Golden Parachute - S1-E1

Corrected entry: They pull a man out of the swamp who they believe is still alive, but not breathing, and they sit there pounding on his chest. Not only did they not check for a pulse to determine that chest compressions were necessary, but no one was giving mouth to mouth or doing rescue breathing.

Correction: Depending on the situation, and the levels of protection the first responders have, it has been approved to not give the mouth-to-mouth part of CPR. Especially if there is a risk of the first responder becoming ill (or ingesting swamp).

Body Count - S1-E24

Corrected entry: In this episode, a traffic surveillance camera is used to identify the person responsible for a car jacking. The camera was facing the oncoming lane, presumably to capture the front license plate of the red light violator. But FL doesn't have license plates on the front. The camera should have only seen the back of the vehicle, not the front.

Correction: The key word is PRESUMABLY. it could be possible that they are trying to capture the driver of the car which is why the camera, in this case, took TWO pictures, one when the car ENTERED the intersection and one when it was half way through.

Kill Zone - S1-E9

Corrected entry: At the scene of the first sniper shootings, Calleigh finds a bullet and calls for David to come over. Not Horatio, but David, the first name of the actor who plays Horatio.

Correction: Actually, what she says is: "I've got one divot over here."

MoonFaery

Spring Break - S1-E21

Corrected entry: The mould taken off of the girl's bitten leg was indented, but on the skin a bite would be indented, so the mould should be reversed.

Correction: The presumption must be that they moulded and cast it again, getting back to the original shape. This would be useful for when they came across the original teeth later, so they could settle them into the bite shape for comparison.

Rooster of Doom

Slaughterhouse - S1-E8

Corrected entry: It's stated late in the show that the toddler has blood on her "from all the family members" - but the eldest brother grabbed her up and ran with her after she was standing in her mother's blood and while the father was killing brother 2 (computer and headset). She seems to wander back into the living room and acquire blood from the eldest brother, the infant (who is under brother 1 - this is weird too) and Dad, but I don't recall a scene where she goes into the room of brother 2. Can we assume that she wandered into brother 2's room at some point before leaving by the front door and there just wasn't time to write in a line and a shot to this effect, or did she in fact not carry blood from brother 2 away on her excursion and is the statement "all the family members" incorrect.

Correction: Brother 2 was shot in the back at very close range by his father, using a shotgun. The father would have been covered with the son's blood, as well as his own. When the toddler wandered back into the house from the back yard, where brother 1 took her for safety, she would have had ample opportunity to come in contact with the blood. As has been established repeatedly on the show, the lab needs only a tiny sample of blood to identify who it came from via its DNA. Therefore, the statement that she had blood on her "from all the family members" should be taken at face value.

Rampage - S4-E24

Other mistake: During the scene (towards the end of the episode) when Horatio's young wife Marisol dies, there are two worthy mentions. First is when we see Horatio walk into Marisol's room, there is a doctor present but the two do not speak. Horatio speaks to Marisol at the side of her bed and they joke about their supposed date later that night, and her speech seems fine. A few seconds later while holding her hand, we hear the "flat line" and Marisol passes away. About two seconds after we hear the flat line, the camera angle shows Marisol still turned toward Horatio, her chest still moving to breathe. A split second after that though, the camera angle now shows Marisol face up in the bed, presumably dead. Second issue and perhaps most importantly - Marisol was young, and a gunshot victim who had been in stable condition just the day before. Even if her condition had turned more critical, it seems almost impossible that as soon as she flat lined, there still would not have been immediate resuscitation attempts or calls for a resuscitation team, especially with a doctor who was already in the room.

Tinder Box - S1-E22

Trivia: Because the episode 'Tinder Box' closely resembled (and was likely based on) the fire at a nightclub in Rhode Island that killed 100 people, the local CBS affiliate decided not to air the episode so soon after the event.
