Tombstone (1993)

Corrected entry: When the Earps arrive in Tombstone, they are greeted by Sheriff Johnny Behan. The actual date of Wyatt's arrival is December 1, 1879. Johnny Behan didn't move to Tombstone until September of 1880 and wasn't elected Sheriff until the latter part of 1880 or early part of 1881.

Correction: Several of the chronological events are compressed or switched around - including Behan's arrival, Josie's arrival, the attacks on the Earps after the famous 'corral' gunfight (which took place over a several-month period). All of this was obviously done to tell the story in a seamless and coherent manner. The movie is "based on true events"; it never represents itself to be the end-all-and-be-all historical account.

Out of Africa (1985)

Corrected entry: At the New Years Eve party Denys grabs Karen's hand and pulls her to the dance floor. In her other hand is a glass of champagne which spills out of the glass. On the dance floor Karen puts a full champagne glass to her mouth and takes a sip.

Correction: The glass is not full when she takes a sip while they are on the dance floor. There is less than half a glass of champagne, enough to allow for the bit that sloshed out.

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: In the scene in the garage when Edward is trying to get Bella away from James, Edward tosses Bella's jacket to Rosalie. The first shot, Rosalie is sitting on the counter next to where Carlise is taking things from a cabinet. On the wider shot, Rosalie is standing without allowing enough time to for her to have changed positions.

stareide

Correction: The whole moving extremely fast issue has been addressed here many times. These vampires move with such inhuman speed, it cannot be seen. The whole family is on alert and is getting ready to flee. Everyone except Edward and Bella moves significantly during this scene.

Out of Africa (1985)

Corrected entry: In a scene in the house, which appears to be a split level, with steps going both to the right and left to reach the lower level; there is what is unmistakably a round Honeywell thermostat on the wall. Kenya is relatively temperate in climate with highs in the warmest regions in the mid 80's. Climate control would not be a big problem. Clearly, at the turn of the century in Keyna, Honeywell thermostats were, if anything, only a concept in someone's mind.

Correction: First, this story occurs over a 17-year period in Isak Dineson's life - from 1919 through 1936, so not "turn of the century". Secondly, the thermostat shown is indeed an early model and Honeywell thermostats were first used in 1924.

Open Season (2006)

Corrected entry: When Boog and Elliot are raiding the convenience store, there is a shot of Elliot with his head inside a gumball machine. There's no room for his one good antler so the animators just "dead ended" it.

Correction: Wrong - the antler is there, inside the gumball machine - in its entirety.

Out of Africa (1985)

Corrected entry: During an early scene Karen is shooting pheasant with a shotgun. There is a shot of her with the shotgun to her shoulder firing a shot which produces no recoil. The shotgun, most probably a 12 gauge has substantial recoil which would be readily noticeable.

Correction: Done properly, handling the recoil from a shotgun is minimized to prevent injury and discomfort. Karen was an accomplished hunter and knew how to handle guns. And she does show a bit of recoil in this scene.

Open Season (2006)

Corrected entry: When Boog is in the hunter's house, the hunter returns, and Boog needs to hide. When he ducks under the table you see the hunter right already next to the table in the next immediate shot with no time to get there. It is implied that the hunter didn't see Boog, but he can't be where he is standing in that shot without having seen the bear duck under the table.

Correction: It's a stormy night and the only illumination in the cabin comes from a bathroom light. It's expected that a dark brown bear would be perceived as a shadow, especially since Shaw expects to be alone and is distracted.

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: In the ballet studio, when James pulls out the video camera for the first time and James and Bella are talking, when Bella says, "Edward has nothing to do with this," right before that her mouth moves, but she isn't saying anything.

Correction: The audio matches her words. The mouth movement prior to that line was her mouth stammering from her terror at being confronted by James. This isn't a mistake.

