Factual error: When Superman is turning back time by flying around the Earth, right before he starts orbiting the Earth is spinning way faster than it actually should be. If the Earth actually spun that fast, a day would pass by every 1.44 minutes.

Trivia: When discussing his grand plans, Lex Luthor makes a throw-away line and names a country to be blown up apparently at random. Not quite so random - it was changed in each country of release.
Question: Maybe I haven't watched this film properly, but I never got why the Krypton Council don't believe Jor-el when he says Krypton is going to explode. Why would they question someone as powerful as him, someone who was shown to be in charge of the punishment of Zod and Co.?
