This is obvious as its higher, whereas if were in drive, it would be lower. Even during the most intense moments, the RPMs never change. The car is obviously being towed by a camera vehicle.

Revealing mistake: During one of the chase scenes, an SUV hits a rock barrier and flips over landing on its top. The car spins around, and we see that it is empty. The driver then climbs out as if he was just in the vehicle.

You see the machine still working at a regular interval because a rope is pulling it. The shot pans to the left a touch and the rope stops moving, as if the person pulling it realises it's no longer in the shot.
