Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers

Trivia: Tommy has been more colours than any other Ranger. He has been the Green, White, Red, and Black Ranger.

Trivia: Portions of every episode are from a Japanese version of the show. Almost every episode in series 1 was two thirds Japanese footage, just voiced over. Saban used this Japanese footage to save on filming its own.

The Green Candle (2) - S1-E35

Trivia: Jason David Frank, who played Tommy, left the show in the episode because his powers had been stolen by the Green Candle. However, he had become the most popular member of the Power Team, despite the original plan being just to temporarily have him on the show. Saban received large amounts of letters daily requesting Frank be brought back. The company eventually gave in and brought Frank back in the episode "Return of an Old Friend." He was returned to Green Ranger status in part 2.

Trivia: Actress Thuy Trang, the original Yellow Ranger, was unfortunately killed in a car accident in September 2001 in San Francisco.

Ninja Quest (1) - S3-E4

Trivia: There was confusion when this episode aired, as it ignored everything that had happened in the Power Rangers movie (the Rangers getting new powers and Zords), which had been released that summer.

The Mutiny (1) - S2-E1

Trivia: This was the first episode where the Rangers take their helmets off in the Command Centre.

Season 3 generally

Trivia: In the Japanese version of the show, there was no Pink Ranger - hence there only being a Red, Black, Blue, Yellow, and White Shogunzord. The Cranezord was originally designed for the White Ranger (who, in the Japanese version, was female), and the Falconzord was an entirely different Zord.

The Wedding (1) - S2-E41

Trivia: This episode and 'Return of the Green Ranger' were filmed in Australia after the movie was completed. Unable to fly back to the U.S. because of a pilot strike, the show took advantage of this unusual opportunity.

White Light (2) - S2-E18

Trivia: At the time of writing, Tommy is the only Ranger to of been two different-colored Rangers in one series, having been the Green and White Ranger in series two.

The Spit Flower - S1-E24

Trivia: During one scene, you can see the custom motorcycles used in the Japanese version of the show in the background - the American Rangers weren't given these cycles.

Trivia: The reason why Tommy was used sporadically as the Green Ranger was because in the original Japanese show, the Dragon Ranger was living on borrowed time and had to conserve his power so he wouldn't die. There weren't many action scenes that included him but he often arrived to aid with the Dragonzord against the giant monsters.

Trivia: Walter Jones (Zack the Black Ranger) is missing his left middle finger. If you look closely you'll see it missing at various times throughout the show. Particularly when he morphs (he's the only one that only has three fingers on top of the morpher).

Show generally

Continuity mistake: When the Villains send their cronies (for example, Putties, Tengu Warriors, Cogs, Piranhatrons, etc.), their numbers constantly change from when they arrive, to when they leave. This is due to the use of Japanese footage used from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger.

Answer: Probably to save on costs of filming the same scene. In the reused shots they have always morphed so you can't see the actors. They just have to pay them to do voice-overs rather than the entire scene.
