Forrest Gump (1994)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Forrest "rescues" Jenny from the "assault" by the college student in the car, 1) Jenny gets out of the car too quickly considering her earlier, rather peculiar position, 2) when she gets through the right door she doesn't seem to open it - she just appears on the side of the car, 3) which would explain that the door doesn't get closed when the boy drives off in a huff. (00:29:15)

NancyFelix

Correction: (1) Jenny wasn't in an awkward position; her date was; (2) huh?; (3) so what? older cars had heavy doors; it closed as he drove off.

Forrest Gump (1994)

Corrected entry: When Mrs. Gump is reading to Forrest towards the beginning, she turns the page when she's interrupted by Forrests question. Then when she continues, she flips the page again to start where she left off. (00:09:45)

Correction: She was just startled and disturbed by his question and absentmindedly turned another page. Not a mistake.

Forrest Gump (1994)

Correction: It's a slow-motion scene and it's purposely duplicated to get the desired effect that this is a monumental moment for Forrest.

Happy Feet (2006)

Corrected entry: Throughout the movie, the patting of the feet is out of time to the feet themselves.

Correction: The tapping feet are NOT out of time. Watch a tap dancer and you'll know that they use both the front (toes/ball) and back (heel) while dancing. This is the major premise of the whole film - the filmmakers made certain to get this right.

Nim's Island (2008)

Corrected entry: Nim tells Alexandra that her island is located 162W, 20S in the south Asiatic Sea. There is no such sea. If her father had told her the location, he would have known that 162W, 20S places the island in the Coral Sea, slightly west of New Caledonia.

Correction: This is not a mistake - the whole point was that they lived on an uncharted island.

The Hours (2002)

Corrected entry: When Laura comes to pick up Richie from Mrs. Latch's we see him standing at the window, shouting "Mommy. Mommy.", with both hands touching the glass at the same level. When the old Richard remembers the scene a bit later into the movie, Richie has one hand high up and the other one down, while his voice sounds the same. (01:25:25)

NancyFelix

Correction: One of the scenes is Laura's recollection, the other is Richard's. It's likely they will be slightly different.

Tombstone (1993)

Corrected entry: Doc has 2 pistols. He alternates rapid firing with standard gunslinging. Although he never reloads, he has one shell for the last guy.

Correction: What point during the movie are you referring to?

Tombstone (1993)

Corrected entry: After the O.K. Corral shootout, the Cowboys get revenge on the Earps by shooting Virgil and Morgan Earp on the same night. In reality, though, Virgil was shot in December of 1881, while Morgan was shot in March of 1882, a span of a few months.

Correction: This isn't a "mistake" - movies are often written in such a way as to move the action along. This is called literary license.

Tombstone (1993)

Corrected entry: At the very beginning of the OK Corral gunfight when the Cowboys are positioning themselves as the Earps and Holliday approach, they show one additional Cowboy to Billy Claiborne's right who is not shown again for the remainder of the gunfight.

Correction: That's because that Cowboy left (like Ike did).

Corrected entry: Clint Eastwood places his film stock in the refrigerator 39 minutes in. The film rolls come in shrink-wrapped cases - technology not used in the 50's.

Correction: The love affair is set in 1965, not the "50's"