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: When Edward is talking under the trees in the rain (getting very wet, then totally dry), he also manages to changes clothes in between. In the rain he is wearing exactly the same outfit as in the scene when he jumps down on the car that Bella is washing (when the blue bucket disappears), and then he is back in the grey jacket and dark shirt.

hende

Correction: Corrected twice already - this is a compilation of several days and several scenes, hence the change in clothing.

Brenda Elzin

Corrected entry: This movie takes place in New Jersey. All of the cop cars in the movie had "blue" light bars. New Jersey uses "red" light bars for police/law enforcement, not blue.

Correction: Not true. Various NJ law enforcement agencies use a combination of red/blue, just red or just blue light bars. It depends on the agency. And since this movie includes local, state and S.W.A.T. officers, this is not a mistake.

Correction: This is not trivia - it's just obvious observations from watching the movie.

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: During the baseball scene, Rosalie slides into home and Bella calls her out. The next frame shows Emmett saying "Out!" but he makes the gesture for safe.

Correction: So? He was goofing? He was confused on the signs? Not a real mistake - just a character's quirk and mistake.

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: When they drive up to the baseball field, they are facing the field when they park, but when they get in to leave, the jeep is already turned around.

Correction: When they arrived at the field, the Jeep was pulled so close to the field, it was practically on it. It was moved prior to beginning the game and, apparently, turned around.

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: In the book, before the baseball scene, Edward parks Emmett's jeep outside of the forest and they run the rest of the way so that when the Nomads turn up, there is no time to run back to the car. In the movie, they park the jeep in the same field on which they play baseball, which they would be able to reach easily in a few seconds. Carlisle says there's no time, when really there is time to get back to the car.

Correction: Once again, because the vampires moves so extremely fast, once the Nomadics know of the Cullens' group, it's too late to flee. Not a mistake.

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: In the baseball scene when James realises Bella is a human and the Nomadics and Cullens run into a defensive group stance, Edward is located at the bottom left of the shot. When the camera changes angle he is now at the back of the group.

Correction: The Cullens, as vampires, move extremely fast. Edward moved again to be closer to Bella. Not a mistake.

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: When Bella is in the hospital talking to her mom, the T.V. behind her is playing in the background. The Cullens told her mom and dad that she fell down stairs, but in the T.V. behind her, you can see the fire and the Cullens ripping James up and throwing him in there, and you can see Bella pulling the glass out of her leg and you can see Edward really flying into the window. (02:04:05)

Correction: This is not a mistake - it's how the scene is supposed to present itself (and how the book was written, deliberately). Mom doesn't want to know too many details and believes the Cullens because they are so charismatic and convincingly "sold" mom on the stairs story. Mom just wants to know Bella will be ok.

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: In the "edible art" scene where the Twilight book cover is depicted, as Bella and Edward move around the salad bar, the clock on the wall in the background reads 7 o'clock when it is lunchtime.

Correction: The clock did not change during the scene, which means it was broken, which means this is not a mistake.

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: When James is tracking Bella, Edward tells Rosalie to rub the tree with Bella's coat. But then when Edward says, 'He's figured it out', Rosalie does not have Bella's coat on.

Correction: They had been running for quite a while by the time Edward knows James has figured out their diversion -- plenty of time for Rosalie to remove the jacket, which she was carrying at that point.

The Incredibles (2004)

Corrected entry: If the US government spends so many hundreds of thousands of dollars (as Rick Dicker states) in protecting Mr. Incredible's identity, then wouldn't anybody care about the fact that there's an entire room devoted to Mr. Incredible? I mean, if it was just memorabilia, that would be one thing, but pictures? With a guy who looks exactly like said superhero in the same house? I think people would get suspicious. Not to mention the fact that the government let Bob Parr keep his suit. Any slightly nosy neighbor could figure it out; wouldn't the US government?

Correction: Why on earth would anyone else have to know the room existed? Do you let your neighbors into your house, alone and unsupervised, to roam through every room in your house? Of course not. It's a memorabilia room, plain and simple. Like a collector would have.
