The Fog (1980)

Corrected entry: When it shows the fog rolling over the hill, there is some fog on the right side coming out of thin air.

Correction: Where else is fog supposed to come from?

Brian C Friesner

Let's not forget the several scenes we had witnessed before and after of fog appearing out of nowhere, cutting off the main characters' escape, resulting in them being directed to the church. Fog appears 'out of nowhere' because that's how fog works.

The Fog (1980)

Question: I was wondering if there was supposed to be any connection between the six original conspirators and the victims one hundred years later? Obviously Father Malone was a direct descendant of one of the conspirators, but what about the other five? I thought maybe it was about roles, like a priest, three fishermen, a weather man and an old lady, maybe? Or was it just any six people who had to die? That doesn't seem to make sense because the zombies were going to kill Stevie and her son and the people at the church. Maybe they would have stopped after six were dead, I don't know. I also doubt that the six who died were all relatives of the six conspirators, what are the odds of the three fishermen all being relatives of the conspirators and being on the same boat? Anybody got any ideas?

Charles Fraser

Chosen answer: From what I've gathered from listening to the DVD commentary there is no connection between the six that must die and the original conspirators (Father Malone aside). I've always found it quite silly that fog, which is seen roaring down the streets of town, seems hell bent on getting the main charaters and not bothering anybody else in the town.

If one reads the novelization of the film, it's revealed that the six were descendants of the original six conspirators. Although it wouldn't apply to the movie, it's an interesting plot point.

Halloween II (1981)

Corrected entry: When Laurie is put in the ambulance, her feet are uncovered. When she arrives at the hospital, her feet are covered up.

Correction: We only see a few seconds of the ambulance ride. Laurie's feet could have been covered at any point during the trip to the hospital.

Exactly. It only takes a couple of seconds for Laurie to say that her feet might have been cold and an attendant would have covered them up for her before they got to the hospital.

Corrected entry: The main character from the "Wicked Prayer" comic book was changed from a woman to a man for this adaptation.

Correction: Although the first one to die in the novel version of 'Wicked Prayer' is a woman, the Crow is still a man by the name of Dan Cody. The only novel that contains a female Crow is 'the Crow: Clash By Night"

Actually, there is another female crow named Iris Shaw in The Crow: Flesh and Blood.

Family Guy (1999)

Correction: When Meg tells her mother she's dressed as a slutty cat, Meg is wearing her eyeglasses and pulls the cat mask down over her glasses, then she leaves the house. We see Meg is still wearing her glasses under her mask when Joe drives past her and her friends, right before they all enter the party.

Super Grover

Correction: Is it not possible that she may have had them in a pocket or somewhere and then put them on when she took the mask off?

dewinela

Her costume had no pockets. It showed her leaving the house without her glasses.

But it did show her leaving with her glasses on.

Some people wear regular clothes under a costume in the event that it might have been cold. Rhode Island might be a bit cold at that time of year (I live in southern Canada and it can be very cold on Halloween) Maybe her glasses were in a pocket under the costume.

dewinela

It seems like you didn't watch the scene before commenting and you're just guessing. She wasn't wearing normal clothes underneath and there were no pockets. The reason the mistake is incorrect is because, as stated, she is wearing them before she pulls her mask down and so she's wearing them under her mask when she leaves.

Halloween 2 (2009)

Continuity mistake: The Myers' house in this film is a different house than the house in part one.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: The house could have been remodeled.

It is implied that the house was unoccupied since the murder. So why would anyone want to remodel a Cape Cod style house that was in the first one into the huge house in this film? If you look at the interior, the house was definitely worse for wear, so it being remodeled is highly unlikely.

Correction: I've taken showers where all I've done is rinse off without getting my hair wet. Maybe that's all Alice wanted to do.

dewinela

Correction: When you are washing your face under the shower head your hair is going to get wet.

Why? It's easy to keep most of your hair dry while still washing your face by simply leaning your head back.

Jukka Nurmi

Thank you. Another way is to keep your head and face away from the sprayer, cup your hands, let water pool in them and splash them on your face. Point is, there are ways to take showers without getting your hair wet. My hair is longer than Alice's was in this movie and I can do it, so why wouldn't Alice be able to?

Halloween (1978)

Corrected entry: Where did Michael get the white sheet? I doubt he took the time to look for one and cut eye holes in it.

