Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers

Show generally

Revealing mistake: Until the end of the 5th series, we can see part of the Zord costumes move about as the character in them walks about - sometimes they even look like they are going to fall off. This is particularly true in the 2nd series.

Season 1 generally

Revealing mistake: When one of Rita's monsters tears a building apart, the buildings are completely hollow, and nothing more than 6 pieces of Styrofoam stuck together to look like a building.

Season 1 generally

Revealing mistake: When we see the Dragonzord, Tommy is sometimes standing on top of it. However, it is obvious that "Tommy" is nothing more than a small plastic figure.

High Five - S1-E2

Revealing mistake: After the rope breaks and Bulk is on the floor, he and Skull look up as the ceiling dumps pieces onto them. After this, Bulk spits out white dust that's from the ceiling. However before this even happens as he starts to look up, you can see some white on his lips with his cheeks and mouth perched where he already has the powder in his mouth ready to spit out. High Five - S1-E2

Revealing mistake: For shows like this, sped up footage can be used for effect on people or items to make them seem like they are going faster. However, in the Command Center after Alpha accident'y zaps himself, he starts to flail around the room rapidly with sped up camera. The rangers move out of the way at seemingly normal speed which would mean they were actually moving slowly when filming to make it appear they were normal. This is a good effect, except the sped up camera is given away by the fact the fluctuating lights on the golden poles around the room are flashing at much higher speeds by the sped up footage, giving it away. Food Fight - S1-E6

Revealing mistake: When Pudgy Pig is standing outside of the food packaging plant, a human hand can be seen sticking out of Pudgy Pig's wrist. (00:15:30)

Season 2 generally

Revealing mistake: Certain monsters in Zord battles were designed for the first series. This is so Saban could use Japanese footage of ground fights, to save on shooting their own (As the costumes from series 1 carried over into series 2). Sometimes, you can see the Megazord, and Dragonzord, getting attacked (you may need to pause it). It should be the Thunderzord, or Tigerzord.

White Light (2) - S2-E18

Revealing mistake: The giant tin opener Bulk and Skull use to try and open Rita's dumpster is not metal at all - you can see the handle flopping over. It is more similar to Styrofoam.

The Green Candle (2) - S1-E35

Trivia: Jason David Frank, who played Tommy, left the show in the episode because his powers had been stolen by the Green Candle. However, he had become the most popular member of the Power Team, despite the original plan being just to temporarily have him on the show. Saban received large amounts of letters daily requesting Frank be brought back. The company eventually gave in and brought Frank back in the episode "Return of an Old Friend." He was returned to Green Ranger status in part 2.

More trivia for Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers

Answer: Probably to save on costs of filming the same scene. In the reused shots they have always morphed so you can't see the actors. They just have to pay them to do voice-overs rather than the entire scene.
