Question: Exactly how did Van Helsing and Carl get out of Draculas' Castle? When Carl tried to back out shortly after arriving he just bounced off the wall, so how did they get out later?

Question: I know the story about how Andrew Lloyd Webber had planned to adapt his original musical to film with Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford in their original roles, but then Webber and Brightman divorced and things never panned out. But now after all these years, why didn't Joel Shumacher contact Sarah Brightman and/or Michael Crawford to do the film? It seems they were meant to play the leads. If I do recall, Michael Crawford had been contacted but declined. Can somebody shed some light?

Answer: She probably had already asked him (he had all of his material with him after all); she just hadn't yet specified *how* she wanted to be drawn.

Question: Why does Rose get Jack to draw her if she is only going to give it to Cal to make him angry?
Answer: You answered your own question. That is her only reason. She is showing Cal all that he will never get and that, obviously, someone else (of a lower class!) will.
Answer: The answer by Sereenie isn't totally wrong, but I think there is a bit more meaning. Cal is a wealthy, powerful, controlling man. By giving him the drawing, Rose is showing him that she deceived him. It's also a sign of her choosing a life with Jack instead of him. He is probably not used to being rejected by many women (due to his wealth and social status) – he does the rejecting. And it's especially insulting that Rose prefers an unstable life with Jack, a low-income drifter type.

Question: Can someone PLEASE explain the ending? The whole show was pretty confusing, particularly why everything disappeared at the end, why people lost their memories, etc.
Chosen answer: The show was originally planned to have a second season, but then it was dropped because of low ratings in Japan, thus the abrupt ending leaving everything unexplained and out in the open. Still, the show was so popular on TV in the US that The Cartoon Network decided to finance the production of the second season, which is right now coming out on DVD (I think the first three volumes are already out). This should end up tying everything nicely.

Question: If Rachel is already safe because she copied the tape, why does she still get all the symptoms that the other doomed victims do?
Answer: The main point to remember is, Samara wants to tell her story. Yes, by copying the tape, Rachel's s letting other people know of Samara's story, but the symptoms are probably still there as an extra mean for Samara to show her what she went through. I think this shows that the curse is in full effect for the whole time, and that the copying only prevents the final outcome.

Question: Why is it that they aren't allowed to bring any modern weapons into the past? The grenade didn't seem to be affected. A simple air gun with tranquilizer darts would be enough just for protection.
Answer: Because you can never know what kind of influence the discovery of such a thing by the local people would have on any of those involved. The grenade was not supposed to get sent back, but since it exploded, not enough pieces are left for local people to wonder about them if ever they find some. That would not be the case for a full weapon.

Question: What would happen if the people who watched the tape didn't answer the phone call and did not have an answering machine? Or if someone were to watch the video in a room or house with no phones. Would you still be killed in 7 days?
Answer: Noah never answered the call, it went to voicemail and was deleted, so you don't need to answer the call to be affected.
Chosen answer: Probably. The phone calls just make those last days more terrifying, and Samara can come out from any reflective surface. I don't think it would be possible to eliminate ALL reflective surfaces, just think about it: utensils, waxed floors, eyeglasses, anything metallic, even buttons.
Question: Why exactly do the pirates need Bootstrap Bill's blood to lift the curse? What is so special about his lifeblood that renders it capable of lifting a mythical curse that quite obviously predates him?
Answer: He took one coin from the treasure, thus he got cursed along with the other pirates who did. For the curse to be lifted, *all* of those who took a coin need 1) to give back their coin and 2) to give some of their own blood. Since Bootstrap's somewhere in the ocean's depths, tied to a cannon, the only way for the pirates to lift the curse is to find his coin and put it back, then find his son (which they know about and who is of the same blood as he) to make the blood sacrifice.

Question: Its an American film, set in America, with American kids in an American way of life...so why the HUGE Union Jack on the inside of Ferris' bedroom door? What's the significance with Britain?
Chosen answer: The British flag was a trendy item in the mid-80s. You had it on t-shirts, on pants, on all kinds of items, and kids would draw it on their sneakers (remember Converse's rubber toes? That was perfect to draw a British flag!) or on whatever they could draw on.
Answer: It's tribute to the Beatles. Ferris sang the Beatles version of "Twist and shout" at the parade.

Answer: It's his ear doctor. At the time, he was thinking of getting his big operation. The entymologist's name was Terri Miller.
