggy-backing to Muir Island has no overhead storage bins. Just a shelf running the length of the cabin with luggage stacked on top, which is not something that the FAA or any other national aviation authority would permit. (00:09:20)
Answer: Chris Potter, the original Gambit voice actor, did indeed quit the role in the 4th season. His last episode was The Phalanx Covenant Part 1 so it seems reasonable that Fox would limit the use of the character even though it was recast. It doesn't appear that Potter left the role due to animosity, he stated in an interview that he wished to play Gambit in the first live action X-Men film.
