Continuity mistake: When Ulysses S. "Griffin" is chugging beer with Robert E. Lee, Ulysses wins. When he says "How's that Robert E. Lee," he puts the beer glass on his head. Continuity mistake: After Mayor West enjoys eating the taffy, when it cuts to the Griffin family standing on their lawn, the post-mounted mailbox is placed on the right side of the front door's walkway, but then it switches to the left side of the walkway.
Continuity mistake: When Peter is singing, he stops and starts dancing. Mr weed is directly behind him, then in the next shot of other people dancing, he is with them, then in the next shot he is behind Peter again. (00:11:35)

Continuity mistake: While Peter is with Mayor West at Town Hall, when Peter winds up in the trap door, the doorknob on West's office door changes sides (so the door opens the opposite way) and the plant moves away from the corner.
Continuity mistake: When Peter's great-great uncle, Ulysses S. Griffin, is with Robert E. Lee, all the Confederate soldiers have their straps over their left shoulders, but in the closeup two soldiers have their straps over their right shoulders.

Answer: Lacey Chabert was the actress who originally voiced Meg in early episodes. She left of her own accord due to being in school and other acting work; Seth MacFarlane has stated there was no tension with her leaving, but it makes for a handy joke for the show.