Correction: He'd been stalking around that house ever since Annie started babysitting, so he had plenty of time to learn where everything was. He might have even taken one out of the laundry room since it was in a separate building away from the main house. After he killed Bob, we're not given any indication how long it was before he went after Lynda, so he may have taken one from a linen closet in the house. It's doesn't require much a stretch to the imagination that he'd find a sheet in a house and use it to simulate a ghost, especially since it's Halloween night.

Correction: Also, take a closer look. He never cut any eye holes in it. He just put Bob's glasses over where his eyes would have been.

dewinela

There are holes in the sheet.

True. I missed that. The rest of the correction is still valid, though.

Friday the 13th (1980)

Corrected entry: When the truck driver drops off Annie, she starts walking down the road towards Crystal Lake. Yet we see the others in the red pickup drive down that same road and Annie is nowhere to be seen. It just happens to be Mrs Voorhees who picks her up.

Correction: Maybe they were already further along the road when Annie was dropped off at the crossroads, so they never crossed paths with her. Another possibility is that Mrs. Voorhees drove by first. It's a back road in the forest so it makes sense that Annie and the other counsellors never meet.

dewinela

Correction: Once again your personal opinion.

Personal opinion or not, it's a valid explanation and entirely plausible.

Point is, there are possible explanations, therefore the posted mistake is not correct.

Jeepers Creepers (2001)

Corrected entry: This huge demon monster flies around and is seen by at least 30 people, and the day after this demon kills all these people. Everyone just goes on with their daily life. Where the hell is the FBI and the National Guard, this thing just killed 10 people and there's no search the next day for this demon that killed about 5 police officers?

Correction: It takes time to mobilize the FBI and the National Guard, or anyone on that level. Perhaps they were on their way by the time the end of the film takes place. In fact, if you watch the third film, which starts right after the Creeper takes Derry in the first film there were lots of law enforcement officials inspecting the truck and searching for the Creeper, so it's not like they weren't informed.

dewinela

As for going about their business, well, life goes on. Things still need to be dealt with so perhaps they're dealing with things that need to be dealt with while still thinking about the events that occurred.

Corrected entry: How is Ali still alive at the end of the movie? Earlier in the film we see Jason chop him. And if he wasn't killed immediately, why was he in the barn the whole time? Makes no sense at all.

Correction: He didn't get hacked he got knocked unconscious with a wrench, that's why he got that wound on his head.

It wasn't a hammer. It's a knife. You can plainly see Jason chop his head and neck area 4 times. And since when does Jason just knock someone out? All through the series he kills people brutally.

Take a closer look. It's definitely not a knife, looks more like a wrench. Also, in the previous film, he fights with Paul, goes after Ginny, then Paul comes to the rescue. At this point in the series, Jason made mistakes and didn't always kill someone outright when he attacked. Shelly's death is a good example of that since he managed to make it to the house from the barn after Jason cut his throat. Perhaps he got more brutal as the series went on to be sure that anyone he attacked was dead.

The Karate Kid (1984)

Question: At the end of their date, Daniel and Ali run into some of her snobby friends who insult Daniel and drive off. Then Ali seems irritated at Daniel, but why? She's the one who is more laid back about their relationship and the fact that Daniel doesn't fit in with her friends. You'd think if anything she would try to reassure Daniel and say it's no big deal. So why is she mad at him, especially since he didn't say or do anything to make her so?

Krista

Chosen answer: She is irritated because he told her she could have gone with her friends if she wanted. I believe she got annoyed because Ali thought Daniel should have realized by now she wanted to be with him and didn't care what her friends thought.

weetie21

Also, you have to take a look at the snobby friends involved. Johnny and Dutch, two of Daniel's tormentors, were in the front seat and another one, Tommy, was in the backseat with two of Ali's friends who have always looked down on him. This came on the heels of another of Ali's snobby but nicer friends chatting with the two of them from a brand new sports car. Not to mention that at the start of the evening he met Ali's parents who made him uncomfortable. Although it is true that she would have been irritated with Daniel because he hadn't figured out that she didn't care what her friends or parents thought, he couldn't see past the fact that Johnny and his friends were part of her circle. He believed that she would look down on him and wouldn't be any different, which she picked up on, sparking her irritation when he told her she could have gone with them if she wanted to.
