Pulp Fiction

Continuity mistake: When Butch escapes on the chopper (Grace), the chopper appears to have a side draught type carburetor in front of the stock Harley Davison air filter. When he arrives back at the motel to pick up Fabienne, only the stock air filter is present.

Continuity mistake: When Vincent and Jules get to the bar where Marsellus and Butch are at, Jules is handed a bottle. Then the bartender says he heard that Vincent is taking Mia out and Jules haves a sip from the bottle and lowers it. When it cuts he lowers the bottle again. (00:23:50)

Mortug

Continuity mistake: In the pawn shop scene, the blood stain on Butch's shirt changes several times from shot to shot.

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, when the camera focuses on Yolanda, the closest car in the background is a moving yellow jeep. But the next car to pass by the window in the next shot is a large white delivery van.

Continuity mistake: When Vincent shoots Marvin in the face Vincent can be seen facing the windshield of the car, not aiming his gun at Marvin. In the following shot he is facing Marvin and turns to face the windshield again.

THGhost

Continuity mistake: At Jackrabbit Slims the red ketchup bottle on the diner table moves about five times between different shots. Sometimes it's behind Mia's milkshake, sometimes it's out on the table, right beside Mia. (00:41:25 - 00:44:45)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: After Mia has recovered from the overdose, Vincent carries her to her house. As they are walking in the small alley, the camera shows Vincent saying, "If Marcellus lives his whole life he doesn't need to know about this incident," and he opens his arms. In the next shot we can see Vincent from the back and he has his arms in a different position. (00:59:10)

Continuity mistake: When Butch is getting dressed in the motel room, Fabienne is sitting on bed telling him what she will order for breakfast. As she tells him, in a front shot of her, her right arm is down and her right hand is resting on her ankles. It then cuts to a behind shot of her and her head is now resting on her right hand. (01:20:45)

Hamster

Factual error: When Vincent shoots Marvin the bullet goes through Marvin's head and exits out the back of his skull with explosive force - enough to splatter "pieces of brain" all over the back of the car. If it exited with so much force the rear window of the car should have shattered from the bullet, but it doesn't even get chipped.

Continuity mistake: After telling Fabienne to hop onto the chopper, Butch grabs its handlebars. But in the next shot he grabs the handlebars again. (01:51:00)

Continuity mistake: After Butch crashes the car, he stumbles down the sidewalk with Marcellus staggering behind him. When the camera is directly behind Butch, cars are seen traveling down the street in the opposite direction. In the next shot, behind Marcellus and with Butch in the distance, the cars have disappeared.

Continuity mistake: After returning from Jackrabbit Slims, Vincent goes to the toliet and Mia puts on some music, then sits on the couch. In one closeup of Mia, she takes a cigarette and puts it in her mouth, and you can see she isn't wearing Vincent's grey jacket. Then when it cuts to a wider shot of her lighting the cigarette, the jacket has appeared on her. (00:50:25)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Mia gets injected with the adrenalin, she gets up screaming and Trudi gets up off the couch. When it cuts Trudi gets up off the couch again. (00:58:05)

Mortug

Continuity mistake: When Vincent and Jules are in Brett's room where the three men are eating hamburgers for breakfast, when Jules shoots the one on the lounge, there is a definite sound and the guy sustains the gunshot but there is no muzzle flash or recoil on Jules' .45. (00:18:45)

Continuity mistake: In the scene at the diner at the end of the movie, Vincent is cutting pancakes with the knife in his right hand, fork in the left. When he begins laughing at the "Arnold on Green Acres" comment, he puts his head down onto the back of his right hand which now has the fork, but he never switched utensils.

Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the movie in the coffee shop scene, we see Samuel L. Jackson holding up his wallet, waiting to deposit it into the bag, it is very apparent that there is no writing on this wallet, it is a fat, and barely able to stay folded, yet when Ringo is instructed to retrieve this wallet, the one he brings out is now the one that says "Bad Motherfu**er", it is very slim, and a darker brown.

Suggested correction: It's very obvious, that wallet actually has writing on it, and it can be seen very good in the exact moment, when Jules is taking it out from the pocket. The wallet is the same, only stuffed better.

Continuity mistake: When Mia has just snorted some cocaine in Jack Rabbit Slims' bathroom, she is rubbing her nose and says 'I said God damn' and she has little or no lipstick on, the shot changes and she is still rubbing her nose but her lips have gotten considerably darker red. (00:33:35)

Continuity mistake: When Lance gives the adrenalin syringe to Vincent, Vincent is holding his hands on Mia's chest. When it cuts to a close-up on Mia Vincent's hands has suddenly disappeared. (00:57:25)

Audio problem: After reviving Mia with an adrenaline shot, Vincent collapses onto the carpet. We can hear him say, "Oh man" but his lips are actually forming different words. (01:00:55)

ryguy_1983

Audio problem: The Philip Morris bellboy in Jack Rabbit Slim's does the famous "Call for Philip Morris." while walking away from the camera. When he turns to the side and does the call again, we can see that his mouth movement doesn't match the vocal.

Vincent: Jules, if you give that fuckin' nimrod fifteen hundred dollars, I'm gonna shoot him on general principles.

Question: When Jules and Vincent go to the students' flat at the beginning of the movie, Jules asks the guy on the couch to tell him where the briefcase is. He begins by saying "You. A flock of seagulls. Where is it?" What does he mean by calling him "a flock of seagulls"?

The_Iceman

Chosen answer: It's a reference to his hairstyle; A Flock Of Seagulls was a new wave band from the early 1980s who were as well known for their frontman's unusual hairstyle as their sound. You can learn more about them here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Flock_of_Seagulls.
