Continuity mistake: When Trudy is reading Maria Rojas' record, Crockett can be seen in the background holding onto a phone with his left hand, while looking over a report with his right hand. The shot then cuts to a closer angle of Crockett, where he is looking over the report with both hands, while the phone is being held by his shoulder. (00:10:10)
Continuity mistake: When Crockett and Tubbs are talking while at the hotel, there is a shot of Crockett saying, "Give him my love," where he wipes his chin and begins to move his hand away from his face. When the shot cuts, his hand is suddenly on his thigh. (00:08:42)
Revealing mistake: When Charlie shoots the guy in the opening scene, just after he shoots the first time, there is a shot of the man falling back. In this shot, the gun is not pointed in the man's direction, and there are no bullet holes shown on his clothes or body. (00:01:10)

His fingers are placed on the car and are aligned with one another when he does this, but when the shot cuts to focus on Crockett, three of his fingers are at a higher angle and his thumb is at a lower angle. Continuity mistake: When Crockett and Ira are driving in the boat, Ira is holding a camera, which he turns to face Crockett. When he does this, Ira is holding the camera with one hand, but when the shot cuts, he is holding it with two hands. (00:18:14)
Revealing mistake: When Gina looks at Odessa's body after killing herself, Odessa's eyelids can be seen moving briefly, even though she is supposed to be dead. (00:42:11)
Continuity mistake: After getting out of the house, Castillo brings Marty to a tree so they can talk. He is shown holding onto Marty's arm when he does this, but when the shot cuts, his hand is over Marty's chest. (00:44:02)
Other mistake: While one of the gunmen searches the bathroom, Castillo is shown hiding near the ceiling by pressing his hands and feet against the walls. He then jumps down onto the floor and sneaks up behind the gunman and stabs him. There was no way the gunman didn't hear Castillo land on the bathroom floor; Castillo was directly behind him, and no other sounds were made. (00:42:50)
