41 corrected entries in season 10

(114 votes)

Correction: It is possible that one baby was behind the other and couldn't be seen by the sonogram, this happens very commonly.

JCT05

Correction: Yes, you're supposed to switch mobile phones off, but it's entirely possible to forget.

Ronnie Bischof

Correction: It is likely that whatever airline that was that listed the price, lists it as Fort Worth, and not Dallas-Fort Worth. (I have seen airlines do this)

Correction: The empty glass seen in the sideways shot is the one in front of Chandler; it remains empty in both front & side shots. Monica's glass is behind & partly obscured by it in the side shot.

Correction: The empty cup is from the place setting beside Chandler, at the end of the table. Both Monica and Chandler's glasses remain half full in each shot.

Correction: Perhaps that is the reason, but it is not a mistake within the context of the scene that he would put coats in her lap. Therefore it's trivia at best, but not a mistake.

The One With The Cake - S10-E4

Corrected entry: When Joey tries to get Ross' parents to share their birthday gift for Emma with him, Ross' father says: "Which one are you?" As well as having met him many times before, the only other options of who he could be is Ross, his own son or Chandler, his daughter's husband.

Correction: Certainly not a movie mistake to have a character forget who someone is. Some people are not good with names and faces.

The One With Phoebe's Wedding - S10-E12

Corrected entry: Isn't is strange how normally there is a busy street/road outside the coffee house, but during Phoebe's wedding ceremony, which we can see takes place directly outside it, it appears to be more like an open area of land? The wedding could never have taken place in the middle of a road (even if the roads were quiet because of the blizzard) but also the setting of her wedding is very dissimilar to the normal setting outside the coffee house.

Correction: It's already made clear that this is the worst blizzard for many years and the road outside Central Perk has never been the busiest so using the road is far from impossible. Secondly the view outside is unrecognisable both because we've never seen it from that angle and because it's covered in snow.

The One With Ross's Grant - S10-E6

Corrected entry: Monica seems shocked when she sees Gladys, as if she's never seen her before. However, if you carefully examine the flashback scene in Monica's apartment in TOW All The Resolutions, you can see Gladys hanging up in the apartment to the left of the door (from the camera). Therefore, Monica has already had Gladys in her apartment, and therefore would probably not be surprised that Phoebe has it.

Correction: She's shocked because she has seen her before and hoped to never see her again. That's clear from the rest of the story.

Correction: When Ross knows that he's in the wrong airport, the camera doesn't go back, and we can't see where the stage ends.

Correction: In other episodes, when the shower curtain is opened, you can see the window is on the back wall on the far side of the tub (which is not uncommon).

The Last One (2) - S10-E20

Corrected entry: In the episode The Last One (1), Joey said he sat on the baby welcome sign, but in the episode The Last One (2), when he is going to get something to open the football table, we can see the back side of his jeans and there is no red paint on them.

Correction: He's had plenty of time to change jeans.

The One Where Rachel's Sister Babysits - S10-E5

Corrected entry: When Joey uses the thesaurus to write his recommendation letter to the adoption agency, he signs the letter, "Baby Kangaroo Tribbiani." While certainly comic, and even though the word "joey" does mean "baby kangaroo," it does not come up in the MS Word thesaurus (and it was strongly suggested that they were using Word, as they referenced the thesaurus being under the Tools menu), nor does www.thesaurus.com correlate the two.

DavidK93

Correction: Most software has a Tools menu so it's not reasonable to assume that it could only be MS Word.

The One With Ross's Tan - S10-E3

Corrected entry: Why do Rachel and Joey have to ask Chandler what it was like for him and Monica going from "friends to...more than that," when Rachel already has first hand experience with that exact situation, with Ross? While Ross was always interested in Rachel, so never had a radical shift to cope with, Rachel only viewed Ross as a close friend until she found out his feelings.

DavidK93

Correction: It's true that Rachel already went through this experience as is mentioned earlier in the episode but she always knew Ross had a crush on her as she said in the very first episode. Rachel is just asking how it was for Chandler because things are working out very differently for her and Joey compared to her and Ross so she doesn't know which one is "normal". She's just asking for advice so I don't see any mistake.

The Last One (2) - S10-E20

Corrected entry: In the final episode, Monica and Chandler take home the twins almost immediately after Erica has them. No hospital in the United States would ever allow newborn babies to go home the day they are born. Even the most healthy babies are required to stay at least 24 hours at the hospital.

Correction: This isn't necessarily true. My friend gave birth at 8.30pm and went home with the baby at 11.30 that same night. She said you just need to ask to leave.

The One Where The Stripper Cries - S10-E11

Corrected entry: Fair enough that in TOW The Flashback Rachel doesn't remember Chandler if she had just met him at the Geller's Thanksgiving years ago, but this episode reveals she was at a party with him and even kissed him. Ok, she was drunk when she kissed him but she would still remember the party, and surely she'd remember the guy who was the reason her friend Monica lost all that weight.

Correction: (This is really just emphasising that when Rachel was younger she was selfish and obsessed with herself and she didn't really notice other people around her. When she was in high school (The One Where The Stripper Cries) she was the pretty cheerleader who didn't care about anyone else and when she was with Barry in The One With The Flashback she was still very rich and snobby and wouldn't have - or at least would pretend not to - remember Chandler.)

Correction: This is false. The actual Statue of Liberty remains closed until further notice. However the grounds of Liberty Island, where Lady Liberty is located, is still open to the public, which is accessible by Ferry.

Correction: I think it has already been established that what happens on the show doesn't necessarily occur in the same month when it airs. For instance, the episode when Rachel gave birth aired in May but the same day is portrayed in the next season premier in September.

The One Where Joey Speaks French - S10-E13

Corrected entry: In 3-7 Phoebe mentions that she can't say "croissants" and then does so perfectly. In this episode she is fluent. She had mentioned in yet another episode that she learned it while living on the streets and met friends behind a dumpster to learn it, so it's not she learned between episodes.

MovieFan612

Correction: The whole joke is that she can say it but thought she couldn't. She doesn't say it in the context of not being able to speak French.

Correction: "The One Where Rachel Tells..." is in Season 8. There's been enough time between seasons 8 and 10 for Monica and Chandler to make another spare key and give it to Rachel.

Correction: It's not that strange that someone would be in on Thanksgiving. In one episode Chandler and the people in his office had to work on Christmas eve and New Year's eve, so why couldn't the adoption office have someone there on Thanksgiving?

littlestar

Or the person could have been making a call from their own home if they brought Chandler and Monica's info home with them.

Kathy: So, what did you do today?
Chandler: Well, I had an appointment to get my hair cut...
Kathy: Oh, it looks great!
Chandler: ...and then it got cancelled.

Trivia: Matthew Perry's wit is so legendary that the scriptwriters have often incorporated his gags into the show.

The One With The Jellyfish - S4-E1

Question: When Ross and Rachel are fighting, Chandler hides behind the door and bursts out saying, "I knew it!" When Rachel says, "It's not that common, it doesn't happen to every guy, and it is a big deal!" is this just a Chandler moment or is there another joke I have missed?

Answer: The statements that she's contradicting (that it is common, it happens to every guy, and it's not a big deal), are the things that a woman commonly says to a man who is suffering from erectile difficulty, typically to assuage his bruised ego. However, most men do not believe that these statements are true, as evidenced by Chandler's outburst. He's so caught up in the proof that women are lying about it that he gives himself away.
