Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers

Teamwork - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: When Kimberley and Trini are fighting the Putties and see the giant Minotaur pass by there is, what looks like, a small child between them. This child is not seen before or after this one shot. (00:11:09)

Food Fight - S1-E6

Revealing mistake: When Pudgy Pig is standing outside of the food packaging plant, a human hand can be seen sticking out of Pudgy Pig's wrist. (00:15:30)

Big Sisters - S1-E7

Visible crew/equipment: When Maria gets down off the Megazord's hand to get into the Rad Bug you can see a driver in the front seat despite the fact that it's supposed to be empty and being controlled remotely. (00:15:21)

For Whom the Bell Trolls - S1-E9

Visible crew/equipment: During the big fight at the end between Ticklesneezer and Megazord you can see a child crouching down next to Megazord at one point. It's hard to miss, bottom right of the screen, and he's wearing green clothing. This is due to the original sentai footage featuring the oversized child in the megazord battle and the Americanized version not editing them out. (00:16:55)

Power Ranger Punks - S1-E12

Continuity mistake: When Alpha is preparing the antidote for Billy and Kimberly after they are turned into punks, the cups change from being half full to having only a small amount of liquid. (00:13:30)

Dark Warrior - S1-E15

Continuity mistake: When the Rangers find Uncle Howard tied to the bombs, Howard asks "Did he tell you about the bomb?" then we see the clock counting down from 18 seconds. A few seconds later, Billy is being encouraged to deactivate the bomb. We get another view of the clock with Billy's hand trying to deactivate it, and the clock is counting down from 18 seconds again. (00:11:55)

Switching Places - S1-E16

Continuity mistake: When the Rangers first appear against Genie, he shoots rods at the rangers which stick in the ground, he then fires a string type substance at them. However the rods have disappeared. (00:11:40)

Suggested correction: This isn't a continuity mistake. The Triceratops forms the legs and are the wheels of the tank mode. That's the shot of the left leg of the tank mode's (i.e. the Triceratops) tracks rolling along the ground.

Green With Evil (1): Out of Control - S1-E17

Continuity mistake: Up until Green No More in Series 2 (where the Green Ranger powers are destroyed), the Green Ranger's overshield constantly changes between solid-looking metal to flimsy-looking cotton. This is the most obvious difference between the Japanese and US footage.

Green With Evil (2): Jason's Battle - S1-E18

Other mistake: In the scene where Tommy is proving himself to Goldar on the beach against the putties, Tommy stares down the last remaining putty and makes a charge towards him. In the wide shot of Tommy charging towards the putty, one of the "dead" putties on the ground lifts his head off the ground slightly, almost as if he is watching the action unfold. (00:09:05)

Suggested correction: They're not dead. They're incapacitated or in a great deal of pain.

Suggested correction: It's been shown on various occasions that the zords can be operated remotely.

DetectiveGadget85

Yes but to call upon the zords you need to have the power coin. The Rangers don't have the coin, therefore the Tyrannosaurus shouldn't be there.

Ssiscool

Zordon created the zord. I'm pretty sure he can summon and operate it without a power coin.

DetectiveGadget85

Zordon was disabled by brainwashed Tommy, so he couldn't have summoned it at this point.

No, the command centre is able to remotely control the zords.

Trivia: Portions of every episode are from a Japanese version of the show. Almost every episode in series 1 was two thirds Japanese footage, just voiced over. Saban used this Japanese footage to save on filming its own.
