Revealing mistake: Sam takes the SIM card out of his phone so it can't be tracked, but when he takes the back off his phone, there's no battery, and the SIM card is just lying in the back not attached to anything! Same for Dean's - he takes the back off and the card just falls right out, not secured in any way as it would be in a real phone.

Revealing mistake: When Tracey looks at Nikki's dead body in the coffin (both played by Ali Larter) we can see Nikki's eyelids flicker.

Revealing mistake: Season 4, episode 21: "Dead Air". At the start, when Horatio looks at the call details, it very clearly reads "no sim card inserted" at the top of the screen. Quite hard for the accidental recipient of the call to have a working phone without a sim card...

Revealing mistake: During a flashback to the original hostage-taking, we see one hostage get shot and the camera pans to the wall behind him being riddled with bullets. Only problem is that the paper on the wall is bending outwards, caused by the squibs behind it, rather than being pushed inwards by the path of the bullets.

Revealing mistake: Towards the end when Harmony calls Perry's phone as she's lying on the ground, Harry grabs the phone and looks at the caller ID to see her name. Unfortunately that's not the display showing who's calling. Anyone who has a Nokia phone will recognise that that's showing the contact list with just two entries - Harmony and a random number. The fact that it says "contacts" at the top of the screen is a bit of a giveaway.

Revealing mistake: While Blade's dangling a familiar off the roof, the familiar's phone rings (a Nokia 5210). Blade looks at the screen and sees the doctor's name. However, the display we see is a Nokia phone book listing with only one entry, rather than the "incoming call" display.

Revealing mistake: After the demon throws Buffy into a wall, she crashes to the ground. As she backs away, you can see the blue crash mat she landed on in the bottom left of the screen. (00:33:55)

Revealing mistake: As Willow walks through the forest pursuing Warren, just after we first see Warren running, there's a shot of Willow walking into a bit of a clearing. Her shadow crosses a tree on the right (could be caused by the moon), but then a couple of seconds later another shadow is visible on a tree to the left - obviously an artificially lit forest. Revealing mistake: When Buffy sets the vampire alight, his face suddenly gets very shiny, showing the fireproof gel that was applied to the actor's skin. (00:37:20)

Revealing mistake: When all the vampires are saying "for the dark", and one gets staked, there's a mark on his shirt where the stake's about to come through before it actually happens. Plus Buffy's hands are in the wrong place for her to have pushed that stake through, as well as there being no stake in her hand when the vampire gets dusted. Not only that, but the mark isn't even close to the vampire's heart to begin with. (00:34:50)

Revealing mistake: At the very start, as Anck Su Namun walks towards the camera, you can see two circular plasters underneath her body paint, preventing her from becoming too exposed. (00:01:20)

Revealing mistake: The shot of the two nuclear missiles being launched is used twice, just reversed. They seem to have changed the saturation slightly in one of them to make it look different, but there are identical clouds at the top left/top right in both shots, ruining the trick.

Revealing mistake: As they make their escape from the club, DMX and Anthony Anderson jump on a box to climb over a dumpster. DMX steps on it with no problems, AA crushes it and can't climb over. A closer look shows that DMX stepped on the right (a reinforced bit) and AA steps on the left. However, the box only collapses on the left, rather than evenly, giving away where the support is. Revealing mistake: When the bad guys are shooting at Ace, he catches a bullet in his teeth. However, he goes from his lips being tightly shut to suddenly having the bullet in his teeth, obviously hiding the bullet in his mouth. (00:52:00)

Revealing mistake: When the killer surprises Sid after she's come in from outside and locked the door, he tries to stab her with his left hand, misses, and hits the door right next to the chain in closeup. In wide shot (very quick shot) when Sid legs it, look at the killer and you can see he's holding a very badly bent knife in his right hand, nowhere near the chain. (00:27:55)

Revealing mistake: When we first see the Porsche, there are smear marks on the bonnet from previous takes of Ross diving across it. (00:04:35)

Revealing mistake: Movie physics occasionally dictate random explosions, but this is too bizarre. Near the start, a cop car smashes through a caravan, and the caravan blows up. Fair enough, may have hit a gas cylinder or whatever. We see the cop car, practically undamaged, skid to a halt. Cut to a few reaction shots, then suddenly the cop car just blows up for absolutely no reason whatsoever. (00:02:25)

The One With The Giant Poking Device - S3-E8
Revealing mistake: The giant poking device is supposedly long enough to reach right across to the next building, but after they wake up Ugly Naked Guy, Joey says "retract the device!" and after pulling back about a foot of it the end suddenly pops up at the bottom of the screen. (00:20:25)

Revealing mistake: When Jill and Cynthia meet by the water towards the end, Jill produces her gun and is told to throw it in. As she's holding it you can see the base of the grip and there's no magazine in it - hardly the most effective weapon... (01:26:45)

Revealing mistake: When the swordmaker writes "Bill" on the window, take a close look. The window has been wiped before (as happens at the end of the scene) and "re-steamed" - you can see the outlines of the wiping from earlier takes, with a clear contrast between that pane and the others.
