But in the shot of the boat exploding right after they jump, there's no one in the perfectly calm water, and the empty rubber raft is still alongside the burning boat. Somehow, though, the escapees are rowing to safety in that same raft a few shots later. (00:03:20)

Continuity mistake: The bad-guy bellman knocks Mark out, then zips him face down into a garment bag. He then places the bag, without turning it, onto his luggage cart, and the outline of the body inside (a dummy, judging by how effortlessly he lifts it), is now facing up. (00:22:50)

Continuity mistake: Blake commandeers the kidnappers' motor home, gets behind the wheel and has to push aside a curtain obscuring the windshield. Then the camera view switches to an exterior shot of the RV driving away - and the curtain, which should still be bunched in the window corner as it was in the interior shot, has vanished altogether. Continuity mistake: McGarrett strong-arms Tommy-Tommy, the Hawaiian fence, on the beach, and the guy gets sand all over his face during their scuffle. When McGarrett pulls him to his feet, the sand is still there. But in the next shot, all but a small patch near his temple has disappeared. (00:32:40)

Continuity mistake: The professor translates the two Chinese symbols from Mundy's brass rubbing. Then he's shown a Chinese business card, and states that the 12 symbols on the card say the same thing. But not one of the symbols on the card matches the first two from the paper. (00:24:25)

Continuity mistake: McGarrett gets out of his car wearing a gray suit, and walks into Dennisen's office wearing a blue one. (00:20:15)

Continuity mistake: When the Bannister gang begins shooting at the house, the ladies abandon their breakfast to run and hide upstairs. There's a pitcher half full of milk on the table. But a few shots later, when one of the Bannisters bursts into the kitchen, the milk pitcher is empty, and the dishes are in different positions on the table. (01:23:55)

Continuity mistake: When Avon & Co. barnstorm the ruined lab, a large piece of plastic debris on the floor is there when they enter, but then disappears between takes. Avon actually slips on it coming in, and does a hilariously un-macho little balancing dance. To quote (and agree with) actor Paul Darrow: "I can't believe they left that in!" (00:45:00)

Continuity mistake: During his scuffle with Gino, Mundy's hair is messed up, then neatly combs itself, then is messy again, and so on several times between takes. (00:45:45)
