Continuity mistake: When Ed walks into the hotel's reception, he goes to pick up the boy and puts him in the green chair to the right of the screen, then when the camera cuts back to him after the hotel manager's line, he is doing the very same actions. (00:10:25)

Continuity mistake: When Ed breaks the limo window with a crowbar to get the phone from the actress, Ed runs and picks it up in his left hand, but in the next shot it is in his right. Also, when he smashes the window, there is a small piece of glass at the top and a very jagged bit left at the bottom from Ed's POV, when it cuts to inside the limo they are gone. He also reaches inside the car twice. (00:09:25)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning, just after Ed has hit the woman, he gets out to help and the husband is lying down next to her. When he says to Ed, "What have you done," his left hand is on Ed's jacket then puts it down to his wife, but in the next shot it is back tugging on Ed's jacket. (00:08:50)

Continuity mistake: When Fuller and Lewis are sitting in the car, when looking out Fuller's window there is no large mountain in the background, for several shots, then suddenly a big mountain appears in the background. (00:07:55)

On the housing's ledge there is a pot for nails, a measuring tape, a knife and a small pot behind the nail pot. A few shots later, the measuring tape and knife have both vanished. Continuity mistake: When Chozen hits Daniel in the stomach, on the bridge by the village, one of Chozen's friends kicks the drum under Daniel to the other side of him, but when the girl hurls the vegetable at Chozen, it is back where it originally was. Also, when the girl hurls the vegetable he looks over his shoulder to his left, yet in the closeup he is looking over his right shoulder. (00:55:25)

Continuity mistake: When Miyagi goes to see Sato at his house, at the opening of this scene, Miyagi and Sato's assistant walk rather close to Sato in one shot, but when it cuts to behind Sato, Miyagi and the assistant are much further away. (01:08:00)

Continuity mistake: At the end, when lots of people are dancing in the castle, it cuts to a man banging the drums and the music stops. Miyagi and his lady friend are standing in front of the fountain in the middle and Daniel is to the left of the screen, but in the following shot Miyagi and his friend are right in front of Daniel. Continuity mistake: When Daniel and Mr. Miyagi pull up in Mr. Miyagi's car at his house to start Daniel's training, it cuts to an overhead shot. Mr. Miyagi gets out and walks around the front of the car, and passes the front of the car. Yet in the following closeup he is passing the front of the car again. (00:51:00)
