The Money - S8-E12

Continuity mistake: The exterior of the video store in the episode looks different from the interior. From the inside, we see a neon "open" sign on the window and other writing, and also no exit sign on the door, all of which is contrary to the outside view of the store. (00:09:25)

The Dealership - S9-E11

Continuity mistake: When George is at the window making a complaint, a cut reveals several inconsistencies. The man at the window has his arms in a higher position in the second shot (plus his facial expression is changed), the woman no longer has her hand up on the wall, and George's left hand is suddenly resting on the table. The Abstinence - S8-E9

Continuity mistake: After George and Jerry discuss the fact that George will never have sex again, they stand up to leave the coffee shop and George places a large book under his arm. In the very next shot, he is holding the book in both his hands.

JAGwire

The Hot Tub - S7-E5

Plot hole: When Elaine is searching for Jean Paul in the streets, one of her verbal flashbacks is of Jean Paul saying, "I trust Elaine, she is my friend." However, Jean Paul made this remark to Jerry, and Elaine was not there to hear it. How could she have a flashback of it?

Kramer: It's a write off for them.
Jerry: Write it off what?
Kramer: They just write it off.
Jerry: You don't even know what a write off is, do you?
Kramer: Do you?
Jerry: No, I don't.
Kramer. Well they do, and they're the ones writing it off.
Jerry: I wish I had the last 20 seconds of my life back.

Answer: Composer Jonathan Wolff used a synthesizer, although in seasons 7-9, a real bass is used in addition. Wolff also recorded himself making hundreds of mouth noises, pops, and slaps to add to the synthesized bass licks so that each episode has a different theme. The only real "back-story" is Jerry Seinfeld was having trouble coming up with a theme song and talked to a friend who happened to know Wolff. They wanted to avoid that cheesy late 80's sit-com theme song and Wolff came up with what we enjoy now. Jonathan Wolff has also talked about this further in interviews, recently Reed Dunela interviewed him, so for a fuller account of his story; check out "The Wolff of 116th street".
