Corrected entry: In the scene where C-3PO gets his head switched he gets on the conveyor belt. Before he gets on there is no room for him to get a different head. Then he gets on and there is a big space. Where did that come from?

Correction: Look again. As 3PO's body staggers onto the conveyor, it flails with its right arm, knocking one of the existing droids off the conveyor belt and leaving a space. You can hear a crashing sound as the droid falls off.

Corrected entry: In the beginning of the movie when Westley is chasing after Buttercup, everyone climbs up the cliff. But later the prince and his men are on horses, tracking the footsteps of the other. Horses can't climb cliffs.

Correction: Nor did these horses have to. Humperdinck and his men approached from a different route. They only started at the top of the Cliffs because Humperdinck, having orchestrated the kidnapping, knew exactly where to go.

Phil C.

Corrected entry: It's the scene where the mother is telling her kids to get on the horse. Towards the beginning of the scene there is a guy standing there holding the horse still but when the mother is putting her little kid on the horse, he disappears.

Correction: Frame-by-frame advance shows that the man holding the horse is still there just after the woman calls "Eothain. Eothain." Immediately after, Eothain climbs onto the horse, after which there would be no need for the man to remain. He would naturally have gotten out as quickly as possible.

Finding Nemo (2003)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Dory and Marlin are about to get squirted out of the whale, Dory tries to speak whale. Marlin gets angry and tells Dory that she can't speak whale. When he does this, he calls her Nemo instead of Dory.

Correction: This is not a film mistake, it's a story element and was deliberate on the part of the writers. The sentence is a word-for-word repetition of Marlin's chastising of Nemo earlier in the film. When Marlin realizes what he has said and what he has called Dory, he also realizes that he has been too hard on her (just as he was too hard on Nemo), and decides to trust her by letting go.

Corrected entry: After Elizabeth's dream scene, she gets up and opens the drawer of her bedside table to get the medallion out. She takes out a false bottom to reach it, and the real bottom holding the medallion is full of dust. It shouldn't be dusty with the fake one over it.

Correction: Unless the false bottom was absolutely 100 percent airtight (unlikely), dust would find a way to get in anyway. Ask any housekeeper who has to take care of seldom-used items in drawers.

Phil C.

Correction: Because Will's father originally GAVE him the medallion -- Will didn't take it from the hoard with the intention of keeping it. Captain Jack Sparrow, by contrast, couldn't resist taking one from the chest for himself (or does it deliberately to protect himself) and winds up under the influence of the curse because of it.

Corrected entry: Port Royal, Jamaica, is built on a low spit of sand south of Kingston Harbor, nowhere more than about ten feet above sea level. The movie set has it built atop hundred-foot basaltic cliffs.

Forrest Wilkinson

Correction: Even if the city IS meant to represent Port Royale, Jamaica, its look is not inaccurate. It is true that modern-day Port Royale is much different, but that is due to the earthquake of June 7, 1692 that destroyed the original Port Royale and sank it beneath the waves, altering the island's geography significantly. The time period of the movie is before the earthquake, when Port Royale was still a thriving buccaneer haven.

Dante's Peak (1997)

Corrected entry: The scene takes place near the end when Dalton and the Wandos are in the boat, after the volcano starts to erupt. The water is really acidic and is making the boat disintegrate. When Ruth jumps out of the boat it burns her flesh. Before this occurred and during the boat melting, there were bodies of fish floating all over the lake.

Correction: Is this suggesting that the acid would have dissolved all the fish entirely? All of the dead fish are seen to be partially or mostly eaten away by the acid as well. Even strong acids take a while to act, and since the volcanic activity has only been going on for a short time, it hasn't been long enough to dissolve everything in the lake.

Corrected entry: When Trinity is about to jump down with the keymaker to the bikes in the freeway scene, she is on the left side of the keymaker. When you see them in mid-air, she's suddenly to the right of him.

Correction: Trinity leaped forward and to the right. Because she made a stronger leap than the Keymaker, who is considerably less athletic, the first two shots show her rapidly passing him in mid-air. By the time the camera shifts to the low-angle shot, she is far enough out in front of him so that she actually appears to be to the right when they are seen from directly behind and from a low angle.

Corrected entry: In the freeway chase scene one of the twins is shooting at the Cadillac to his left. They are separated by one lane and the twin has a clear shot. Both cars then pull up to another car traveling in the middle lane and the twin's shot is blocked by this tan SUV. The twin decides to shot through the tan SUV and you see blood sprayed on the windshield. In the next shot you see all three cars from the front and the tan SUV flips over forward. There is now no blood on the SUV's front windshield.

