Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: Rosie is killed when a flying piece of glass hits her in the face. Later on when you see her on the stretcher, you can see both sides of her face for a moment, and there is no blood or any type of cut on her face.

Correction: The glass actually slices her neck and that's how she dies. The only reason her face is involved is we see her reflection in the glass as it flies towards her.

Corrected entry: Somebody, I think the US president, says that a part of Florida has been flooded but when we get a view from space at the end of the film, Florida is intact.

Dr Wilson

Correction: The only time that Florida is mentioned is when Jack is asked where people should evacuate to. He replies saying "parts of Florida that have not flooded"

Correction: Most likely there was some unsubstantiated information where there may have been some flooding in Florida but the waters receded quickly and there wasn't the devastation that occurred further north.

Corrected entry: In the closing scenes we see rescue helicopters, including Chinooks, flying into Manhattan to pick up the survivors. These came from Mexico? That's an epic journey for these helicopters - at less than 200mph - and they'd need refueling several times along the way, which seems equally unlikely given that most of the US is now iced up.

Correction: At the end of the movie when one of the astronauts in the space station comments how clear the air looks and we get a view of the United States, we can see that most of the upper portion of the country is snowed in while the southern part is snow free. The helicopters that were probably used were a UH-60 series Blackhawk helicopter and Ch-47D Chinook that is more durable and able to take on harsh weather conditions. Both have air refueling capabilities and since there are military bases that dot along the southern part of the country, there is a possibility of a KC-130 Hercules or another military refueling plane that could provide them with the fuel they need to get to New York and back.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Mrs. Lisbon is forcing Lux to burn her rock records, the room is not filled with smoke, but when Mrs. Lisbon opens the front door to throw the remaining records in the trash, smoke pours out of the door.

Correction: Just before Mrs. Lisbon takes the rest of the records out to the trash, Lux throws a record into the fire (I think it was KISS) and the room then starts to fill with smoke. Along with the other records that were also put on the fire previously it is very possible by the time Mrs. Lisbon took out the trash the room would be filled with that toxic smoke.

Corrected entry: When Bea escapes from the buried coffin, she's seen wriggling out of her boots to free herself from her feet being tied up, leaving her only wearing socks. Later, she's seen totally barefoot walking across the desert. What happened to her socks?

Correction: The socks could have come off by themselves when she was ascending through all that dirt.

Phoenix

Correction: No he knocks the front bumper off and creates a huge dent in the front end of the car but the hood stays on the entire time.

Shattered Glass (2003)

Corrected entry: New Republic editor Chuck Lane suspends reporter Stephen Glass from his job for two months for misconduct. Shortly after we see Stephen's co-worker Caitlin sending an e-mail to a friend lamenting that Stephen has been suspended from his job for "two years".

Correction: The suspension for two months was a "suggestion" from another character, not Chuck, in order to not create too much turmoil in the office because most of the staff looked favorably on Stephen.

Almost Famous (2000)

Corrected entry: In the scene where the plane is going down and everyone is confessing, one guy admits that he is "gay". This is a term that didn't come into regular usage and certainly wasn't known by the straight community until the late 70s at the earliest.

Correction: Although the word did not come into regular usage people still knew what you meant, even straight people.

28 Days Later (2002)

Corrected entry: On top of the tower block, several of the plastic containers are washing baskets with holes in the sides. If it did rain, they wouldn't hold any water anyway. It was a waste of time collecting them and carrying them to the top. Water's important, but in the middle of central London there'd be literally millions of more suitable containers. (00:40:40)

jle

Correction: But Frank and Hannah would be afraid to leave the safety of the barricaded tower block - all those containers came from the other apartments, and I guess they decided that even the little pool that would collect at the bottom of the baskets with holes would be better than nothing.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: When someone adopts a pet, the dog's birthdate is given in the accompanying papers which also lists the shots, when they were given, and if the pet is spayed or neutered. Even though Homer picks up Santa's Little Helper at the race track, the owners have to know how old their dogs are in order to see how long they can race (over their lifespan), and when they need to administer shots and any other medications to the dogs.
