Rosemary's Baby

Continuity mistake: Their phone rings while Rosemary is straightening up the living room. Guy answers it and we see that the lamp shade on Rosemary's dresser has been changed. A few shots earlier we saw the same spot when she says "Tannis, anyone?" and the lamp shade was larger. (00:33:40)

????

Visible crew/equipment: Guy says, "Listen, I have to get out and walk around" after he gets the shocking phone call about Donald Baumgart. If you look closely at the left side of the screen against the wall you'll see the perfect moving shadow of a boom mike enlarged about twenty times because of it's proximity to a stage light. (00:35:05)

????

Continuity mistake: Rosemary doesn't like Minnie's mousse, she says it has a "chalky under taste" but Guy insists and shames her into eating it and the salt and pepper shaker which were previously in front of and in between the vase have now been moved behind and to the left of it. (00:40:30)

????

Continuity mistake: Rosemary and Guy are interrupted on their romantic evening together by Minnie Castevet knocking at the door. Guy gets up to answer it and we see his two glasses, the smaller one filled with wine and a larger one filled with water placed right next to the candle. Two shots later when he returns, the glass of wine has been moved to the right and the candle has been removed. (00:38:30)

????

Continuity mistake: Rosemary gets sick from the mousse and Guy brings her into the bedroom. Several things have been rearranged since the last time we saw it. The lamp on top of the shelf has been removed and we see a different lamp on the end table and the bed now has a head board behind it. (00:34:10 - 00:42:00)

????

Continuity mistake: Rosemary and Guy play Scrabble on a rainy day. They're sitting on the rug and Rosemary has both her hands touching the center of the red tile holder. In the next shot her hands are on the left of the tile holder. (01:00:05)

????

Deliberate mistake: Guy surprises Rosemary and tells her that maybe it's time that they can start having children. They have a romantic evening together (at least until the Castevet's show up) and there's a shot of the record player. A lot of time has gone by since Minnie and Laura-Louise paid Rosemary a visit and we saw the record player before, but everything is exactly the same, the yellow garbage pale in the kitchen, the shadows on the wall, and the same record playing on the record player. They obviously edited in the same shot from before. (00:30:25 - 00:37:30)

????

Continuity mistake: The cake that Minnie serves after dinner is cut into six pieces. Rosemary and Guy each get a large peace and Minnie also eats a large piece, but if you look at the cake dish half of it is untouched but there's still an extra large piece lying there. (00:27:20)

????

Continuity mistake: Guy is lying down on the sofa as Rosemary shows him the necklace with the tannis root inside. His right ankle is leaning over the edge of the sofa right next to the lamp. Two shots later Guy says, "Well if you took it you ought to wear it" and the lamp has been moved a foot to the left of his ankle. (00:32:50)

????

Continuity mistake: As Rosemary and Guy eat dinner with the Castevet's several yellow books in a pile in the bookshelf disappear as dinner progresses without anyone going near them. (00:26:45)

????

Continuity mistake: In the Castevet's apartment Rosemary asks Roman, "Do you come from Australia?" and the lighting has been changed as a shadow appears on the left arm of the couch next to Guy that wasn't there two shots ago. (00:25:20)

????

Continuity mistake: Minnie and her, "good friend, Laura-Louise" come to the door while Rosemary is reading a book on the sofa. Rosemary puts the book down on the sofa and when she returns it moves about a foot to the right of where it originally was placed. The pillow on the right of the sofa has also been moved. (00:31:05)

????

Continuity mistake: Rosemary puts a record on her turntable and we see a yellow garbage pail in front of a yellow high chair in the kitchen. After Minnie and Laura-Louise walk into the living room, Rosemary walks over to turn the record player off and we see that the yellow garbage pail is gone. (00:30:30)

????

Audio problem: As she straightens up the living room, Rosemary has a delayed reaction to the over-dub of the phone ringing as they get the shocking news about Donald Baumgart. (00:33:35)

????

Continuity mistake: Roman walks back to the bar after he spills the vodka blush on the carpet. There's a typewriter on a movable desk, to right of his easy chair, that has been moved since Rosemary and Guy walked into the apartment. The tip-off is the design on the carpet underneath the easy chair. (00:25:25)

????

Continuity mistake: Minnie asks, "Where are you folks from?" and we see the wall behind Rosemary and Guy is in shadow. No-one turned any lights on or off but, when they first sat down, the wall behind the couch was lit up. (00:25:45)

????

Continuity mistake: Rosemary and Guy eat dinner with the Castevets and, if you look closely, the candles on the dinner table 'melt' upward as the scene progresses. (00:26:40)

????

Continuity mistake: The building manager faces the spot in front of the closet where the secretary was as Rosemary says, "She moved it, it used to be there". In the next shot the building manager is facing them. (00:05:40)

????

Continuity mistake: The building manager says, "now this room, would make a lovely nursery" as Rosemary stares at him wide eyed. In the next shot she's staring at the ceiling. (00:04:25)

????

Continuity mistake: When the building manager opens the door to the apartment we see three lights down the hall, one lamp dead center and two nightlights one on the left and one on the right. In the next shot the nightlight on the right is turned off. Later when they walk out of the kitchen it's back on again. (00:03:55)

Trivia: The bystanders looking at the camera when Rosemary crosses the street were staring in disbelief as Mia Farrow actually wandered out into oncoming traffic! Polanski did not want to "stage" the scene, so she was literally risking her life.

Question: What is the name of the melody that Mia Farrow sings (La La La Laaaa, La La La Lalala La Laaaaa) at the beginning of the movie, as the title/credits are being displayed?

Shipper

Chosen answer: It doesn't have a specific title. It was a lullaby written for the film by Krzysztof Komeda. There's a few variations of the lullaby heard throughout the film, the opening credits version is listed as "Rosemary's Baby Main Theme - Vocal."
