Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers

Green With Evil (1): Out of Control - S1-E17

Continuity mistake: Up until Green No More in Series 2 (where the Green Ranger powers are destroyed), the Green Ranger's overshield constantly changes between solid-looking metal to flimsy-looking cotton. This is the most obvious difference between the Japanese and US footage.

Show generally

Continuity mistake: When the Villains send their cronies (for example, Putties, Tengu Warriors, Cogs, Piranhatrons, etc.), their numbers constantly change from when they arrive, to when they leave. This is due to the use of Japanese footage used from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger.

Show generally

Continuity mistake: When the Rangers morph, the clothes they are wearing don't match what they have been wearing that episode - this also applies to hair.

Show generally

Continuity mistake: In the 12 series (Power Rangers Dino Thunder), in the episode "White Thunder Part 3", The Red Ranger throws his blaster to the ground whilst fighting the White Ranger. In the wide shot, the blaster disappears.

Day of the Dumpster - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When we see the long shot of Rita blowing up the ground by the rangers, the clothes of the people in the long shot don't match what the rangers are wearing. Their positions are also different. (00:12:20)

Season 1 generally

Continuity mistake: When in Tank mode and Megazord mode, the order in which the Rangers sit is: Billy, Trini, Jason, Kim, Zach. When switching between Tank mode and Megazord mode, Trini and Kim are switched - they are then back to their original seats once the Megazord has been formed.

Season 1 generally

Continuity mistake: When the Megazord is in Tank mode, the Mastidon's head section is attached to the center of the Zord. But when the Zord begins to stand up and form the Megazord, the Mastidon head section is gone.

Day of the Dumpster - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When the kids leave the command center after being teleported there, in one scene they are all wearing different clothes and Trini's actress has changed as well - she has short hair. (00:11:22)

White Light (2) - S2-E18

Continuity mistake: This can only be seen for a few frames, so slow motion may be needed. Tommy reveals himself as the White Ranger by unclipping his helmet; however, his ponytail is already visible. Tommy's hair should have been inside his suit/helmet if he had just unclipped it. From behind shots, it is tucked in.

Stop the Hate Master (1) - S3-E12

Continuity mistake: Bulk has stepped on Skull's hand. We see a close-up of Bulk's foot on Skull's hand. When we cut to a wide shot of Bulk and Skull, Bulk's foot is no longer on Skull's hand, yet Skull is still squirming like his hand is trapped - as evident by Skull pulling his hand to get it free, and holding it when Bulk walks away.

Zedd Waves - S2-E26

Continuity mistake: Beam-Caster's colour changes 3 times during the episode, It starts as and a orange body with a blue cape, to a black body and black cape. then later back to orange body and blue cape, and finally back to all black clothing again.

White Light (1) - S2-E17

Continuity mistake: When Bulk and Skull are waiting out the appearance of the Rangers, Bulk's kneepads are just below his knees. When he goes to grab Skull (after the explosion), they are around his ankles. When they arrive at the explosion scene, they are on his knees.

Trivia: Portions of every episode are from a Japanese version of the show. Almost every episode in series 1 was two thirds Japanese footage, just voiced over. Saban used this Japanese footage to save on filming its own.

Show generally

Question: How many different Power Ranger TV shows/movies have there been? To my knowledge, I know of at least 7 different series, but I think there is more. How do they all connect?

Answer: According to the IMDB, there are currently 10 different series (with an 11th premiering in 2006). And, as far as I can tell, there have been only two theatrically released movies. All of the series, with the exception of the first one (that premiered back in '93) are spin-offs of the original, and they all share similar plot lines, characters, etc.
