Visible crew/equipment: After the first Alice clone dies in the movie and Dr. Issacs takes off his helmet, look at the scientist to HIS right(our left) you can see the boom operator in his reflective mask along with the camera operator. (00:04:50)

Other mistake: In the scene where Dr. Isaacs is in the teleconference with the Umbrella Board of Directors, there are several glasses of water sitting in front of each individual hologram. At the end of the teleconference, the holograms of the board members disappear, but none of the glasses follow suit. This tells us that the glasses of water were physically in the room with Dr. Isaacs, for absolutely no reason, given all the other attendees weren't really there. (00:17:40)

Continuity mistake: Alice exits from the gas station and gets on her bike to read the book she obtained inside the gas station. However we see her looking at a page with a picture and the word "Isolated" on it. When the camera changes and she is closing the book it's on a different page. She's not changed the page as it's audible when she does and the sound is missing. (00:20:15)

Revealing mistake: When the truck approaches the motel, tyre tracks are visible in the dirt exactly where the truck will drive. (00:21:50)

Ssiscool

Deliberate mistake: During the scene where Carlos and L.J. are searching the motel, L.J. sees a zombie which turns out to be a reflection in a wall-length mirror. L.J. shoots, breaking the mirror and realizing his mistake. But, if he had been standing in front of the mirror as shown, he should have seen his own reflection standing there as well. This was done as an homage to a similar encounter in the original game. (00:24:20)

Suggested correction: There are two mirrors. One of which is at angle and reflecting an area that LJ wasn't in. Hence why he turns around about 45° and gets attacked by the woman. As such, he's not going to see his reflection.

Continuity mistake: When Dr. Isaacs is injecting a zombie with his domestication serum, the head restraint on the zombie disappears. (00:26:10)

Suggested correction: The head restraint only disappears when the zombie is sat chained to a table. No longer in a full body restraint that it was in when it was injected.

Continuity mistake: When Dr.Isaacs is injecting a zombie with his domestication serum, he changes positions from being beside the zombie, to being on the opposite side of the table. (00:26:10)

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: When the zombie is injected he's in a full body restraint system. When Dr Issacs is across the table, some time has passed as the zombie is now sat at a table.

Visible crew/equipment: When Alice is walking in the desert after her bike brakes, the shadow and edge of some filming equipment can be seen in her reflective glasses. It can't be her shadow as that's seen behind her in other shots. (00:33:44)

Revealing mistake: We see LJ and the lady holding the glass windscreen of the bus to stop the birds from getting in. However it's clear to see the glass and birds are CGI as the hands appears to float on the glass. (00:37:20)

Trivia: When Alice's clone stops the lasergrid from killing the real Alice, there is a shot of the computer screen showing the disintegration of Isaacs, Dr. J. This is a reference to Jason Isaacs, who has a history of appearing in Paul W.S. Anderson movies. Anderson produced this movie, so the circle is complete.

Question: What was the point of the scientist releasing the clone Alices and then putting them through the test to have them killed? Did they explain this and I missed it or what?

SAZOO1975

Chosen answer: The reason that the cloned alices were put through the tests was their attempt to get a "perfect" clone of her. They knew that Alice was the key to taking back the zombie infestation, so they were trying to get the "perfect" clone. The perfect clone would have all of her memories and reactions, so they put the clones through that testing facility. If she made it out alive, then she was the perfect clone. If she didn't, then it was back to the drawing board.
