Continuity mistake: The first day Clark Kent works in the Daily Planet, he sits by his desk and then a close-up shows Lois placing her hair behind her ear. In the next shot the hair has changed and is now is covering her ear.

Continuity mistake: The day young Clark Kent leaves his parents' home, there's a shot where mother is watching him from inside the house. The clouds and sky colour reflected on the glass is different to the one we see in the following angle.

Continuity mistake: After Jor-El places the green crystal on Khal-El pod, it keeps changing place.

Continuity mistake: After Superman gets soaked in Lex's pool he also gets his hair wet and messy, but when he flies up his hair is dry and combed and his clothes are dry.

Other mistake: At the time when Lois is on the train and sees Clark running alongside, she is about 8-10 years old. About 12 years later she is 30.

Continuity mistake: The blanket used by baby Kal El to get to earth is red, blue and gold. When he lands it's just red.

Deliberate mistake: At Lois' penthouse, before Superman says goodbye, the image is sharp and clear. Cuts to a close-up, and then check the next wide angle where he says goodnight and flies away: It's blurry and grainy because it's not live, but a screen with a previously shot scene to allow for the camera to turn left and, in a matter of seconds, no cuts at all, show Superman magically and quickly transformed into Clark Kent.

Continuity mistake: When Superman lifts the plane during the storm, after the pilot asks what's going on, the copilot glances at the window grabbing its side. From the opposite angle he is away, repeating all movements.

Revealing mistake: When Superman and Lois begin their flight from her apartment, a pair of wires suspending each of them are visible, especially on the Blu-ray.

Revealing mistake: All the footage of the missiles being launched is of a poor quality and grainy, which is inconsistent with the good quality of the rest of the shots, revealing that it's stock footage.

Revealing mistake: Superman has just saved Jimmy at the dam and is holding him in the air. Jimmy's fringe is standing up thanks to some hair fixer to achieve the effect of wind blowing (though it's a green screen effect). When Superman sets him on the floor his hair remains up giving away the trick, until the angle changes and it looks all combed and nice.

Continuity mistake: When Clark shows Perry a white paper with directions of where to send the payroll, the way he holds the paper differs between shots.

Continuity mistake: The first wide shot of Superman arriving at the broken railway shows no logs hanging. The close shots, and then on, do show logs.

Continuity mistake: When Lois exits the alley where Clark grabs the bullet, her hair is much shorter than when she entered.

Continuity mistake: When Superman arrives at the ditch by the railway, the gap is 3 times his length. In the next shot the gap has shrunk and now measures exactly Superman's height.
