King Kong (2005)

Factual error: Q says the golden bullets are caliber 4.2mm. When we see them they are much larger - more like 9-10mm. 4.2mm is like a pellet from an air pistol.

Kingdom of Heaven (2005)

Factual error: Before the battle of Kerak we see the city with snow capped mountains in the background. There are no mountains that high visible from Kerak.

Factual error: When flying from Nepal to Egypt Indy passes over Arabia. The state of Jordan is shown, but in 1935 Jordan was called The Emirate of Transjordan.

Factual error: When inside the Oval Office, we look out through the windows to the left of the desk (towards the East) and see bushes and trees right outside the windows. But on that side of the oval office there is a covered patio with columns, and it is quite dark.

Top Gun (1986)

Suggested correction: Not even Iran? Yemen?

No. Territorial waters don't extend all that far off the coast, and the water nearer those countries is the Gulf of Oman / Gulf of Aden / Arabian Sea, and wouldn't be referred to as the Indian Ocean.

Octopussy (1983)

Factual error: When riding in the truck with the Cuban soldiers Bond pulls their parachutes. In the next clip they are 5-6 meters up in the air. That is impossible. First, parachutes are not shot out, but merely pulled by the passing air. And the truck does not go fast enough to pull the parachutes. Second, even if the truck went fast enough, the soldiers would be pulled horizontally - and just fall off the truck, not get pulled vertically up in the air.

Basic Instinct (1992)

Factual error: The light reflections at Tremell's beach house are not the ones an ocean would make. The reflections are from large flat areas of almost calm water - like in basins - but there are none around.

Basic Instinct (1992)

Factual error: The road where the cops drive on their way back from the beach - where we see San Francisco in the background - is a dead end. It does not lead to Stinson Beach.

Thunderball (1965)

Factual error: Before the final fight when the soldiers parachute down, they are spread out over a long stretch of water (up to 1 km, it seems). It would take them a long time to swim together (and none of them are wearing the underwater jet as Bond is). Nevertheless they are all in one group minutes later.

Thunderball (1965)

Factual error: After the photo dive at Disco Volante, where Bond's air tanks are hit, he takes them off and leave them in the water. There is no air filled BCD attached to the tanks (which are quite heavy) but they float anyway.

Thunderball (1965)

Factual error: When Largo's henchman is hiding in Bond's shower, Bond turns on the hot water which scalds the villan. But scalding hot water is never the first which comes out of the hot faucet.

Prison Break (2005)

Season 2 generally

Factual error: Michael and Lincoln are seen in the morning at 9 am in Montana (between Great Falls and Helena). Later in the show, the next day at 12.50 am, they are trying to meet with Sarah in Akron Ohio. That is a 33-hour drive from Helena.

Prison Break (2005)

Bolshoi Booze - S2-E11

Factual error: Linc arrives at the 'Bolshoi Booze' location at 17:45. It is an 8 hour drive from Trinidad Colorado to that location, which is right on the Texas - New Mexico border. That means that they would have had to have left at 09:45 that morning. But they don't appear to have stayed a night at Linc's father's place - and in none of the other plot lines has it been night. They couldn't have covered that ground in the time span of the plot.

Factual error: When Luther is in the helicopter in the final scene on his way to Nyah he says 'distance 2K' when he is over central Sydney. Nyah is at the coast, which is approximately 15 km from Sydney center.

Octopussy (1983)

Factual error: Udaipur where the floating palace is located is 350km from Agra, so Bond wouldn't be passing Taj Mahal upon landing in the helicopter.

Evan Almighty (2007)

Factual error: The Ark ends up below the stairs of the Capitol, but seconds before it sets right outside the window of the committee meeting room. Those are not below the stairs.

Evan Almighty (2007)

Factual error: In the final scene where Congress is supposedly passing the bill, they are still in the committee room. Bills are not passed there, but in the actual meeting halls of the House and the Senate.

Jacob La Cour

Factual error: The ship on which Tom sails from Venice to Athens is shown from above at sunset. The sun is to the front left of the ship. That means that the ship must have been sailing West, which is hard (and weird) to do on that route.

Twelve Monkeys (1995)

Factual error: The bullet removed from Cole's leg is totally undamaged. Even a full metal jacket bullet will be squashed when it hits a person's leg (and stops inside the leg).