Correction: There's no blood sprayed on the windshield at all. The red color on the windshield that you see in the shot from the side is visible even before the Twin fires. It's a reflection from the outside, which of course would not be visible from a different camera angle.

Corrected entry: During the entire time that Trinity and Morpheus are being shot at by the twin in the car, we never see him reload his gun, despite the fact that he fires about 350 shots at them from one clip. It can't be due to them being able to bend the rules of the matrix, as eventually he runs out of ammo, looks at the gun in disgust and ditches it.

Correction: Just because we never SEE him reload his gun doesn't mean that he didn't do it at all. There are any number of times when the camera cuts away from him; he could have been reloading during any of those.

The Terminator (1984)

Corrected entry: During the 1st few minutes of the film, the future shows a Flying HK travelling through the air, look closely at it and you can see it "clip" through a large piece of foreground.

Correction: This cannot be true for the simple reason that the HKs were done with small-scale models, not CGI.

Phil C.

Corrected entry: When Frank dials in the name SKELLHAM he presses the wrong numbers(he presses 9 when he should press 2 for A).

Correction: The name is "Skellum", not "Skellham". "Skellham" doesn't match what is written on the piece of paper where the clue is found, and it has too many letters for a 7-digit phone number. The number that Frank presses is an 8, which is correct for "U".

Phil C.

Corrected entry: In the Chateau where Neo fights the Merovingian's men, after the men shoot at Neo, only to have their bullets stopped, they all drop their guns. Throughout the rest of the scene, the guns are nowhere to be found.

Correction: Wrong. The tommy gun ends up near the edge of one of the black squares on the floor; another rifle ends up near the edge of the curl at the end of the left staircase; still another one ends up at the base of one of the statues; the others can be seen in several shots during the fight. Not a single one of them disappears.

Corrected entry: Right after Anakin rides off on his speeder bike we get to a scene with Obi Wan. When it starts you see Obi Wan just standing there, then he looks around, and then he starts walking. He must have started moving when the crew members said so.

han_solo_321

Correction: Obi-Wan is standing there looking at the entrance to the Geonosian building. He is obviously looking around the entrance to make sure it is safe for him to enter. Once he has decided to move on, he walks forward naturally. Nothing about his movement suggests that he is trying to act as if he was already walking forward. Further, he is in the shot for several seconds before he begins walking; if the crew was trying to show him already in motion, they would have told him to begin walking as soon as he was visible.

Phil C.

Corrected entry: There is no "West 101" - Highway 101 only runs North and South.

Correction: It's never specified which city/cities action takes place in within the Matrix. As such, it doesn't have to follow any specific highway naming conventions.

The Jackal (1997)

Corrected entry: Richard Gere shoots the camera of the Jackal's remote controlled cannon thereby ruining his aim, but before he fired, the Jackal had the gun perfectly aimed. After he lost the picture all he had to do was press the fire button, thereby disintigrating the first lady, and get away in the fallowing riot.

Correction: A bullet striking the camera would be enough to throw off the gun's aim slightly. Given the van's distance from where the First Lady is making her speech, the Jackal would not have known whether or not he was still aimed accurately. Yes, he could have pulled the trigger anyway, but given his previously shown perfectionism, it's likely that he would have held fire unless he was certain.

Equilibrium (2002)

Correction: It seems to be implied that quite a bit of time has passed between these two shots. If so, Preston could have easily returned to Evidentiary Storage and reacquired the photo to peruse it some more.

Pulp Fiction (1994)

Correction: The Wolf was not making a serious offer. He was already planning to take Raquel to breakfast and his one seat would have been filled by her. Also, during his time with them, the Wolf made comments towards Jules and Vincent that could be construed as teasing knowing that they couldn't do a thing about it because of the situation. It's possible that he already had the cab ride comment in mind when he made the offer as a prank and they fell for it.

Phil C.

Corrected entry: During the part just before the twin gets his arm caught in a door, Trinity and the keymaker are by the door, it cuts to Morpheus picking up a sword, then the twin in front of him solidifies. Trinity and the Keymaker go through the door with Morpheus now right behind them, and close it - Morpheus has somehow got past the twin with no problems and is in the car park with them.

Correction: We never see the Twin becoming solid -- we only see him coming up through the floor. Morpheus would have run through him before he came all the way out and went solid.
