Smallville

Hourglass - S1-E6

Trivia: When Lex visits Cassandra and asks her to see his future, she sees a vision of him in the White House. This is a reference to the modern-day Superman comic books, in which Luthor is now the U.S. president.

Craving - S1-E7

Trivia: The Smallville Torch that Lex views on the internet has two articles that refer to past episodes. Pete wrote an article about his trip in a limo called Take Yourself Out Of The Driver's Seat ("Hourglass") and Chloe reprinted The Most Controversial Speech Ever Given In Smallville by Lana's mother ("X-Ray"). Phoenix

Pilot - S1-E1

Trivia: When Clark is on the computer, there's an article about a teen becoming the fastest man alive, normally a title for the Flash. The article names the teen Scott Higgs though, who isn't the Flash. The article says he ran the 100-m dash in 2.4 seconds, which is about 93 miles per hour. In the article it said the old record was 8.5 seconds. In real life, the record in 2001 was 9.79 seconds, so it seems the Smallville universe has several fast metahumans.

Stray - S1-E16

Trivia: When Lex arrives by limo to the Kent's, he gives Clark a sword. He tells Clark "it's a foil. Every hero should have one." This is a reference to Lex being a literary foil to Superman.

Metamorphosis - S1-E2

Trivia: The song Greg is listening to while driving before the bugs swarm him is "Last Resort" by Papa Roach, another bug reference.

Bishop73

Hothead - S1-E3

Trivia: The 9/11 attacks occurred during production. As all planes were grounded, Annette O'Toole had Michael McKean drive her to and from Vancouver; during those car trips, they wrote the songs which later appeared in A Mighty Wind. They later earned a Best Original Song Oscar nomination for "A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow."

Gone - S4-E2

Other mistake: Lois digs up Chloe's grave site to unearth her casket. It is obvious that the casket is not buried six feet deep. You would think, with all that is going on, that LuthorCorp would have at least buried the casket deeper to deter inquisitive eyes and maybe throw in a few scattered bones for good measure.

Shimmer - S1-E10

Lana Lang: That's the thing about Clark Kent. He's not always there when you want him... But he's always there when you need him.

Season 10 generally

Question: Why does Clark keep burning his "S" symbol on the sides of buildings after saving someone? I get him doing it under the influence of red kryptonite, but at this point it just seems like vandalism that Superman would never do. Clark even saw Chloe having to scrub his mark off the wall of Watchtower, which wasn't an easy task. And if it's meant to be a symbol of hope against crime for the people of Metropolis, why burn it into the side of the refinery in Smallville after putting out the fire?
